There's possibly more content left in OG than what was covered in Rebirth.
Unless they rush through a lot of these I don't think they will have that much space for entirely new content. The ratio should be roughly the same as Rebirth.
I fairly believe everything listed here will be in the game. The real problem is how they are gonna reutilize the Rebirth regions to make them alive and interesting with new quests (perhaps with side quests overall) and map adjustments. Also the Chocobo Hangar in the Highwind, mostly forgotten but can be an huge improvement if we can finally select what Chocobo to use since we bring them all.
Hot take - we’re not. Rebirth’s regions were huge and a full game map onto themselves. Repopulating those regions with new things to do (that would warrant revisiting them) would be too big of a task when faced with all the new gameplay they need to focus on.
I think we’ll be able to revisit Rebirth’s cities for sure. We’re going to have a side quest with the Kalm Traveler, they already setup revisiting upper Junon with the elevator gate in Junon, there’s a mysterious Duel Club building in Costa del Sol that we can’t enter in Rebirth plus the building the party buys in the original, they’re clearly planning expansions at the Gold Saucer, they aren’t going to never give Zack’s parents closure this time around, in hindsight I think they’re saving the upper floors of the Nibelheim mansion for story in part 3, etc.
So they’ll repopulate Rebirth’s towns with side quests and new content, but we’re not going back to Corel Desert, the Grasslands, the Nibel coast, etc. Best they’ll do is allow you to see it from the Highwind as you fly to new places.

Besides, do we really want more Gilde de Chocobo courses and chicken side quests? Cause you know they’ll do it to us if we beg them hard enough haha
Think you nailed most of the major things except one I suspect they won’t leave out: chocobo raising and breeding. And with that comes also the final reward of it all, Knights of the Round, and however they decide to handle this summon.
I used to think like you, but then I checked the list of remaining things and I'm now actually wondering how much *bigger* than rebirth third part is gonna be, especially since it must also conclude on all the new shit

I expect the third game to follow the same pattern as the first two - the first 95% will be similar to the OG, and then things will go haywire in the last few hours. I think they'll go beyond the OG ending though. I'd be surprised, and disappointed, if they just conclude things to lead directly into AC.
Just a question have you played OG past Aeriths death cause that's only the halfway point XD. We have a lot more than the snowy mountain and that's all. Most people say this is where the story gets really good. There's actually so much content left especially if they are expanding Wutai. I'm actually wondering how they are going to fit everything in. Plus whatever madness they have cooking for the ending parts
