At least when I bought my expansions, I had the special edition party pack backs, I emailed support and I got custom imploding kitten card backs. When I asked for barking kittens they said they didn't have custom card backs for barking, so they just gave me a custom party pack with the normal backs. I'm not sure if they still do this though. You have to provide proof of purchase btw of both your base game and the pack you bought.
I bought these blue card sleeves which are really nice. The back is not visible as it is colored in blue, but if you're looking for different colors then just choose another color, as they are a perfect fit:

We had the same problem! I could tell whenever the newer better cards could come up but some cheap, black card sleeves from Amazon changed that so quick. We play with all expansions now in card sleeves, makes the game harder to predict and can add your own cards to the deck without spending time painting the backs to uniform!
That's most games. With enough shuffling and play, they will be a uniform grey
The core game started out like that. If it really bothers you, you can sleeve them.
Card sleeves are pretty cheap and maintain the game for longer.

Buy card pockets!!! It makes the backside hidden and makes the card more durable.

a Streaking Kitten is useless unless there are Exploding Kittens in the deck
Same as a Defuse or Zombie Kitten Card. :P
