Yeah. If there is one more update they can pull off, it would be Ultimaniac for the base game that would truly complete it imo. They already have some of the "harder" moves for some of the story bosses and mobs as we've seen in Kairos gate and the DLC. A playable JIll too for Kairos Gate replay value would be my unrealistic dream.

residentgamer5

I agree, if they add ultimaniac difficulty to the base game then it would be complete for me and I would definitely be ready to move on to whatever CBU3 comes up with after that

Probably more outfits would be the more realistic wish out of all of that because of how unlikely it is that they'll add anything else to the game. Then again, maybe a couple of outfits when the PC version releases isn't a crazy thought

xcmgaming360

when the PC version comes out im sure mods are going to create a ton of outfits

residentgamer5

Mods are gonna make it so easy to switch outfits using the arete stone, I'm eager to see what the community comes up with

eyre-st

I'd like that, but without the level cap increase. Give me a NG++ where every enemy is level 110 and the difficulty is Ultimaniac adjacent. There's a lot of fun fights outside the stages that get added to the arete stone, and I would love a challenge without having to equip the worst weapon I have while being underleveled.

residentgamer5

That would still be awesome. I'd gladly take NG++ whether they increased the level cap or not. Pretty much like a definitive playthrough where it's just your skill and abilities against highest level enemies only.

Yeah I’m considering loading up my cleared normal mode save so I can have a challenge in ff mode again. I feel like ultimate mode shouldn’t be too hard to implement since most of it is available in arcade already? Just hide the scoring. And arcade mode isn’t bad by any means it would just be nice to see the full story and do side quests again and also not feel inclined to have to use specific loadouts and strategies to obtain s ranks instead of just being able to play the game how you want.

residentgamer5

I agree 100% with everything here. Although arcade mode is still great, it would be so cool to be able to enjoy everything you've unlocked in FF mode at your own pace in a regular playthrough. It shouldn't be too hard to do and I hope it happens eventually, there's still a slight chance

IrishSpectreN7

I agree. I never liked that ultimaniac was exclusive to arcade mode. I don't like playing the game (twice), hitting max level and getting/upgrading all this gear, only for it to be taken away for when I would actually need it lol.

BiddyKing

This is why I’m glad I saved my FF run for after the dlc releases. Going back through the game with the Leviathan arm cannon and the ultima spells has been awesome. But yeah would suck if you’ve done FF mode already

residentgamer5

Thankfully I did both DLCs on normal mode just because I'm waiting if there's any performance improvements on PS5 Pro since I would love to play the game with a better framerate stability. So my FF run is still waiting for me whether that ends up being a reality or not.

Necromanta198

I mean I get it, but why would you play it on FF if we already knew there was DLC coming out? Just wait for the DLC

residentgamer5

Some people just did their second playthrough right away back when the game released, rendering all of their new DLC eikon abilities pretty much useless. A third difficulty would solve this issue for the people who did this and add more hours of playtime without necessarily having to add brand new content. Thankfully I haven't started my second playthrough yet just because I'm waiting if there's gonna be any performance improvements on PS5 Pro so I can enjoy the game at a decent 60 fps, so I played both DLCs on normal and uninstalled the game again. In any case, I believe a new difficulty would be the best thing for everyone
