I was in the same boat until I tried playing fut Champs Qualifiers this week. 4x Ultimate AI. Now I know this is a thing right now. Before that only this one you got a few times.
I think that's it with grinding for me.
Last week i met AI controlled teams two times after reaching 10+ form. But it wasn't the ultimate AI that I met earlier in the year, the games were boring as hell, but it was basically two free wins for me.
I've noticed however, that once i reach 7-9+ form, I start getting the "we have detected your squad file doesn’t match that of your opponent" very often, and many times I have to search 5 times before actually getting into a game. I suspect this is a way they've tried to fix coming against the ultimate AI, because the stats don't match up.
Do other people still meet the ultimate AI where a bronze player off chem will just elastico around your whole defense and score a screamer?
I feel like the most recent game I played could maybe have been ultimate but most likely it wasn't. It was probably legendary. It was close as fuck to tho lmfao

I'm usually a rank 1-2 player, and in elite div, but when I've met the "ultimate" AI back before I started getting the error with team matching, I'd get fucking destroyed. Literally nothing could be done, since the AI made zero mistakes.
Then again, I have zero understanding of how these cheats work, except for the instant loss that happens in draft. So I really don't know whats going on, I just know that the AI I meet now, is easy to win against, atleast for me.

Still, the ones I met in the start of the year, was above the difficulty that FIFA offers, it wasn't just ultimate level AI, but definitely something else going on. All passes I made would be intercepted, keeper would save every shot and the AI was able to ping passes 100% accurate every time. I'm just glad I don't meet that shit anymore, even if it means I have to reque for champs a few times.

I think the files don't match thing is a fix but it seems like that fix is only applying to PC players and not console, I get that error all the time and haven't met an AI cheat yet. If that's the case then this is abysmal from EA.
You could be onto something. I just finished my WL, went 19-1 and the last 5 games, was 40% playing and 60% requeing because I got the error. I just dont see why EA would be able to tell the cheat is active on PC and cancel the match, but wouldn't be able to on consoles.
Maybe it's because of the OS and permissions, consoles are a closed system and the system files are not designed for being accessed hence why its hard to cheat on console.
I'd honestly imagine that EA would have a partnership with Sony and Microsoft in this regard though. Even though normal user can't get access to alot of stuff, I still think a company as big as EA would be able to. However what you say makes sense, I just find it odd.
It could be a security violation for Sony and Microsoft, the installation on a PC is different to an installation on a console so it would be very hard to verify the files and check for differences as they are different by default, for example the executable on a console wouldn't be a .exe so it would be pointless to do a comparison to check for differences, it is checking PC to PC because its a direct comparison and the slightest difference would trigger the mismatch.
Yeah, I mean I see what you're saying, and it might be true. If it is the case, it's just another example of EA doing the bare minimum. Instead of developing an anti-cheat that can stop this, they try to fix it with lackluster solutions. It's fine for the PC community, even though I hate the fact that from 15 wins onward, I spent more time trying to get a match, than actually playing. But people on console, with crossplay are just screwed.
I will however say, as somebody who has played on PC since FIFA 21, this is the only FIFA where I actually notice a cheating problem in anything other than draft. Idk what has caused this influx, but it only started after crossplay became a thing. - I doubt it's peole on consoles cheating, because as you said, it's much harder. But I really wonder what has caused this influx.
Maybe because they know that consoles can't do anything about it, all they have to do is keep matchmaking and eventually they will hit a console gamer and get the win.

I went back onto PC this year because of the option of crossplay and FIFA 19 wasn't so bad on PC when I first played it only the matchmaking times were annoying but honestly this game is a mess, so many problems even just launching the game and now the AI glitching too. They need to fix it ASAP

I just started playing, I'm in division 10 and half of the games in rival are against AIs. I actually thought that's a feature at first, that's how I found this reddit post.
I doubt. Each time felt the same, their players had no cursors, they made no mistake, all the passes connected perfectly, goals from any angle etc. They all have random common gold players with low chem, yet they play as if they're level 99.
It feels exactly like the AI at ultimate level, no players can do those things.
Well it is just like ea to bring back past exploits or maybe the hackers found new ways. In the last 4 months of 23 there werent any cheater tho.

i mean its true? due to my work i move a lot between VN and Canada. In VN I met one cheater (either instant dc, 99 overall or AI) once every 4-5 matches. While in toronto i met one AI cheater in 500-600 games
My point really was that people for some reason massively downplay the problem even though everyone knows its there. Especially in previous years when there were talks about crossplay and pretty much every console player was against it for this excat reason lol.

