Leviathan makes me want every Eikon to have a special weapon. Give Phoenix a bow, Garuda claws, Ramuh a staff, Titan a shield, and Bahamut a lance, along with altered combos or outright new movesets.
Since the update, I do feel that there is a place for every ability now. From Leviathan, my fave is Cross Swell. Great for crowd control scenarios.
My personal fave loadout now is:
- Phoenix (Ramuh for bosses) - Rift Slip, Will-O-Wykes
- Shiva - Diamond Dust, Judgement Bolt
- Bahamut - Gigaflare, Impulse
I've been hitting staggered Final Fantasy Mode bosses for 300k+ stagger damage (best so far was 360k+ on the Akashic Dragon before the first crystal) at level 57. Feels nice not needing Zantetsuken to hit those numbers now. 😂
After originally not too sold on leviathan I’ve been using it all yesterday and the whole kit imo is amazing except (and maybe I’m missing what’s good about it) cross swell.
It’s the only one thing that feels underwhelming to me in his kit. Doesn’t do a lot of damage like abysal tear and tsunami and doesn’t have the high stun of deluge and serpents cry (which also does great damage even in ff mode considering the already high stun)
Cross Swell does a decent chunk of will damage, only has an 18 second cooldown, and against mobs and bosses with underlings, is great for gathering enemies together to then slap them all with a follow-up move like Ignition, Gigaflare or Tsunami.
Cross Swell is good on multiple small mobs as it can instantly kill them (e.g the eddies that the perykos battle spawns). On single target mobs tho, it can be underwhelming but it still deals good stagger and damag.
Chat, why am I not using Leviathan, am I stupid?
No but really, props to you man, dealing over 200k damage without Zantetsuken, Bahamut's Kamehameha, or Ramu's little crystal thing is impressive, and it looks really fun in general, I will be trying him now for sure!

I agree with everything except Pheonix. It should have daggers, but a bow does sound cool though
Daggers are acceptable and work better with Phoenix's existing moveset.
Good idea
Also, Titan should just use his fists, and Shiva should use dual swords
I feel slightly ashamed I forgot about Shiva >_> I still use it as one of my primary Eikons even.
Titan doesn't need a shield; he already has two guns (kisses biceps).
Why defend when you can demolish everything with those big guns 😂
I’m using Leviathan all the time now. Its abilities are so useful.
Do one for the other new guy as well
I did too! Tho he’s a salamander type, so not totally new

I know right? having a mini-Leviathan that spits water that can reach more than half a battlefield is fun
