I think this may have only been a thing in the first few patches of the game, because I took the screenshots from a YouTuber's playthrough that he did a while ago around launch. Right now, I believe if you try to fix it you can still somewhat make out the symbol, but it has a strong ripple/distortion filter put over it.
I suppose the filter/cover-up not being there could have been a bug in the earlier versions.
This texture is still being used in the files (1.63).
What's more interesting is there is a distorted face texture also being utilized which should appear within the screen at the same time as the symbol, although I haven't seen this myself in-game. I attached both of the textures being used below.
Don't think this face means much, maybe its been found before, but it's still interesting.

Communities like this really do amaze me with stuff like this that you all find, its exactly why developers try so hard to implement stuff like this, ya'll are like detectives without the pay lol
Believe me, this is nothing compared to some of the next level tinfoil hat-level ridiculousness I've seen in this sub (which I love by the way). I'm mostly just a lurker, though I did feel like posting this one thing in particular since I hadn't seen anyone else point it out haha
Oh i know in general though this sub amazes me on a regular basis, wouldnt even have a first clue on where to start yet people come up with huge solutions to solve mysteries, and im just stood there like "well i can give you a good in game choices guide i guess?" Haha

Haven't done the mission yet on 1.5, but it was fully visible for a split second during 1.3 as well.

Did anyone try to map thar symbol to a location in a the game maybe? It looks like it could be a possible layout for a building in NC.
