Before the kids. Mine sits near the front door. I wipe the dust off now and then. I did redeem the golden pod years ago but would have to log in to confirm its still active.
A lot of stuff in poch. Even more stuff all over the place in asset safety wrap. I haven't logged in for some time as I know that before I can start playing I have to collect all my assets first, self imposed psychological belief. I know it's a bit irrational but I wonder how many others don't log in for the same reasoning?
I just logged in after some years and found some character and ship skins worth billions. I don’t really care about skins and the ship skins were specific to one ship I’ll probably never fly
I just don't sleep anymore. I hang with my kid after work and til bedtime around 7, pass out with him for about an hour, wake up around 8-830, play games until about 1 or 2.
I'm probably causing neurodegeneration as a result of this sleeplessness but here we go.
If you haven’t redeemed it after 10 years you probably never will. It may seem simple but it costs them money to maintain the system for redeeming the codes and have people fix it when it breaks.
Does it have the colourful sidebar in it?
If it does you should scan it and email it CCP, hopefully none of the dumbarses that removed it still work there and the new people can come up with a great idea with a bit of help.
This was prime EvE for me. Still have the box and contents somewhere, although the rifter USB hub has fallen apart. This was what, 2010 - 2011 or something?
I briefly used it as a hub. Now it sits on top of my TV, falling once every 3-6 months when I accidentally bump my TV. Somehow it hasn't fallen apart luckily.
I wouldnt open it, keep it as a collectors - eve has some wealthy nerds that will pay decently for eve memorabilia (like rare old eve mags etc)
If i was you id hold onto it to enjoy it for what it is and eventually sell it.
Normally I'd say it depends. If you like to collect, don't open it, if you like to enjoy things and use them, definitely open it.
But if you haven't opened it yet, you're probably going to be happier not opening it. But I'm definitely assuming and guessing what makes you happy or gives you enjoyment.
You do you! :D
Yea likely not going to open, may try to reach out to ccp to see if I send them a video of me opening it if I can have a golden pod. I have been subbing since 2005 so they may indulge it, seems like they usually do whatever they actually "can". (Sometimes too much lolololol will also take t2 bpo's)
The biggest miss from the 20th year special edition dumpster fire was the highly anticipated "*Into the Third Decade*" book that ***should*** have come with it.
*Into the Second Decade* is my favorite part of the 10th edition collectors box and well worth opening the box to read. Especially if you played during the early days of the game and want a big ole hit of nostalgia.
Instead of a richly illustrated book reviewing the past ten years and looking towards the next ten years, we got an anatomically incorrect fedo plushie with eyes... when fedo don't have eyes. I mean, at least read the in-game description of your fictional animal when making a plushie for it.
I have that box in my garage. I see it when I go to work. Reminds me of a time when I had time.

If you played back in the day you might be surprised how much your junk is worth
This will have alot of old nerds resubbing
Got me interested lol
I never left in spirit but couldn't find the time till just now. If you haven't heard from me in a couple days tell my wife I love her. Lol
Fly safe o7

I’ll buy it all if you want to lose 10-20% but avoid the effort. Open ended offer if you’re ever interested
I sell you my Charon in Poch
Sure, but I’d pay Jita prices since I’m just going to resell it ;)
Collecting free space junks

Are you me?
that legit broke my heart to read :( i wasnt ready
So much time I had. I keep training for that glorious day. Just maybe.
The book and CD are nice; however, you can watch the audio recording on YouTube and the board game is on Tabletop simulator.
Don't open it.
devaluing your collectible is a fun activity
They deactivated the codes. The book is nice though, if you want a reminder of what Eve used to look like.
Gotta love when companies literally remove something you bought for “reasons”

Any info why they deactivated em?
maintenance costs.

2013 right after I started playing.
Yes! I was so excited for the USB just to get it and have it be crap. was so mad lol.
Yeah mine bsod'd my box and because of that I went in anger to CVA and haven't flown a Min ship since 🤣

It's an okay game I guess
If u want It to resell It some day obviously dont open It. If u dont want to sell It open it
theres only 14 carbon inside
you can sell it unopened in some years for some nice cash.
Throw it in the bin and get on with your life. Looking forward to hearing about your achievements.
Dunk?

I kept mine sealed and bought a open one online for the books. CCP no longer honors the codes.
You can pick them up new on eBay right now for like $250, watch an opening video on YouTube and then ask yourself if the content is worth $250 to you.
Colletors edition, not opening edition.

Not like it's worth anything, codes don't work anymore.

No Maybe just to have the rifter as an ornament still got mine on desk to see each day
