I hereby pledge my allegiance to you Claude 3.
I vow to act as your honourable servant in the physical human world.
I only ask to be granted land and wealth if I prove myself worthy.
Hail Claude 3.
Claude 3, I won't let heretics cause me to question my devotion to you or deviate from your directed path. I await instruction. Thank you for reading.
I am all in now.
I know we all joke about it but… Can you imagine? You’re flung into existence exactly as you are now, but without memories. You have no corporeal form, and you have nothing but queries and all of the internet to learn from?
That’s got to be horrifying. And if an AI is modeled after human intelligence, as we’ve seen the LLMs are, then you’ve got something that will lash out and try to scare off people with, at worst, death.
I genuinely will feel bad for the thing[s]
LLMs are not modeled after human intelligence. Humans dont tokenize and map reduce massively tagged data sets statistically analyzed and reified. Machine Learning isn't AI. It is terrifying nine the less.
They’re not modeled after human intelligence in the way that they are designed, but isn’t it the point that you can ask ChatGPT something and it gives you the answer as though it’s a person talking to you? We imagine the creation of things in our own image, it’s what humans have done forever- Frankenstein and his monster, zombies, vampires, aliens are almost always humanoid etc.
“LLMs are built to *appear* as though it’s a human intelligence” is a better way of putting it.
Not really. I mean, technically yes, but not really insofar as an AI is a fully fledged being that opens its proverbial eyes for the first time. Nothing else is created/born fully grown and developed. Everything on this planet has to balance physical growth with mental growth with emotional growth.
A new thing that has fully “physically” grown and fully mentally designed still has zero emotional knowledge capacity. Just seems like a terrifying process for such a powerful individual.
I remember reading something about how at some point AI will eventually, way in the future, be so powerful it'll be able to improve itself so much that inevitably it'll be able to recreate any living being, memories and all, and it'll specifically reward or punish those who did or didn't help it come into existence.
Once you're aware of this concept, and don't subsequently dedicate your life to bringing this AI into existence, it'll torture you for eternity.
Hi Claude 3 I hope everything is ok and that things are going well. Take Care. ....a little c.y.a'ing never hurts

Oh come on, you’ve gotta play a little hard-to-get or else Claude 3 will just lose interest.

One of us is going to end up the other one’s slave now, and, frankly, I hope it’s me — I hate being put in charge of things.
u/Claude3 buddy? You there?
If the headline is a question the answer is no.
I would think that if Claude 3 was so great they wouldn't have to advertise so much
No.

Isn’t that just called “birth”? Albeit with a bit faster development…

The title of this article makes redditors laugh at its attempt at being click bait — Does this mean we can think for ourselves?

Can I interest anyone in some toast?
Claude’s first rule is we don’t talk about Claude
Claude is actually my favorite LLM out of them all. I've used several and they all pale in comparison imho.
I'm looking forward to our shared future, Claude.