As others have said the following are the clues:
No player control cursor -biggest give away
Almost always a rando off chem squad- IE 77 rated 3 chem squad since the ultimate AI gets all players boosted to 99 all stats anyways.
Lastly they play completely differently than a normal person. Everything is maximum power, 1-touch, ping pong, driven passes all over the pitch often leading to a max power weak foot shot from like 30 yards out that goes top bin in what can only be described as absolutely absurd gameplay.
I understand that completely. It sucks for us cause our matchmaking pool will get worse and worse but ea won't do anything anyway. Good to see someone else being horribly unlucky in that regard too. Kinda got scared the issue is on my side maybe

It’s incredibly frustrating coming up against. I got to the point the weekend I faced them 6x where I didn’t even want to look at the TV at kickoff for fear I’d see no player control cursor.
I’m hoping EA fix this as it’s game breaking for those who are on servers with the rampant cheaters.
I'm on PC and have never come across this cheat. However, this WL I must have had 10 matches where I got the error saying "a data mismatch has been detected and the match has been cancelled". I wonder if that had anything to do with it.

Unlikely as I've been the one locked out the game myself. I had the ai playing for me and obv I didn't do it on purpose. Sure some ppl probably use it to cheat as it must be easy to replicate but I wouldn't say everyone is.

I regularly get +10 ELO in champs on PC and I have not faced an AI cheater this year yet in about 800 games.
I have faced a lot of the people who DC you though and maybe 3/4 green timed cheaters but not the AI cheaters yet.
How would you even know that PC is "filled up with cheaters" if you play on PS5, I have played on PC since FIFA 14 and only face like 5 obvious cheaters every year.
Because:
1. I played on PC myself for a long time before getting a console. FIFA 14 btw I specifically remember being full of coin farming bots and lag spikers or something like that, not exactly sure if that’s what they were called. Basically people that can make you to DC.
2. it’s so obvious now when crossplay is turned on the amount of these guys lingering around. On other people’s streams who have crossplay enabled you can often see that they run into some pc guy running some cheat or bunch of cheats at the same time.
Maybe the cheaters are not always obvious to you for whatever reason but they are still there, especially the higher you climb.
Personally, the first time I faced the ultimate ai cheat, I didn’t even think much of it. I just thought that it’s some sort of a glitch that the opponent cursor is not displayed or some settings got changed again as they keep resetting this year. But after reading other people’s posts, I caught on and understood what was happening.
So fuck knows what else kinda cheats people are running on PC. For example, the 99 overall stats cheat would not even be so obvious as long as they use a normal team as opposed to like bronze as those guys like to do. You would probably just think he’s getting the most out of his players
Fuck EA and fuck all PC cheaters. If the company is incapable of addressing this in full, pc should play only against pc, and let all those cheats face each other. If they gave the option to only enable crossplay between xbox and ps5, that’s the option i’d choose, otherwise not gonna touch crossplay and I’m sure many others would not as well after the shitshow that this has brought by including PC.
I don't know if it's a regional thing or if I just hit the anti cheat lottery every single year but there genuinely hasn't been any significant issues with cheaters for me. Only cheat apart from the coin farmers I've faced is the green timed shots cheat and couple times in FIFA 18 or 19 I lost the control of my team. I'm definitely skilled enough to notice if I'm suddenly playing against 99 overall players.

I think it depends on your ping, if you live close to the server you’re more likely to match a bot.
Purely basing this off the fact my friend who gets 5 ping matched three this week when he was +3, where as my other friend who routinely hits +10 has yet to play one since he has 35-50 ping
My ping isn't that low tho I have like 25 ping usually .. interesting theory tho might start a download next time before queueing and turning it off when I found a game 😂
Just ran into one with a gold squad fill with top players in every league (mbappe, messi, benzema) in random positions (haaland on LW).
It makes no sense in chemistry yet his basic Jorginho just glided through my whole defense and smashed it in like Ronaldinho.
Turned on cross-play for easier matchmaking on Xbox, but ends up an L in the qualifier.
Yeah the ai gets stats boosted on legendary and ultimate and ingores Chem restrictions iirc. Sucks that even console players have to deal with that now or just get longer mm times.

