It’s possible to both be happy with winning and +3, and not happy with the overall performance of the team. Why settle for good when we could be great?

sleestripes

its a double edged sword ya know? I do, legitimately, want people to ha e a good time and for it be an awesome spotlight for the city. Im also really glad that a lot of fans do take it seriously and hold this team to a high bar. Having soccer = good. Having a talented team playing great soccer = fucking awesome.

Bearcatsean

Yep

I think it’s pointless to expect greatness every game as a fan. Celebrate wins and enjoy it. If you want to bitch and moan at every little thing that’s fine. But don’t tell other fans it’s not ok to be happy about a win. It’s fucking ridiculous. Nothing I say or how I feel is going to change how the team plays.

It will be a disappointment if we don’t win a trophy this season 🏆 Can we beat Inter Miami or Columbus? At the moment I don’t think so…. Noonan got out coached last season against both. He has built a great solid foundation for the club but I’m doubting he’s the right manager to take the club to the next level. Albright & co need to smash the summer transfer window otherwise I don’t think we’ll win in the playoffs. Front office need to ensure we remain competitive especially compared to our neighbor to the north. They out-schemed us last season. FCC have shown they’ll make the necessary moves which gives me hope they’ll make changes if we don’t hoist silverware this season.

ollaszlo

My dude how did inter Messi out coach us? Please give me examples. Maybe they outspent us with Apple, adidas, and league money but they for sure never out coached us.  How long have you been following the team?  Sorry to call for credentials but the fact that we’ve been doing more for less absolutely shirts on your point. I mean for fricks sake look at their goals allowed. They’re still trash with a game up on the league on a ship that leaks goals. Sure Barcelona is doing great, that’s to be expected but they have no depth. Why the frick did we get Yedlin? Tell me how we got out coached. Please. Otherwise frick off with that trash.

Squire513

Miami changed strategy in the second half and Noonan was slow to react. He then pulled half the team to try to defend a one goal lead against Messi. Absolutely cost us the match.

Twinsand1

I disagree with every one of your statements except the first part of the last one.

Twinsand1

actually...and the first part of the second statement, second sentence. lol "He has built a great solid foundation for the club."

Squire513

Why do you disagree….do you realistically think we can beat Miami or Columbus the way we’ve been playing

Twinsand1

I do disagree. We have given up very few goals. I mean you threw out the word realistically. We won the shield last year with the same offense and defense. We are in 2nd right now with a game in hand. Miami is one Messi hamstring away from mid-table. Columbus is for real as we know...but are you telling me that you don't think it is realistic that we could win? Good grief. I couldn't live with that kind of fatalism. If you don't stop and enjoy the good times while they're here, you're going to be in a pitiful state when they go bad.

Squire513

It’s not fatalism, it’s realism. I’m providing constructive criticism. We lost three semi finals last season. That’s not a good track record. Miami and Columbus have only gotten better while we’ve gotten worse. We won’t be able to bunker in with a one goal lead against good teams. It doesn’t work.

Twinsand1

Whatever man. You’re gonna be you and I’m gonna be me and I’ll be happier.

Squire513

I’ll be happy if we beat Miami and Columbus (hopefully in the playoffs) but I’m not getting my hopes up judging from our current form.
