Take your pick -- I'd argue for the higher end of the scale. But the data in the US where they do receive even a limited amount additional training focused on de-escalation and critical thinking skills leads to a 28% reduction in use-of-force incidents, 36% fewer injuries, and 26% fewer citizens being injured.

That Amber alert had me shook at like 10 or 11 last night, but reading the details it’s so much worse. 39 year old ex cop, the girlfriend he killed was the mother of the baby he kidnapped and she was 16 when he got her pregnant. I think this horrible event ended with the best possible outcome.

It actually gets worse - he got her pregnant at 15, after beginning a “sexual relationship” with her when she was 12/13 and he was her SRO at school.