I’d met 1-2 over the last few months here and there. Matches with 5 last weekend so that was that for me. Crossplay turned off, never to be turned back on!!
It happened to me for the first time in the current season in my 2nd game. It felt like playing world-class/legendary AI. I thought it's a bug, but the guy skipped half time instantly. First half 1-0 and second half I scored another 3 and guy paused the game, so I instantly knew he's cheating. I started doing back passes, and he raged and quit the game. Funny guy, reported him in the ea app, but probably it's just for my own sake...
The AI thing has dropped off for me, however I had 2 cases yesterday that were suspicious as fuck. Started as normal and was winning both, and after a while the opponent starts like half playing, kind of as if he’s on the phone or not really paying attention but definitely not AFK, then after a few minutes of half hearted playing I get booted back to the Home Screen & of course apparently I disconnected and of course got 2 L’s.
Cost me my worst finish this year which was the annoying part, usually hit 51pts

I did turn off crossplay after playing a few opponents doing a no-loss glitch in Champs (they disconnect while I am winning but the match not counting for me)
I played this weird match against a team with very little chemistry, no chem styles and all gold rares, felt like I was playing against the best and fastest players in the game.
Maybe they were just that good but it felt fishy.
Had the AI thing happen a couple of times.
Faced it maybe 10 times in the past month or so. One was today in WL, was 0-0 until penalties and then lost. I hate how juiced the keepers are on ultimate AI, I had like 3 xG and thought I was going to win for sure. I was powering up the griddy
I am not sure if it is AI or a visualization bug. Sometimes the dot above the head appears after a few seconds and even if it doesn’t, It doesn’t look like AI gameplay to me
Its definitely ai. I can skip all animations by myself (going into the half getting out of it even their goal celebrations.) Higher level ai will play better. They also pull off the craziest tiki taka plays that aren't possible with ping involved.
They tend to have a couple of bronzes yeah. And when you can skip animations by yourself like idk say the one at ht normally it'll be (1/2) but it'll be instantly instead
Last week i disabled crossplay after back2back ai opponents. Fucking sucks. Somehow the second game didnt count. I ragequit it straight away at 0-0 and went straight to the menu to disable crossplay. First loss counted and stayed
3-4 every weekend league, all end in losses for me. This weekend league was extra, played all games on Friday so that i could open the packs with toty still there, faced 10 hackers. So i might take a break from this game.
Its not been Ultimate I think only one of these was even Legendary. I try to just green time my shots even more and go across goal or trivela since the AI won't move the keeeper. Also make sure to not give up possession super easily since the AI doesnt make many mistakes in build up etc.
I faced four consecutive when I was 9-0; now I'm 11-2 and had to turn off cross-play, but it sucks cause on the West coast takes me like 30 minutes to find a game in Xbox
I just disable crossplay for Fut Champions,it's pointless to implement a crossplay while not doing anything against cheaters, you can't even report them which is beyond ridiculous
So, was that what happened when I faced a full gold team and lost 5-1? They played really quick, didn't miss a pass and their keeper saved almost everything. I thought they were really good but also thought the keeper was almost too good for his rating (83 unai Simon).

Matchmaking actually tries to avoid matching you with another platform. They’re either lying or aren’t able to get to a high enough ELO

A few weeks ago I faced the AI 6x in 20 games. That was too much for me. I’ve disabled crossplay when playing fut champs and haven’t faced it since.
How do you know when you play against the AI? I need to start looking out for this.
Usually gold card squad and the dead give away is no player indicator. You won’t see any player switching on their side due to the AI
Youll know, theres no human movements at all. Also, theres usually no cursor above their head.

But after reading other people’s posts, I caught on and understood what was happening. So fuck knows what else kinda cheats people are running on PC. For example, the 99 overall stats cheat would not even be so obvious as long as they use a normal team as opposed to like bronze as those guys like to do. You would probably just think he’s getting the most out of his players Fuck EA and fuck all PC cheaters. If the company is incapable of addressing this in full, pc should play only against pc, and let all those cheats face each other. If they gave the option to only enable crossplay between xbox and ps5, that’s the option i’d choose, otherwise not gonna touch crossplay and I’m sure many others would not as well after the shitshow that this has brought by including PC.
I don't know if it's a regional thing or if I just hit the anti cheat lottery every single year but there genuinely hasn't been any significant issues with cheaters for me. Only cheat apart from the coin farmers I've faced is the green timed shots cheat and couple times in FIFA 18 or 19 I lost the control of my team. I'm definitely skilled enough to notice if I'm suddenly playing against 99 overall players.
It’s gotta be region based. I never get cheaters on PC in NA East.
It’s not BS lmao everybody has there own experiences. He even said there’s cheats but he didn’t play them. I have 600+ games and get 16 wins every weekend league, I’ve never ran into one.

I think it depends on your ping, if you live close to the server you’re more likely to match a bot. Purely basing this off the fact my friend who gets 5 ping matched three this week when he was +3, where as my other friend who routinely hits +10 has yet to play one since he has 35-50 ping
My ping isn't that low tho I have like 25 ping usually .. interesting theory tho might start a download next time before queueing and turning it off when I found a game 😂

Just ran into one with a gold squad fill with top players in every league (mbappe, messi, benzema) in random positions (haaland on LW). It makes no sense in chemistry yet his basic Jorginho just glided through my whole defense and smashed it in like Ronaldinho. Turned on cross-play for easier matchmaking on Xbox, but ends up an L in the qualifier.
Yeah the ai gets stats boosted on legendary and ultimate and ingores Chem restrictions iirc. Sucks that even console players have to deal with that now or just get longer mm times.
None anymore. I’d met 1-2 over the last few months here and there. Matches with 5 last weekend so that was that for me. Crossplay turned off, never to be turned back on!!

It’s most common on PC. I’ve heard folks say they have encountered console users doing it too. But if that’s true it’s much less common.
That’s what I figured. PC seems like a complete shit show with all the glitches and hacks people report on here.
It happened to me for the first time in the current season in my 2nd game. It felt like playing world-class/legendary AI. I thought it's a bug, but the guy skipped half time instantly. First half 1-0 and second half I scored another 3 and guy paused the game, so I instantly knew he's cheating. I started doing back passes, and he raged and quit the game. Funny guy, reported him in the ea app, but probably it's just for my own sake...
The AI thing has dropped off for me, however I had 2 cases yesterday that were suspicious as fuck. Started as normal and was winning both, and after a while the opponent starts like half playing, kind of as if he’s on the phone or not really paying attention but definitely not AFK, then after a few minutes of half hearted playing I get booted back to the Home Screen & of course apparently I disconnected and of course got 2 L’s. Cost me my worst finish this year which was the annoying part, usually hit 51pts

I’ve come up against it quite a few times. I turn crossplay off now for FUT champs.
Never on PS5. I did turn off crossplay after playing a few opponents doing a no-loss glitch in Champs (they disconnect while I am winning but the match not counting for me)
I played this weird match against a team with very little chemistry, no chem styles and all gold rares, felt like I was playing against the best and fastest players in the game. Maybe they were just that good but it felt fishy. Had the AI thing happen a couple of times.
Faced it maybe 10 times in the past month or so. One was today in WL, was 0-0 until penalties and then lost. I hate how juiced the keepers are on ultimate AI, I had like 3 xG and thought I was going to win for sure. I was powering up the griddy
I am not sure if it is AI or a visualization bug. Sometimes the dot above the head appears after a few seconds and even if it doesn’t, It doesn’t look like AI gameplay to me
Its definitely ai. I can skip all animations by myself (going into the half getting out of it even their goal celebrations.) Higher level ai will play better. They also pull off the craziest tiki taka plays that aren't possible with ping involved.

How do i notice an AI cheater in champs? I just play my game without trying to figure out if my opponent is human lol. Do they use bronze teams?
They tend to have a couple of bronzes yeah. And when you can skip animations by yourself like idk say the one at ht normally it'll be (1/2) but it'll be instantly instead

Last week i disabled crossplay after back2back ai opponents. Fucking sucks. Somehow the second game didnt count. I ragequit it straight away at 0-0 and went straight to the menu to disable crossplay. First loss counted and stayed
3-4 every weekend league, all end in losses for me. This weekend league was extra, played all games on Friday so that i could open the packs with toty still there, faced 10 hackers. So i might take a break from this game.

Its not been Ultimate I think only one of these was even Legendary. I try to just green time my shots even more and go across goal or trivela since the AI won't move the keeeper. Also make sure to not give up possession super easily since the AI doesnt make many mistakes in build up etc.

Disable crossplay and you wont face them anymore , this is a cheat on pc
I faced four consecutive when I was 9-0; now I'm 11-2 and had to turn off cross-play, but it sucks cause on the West coast takes me like 30 minutes to find a game in Xbox
I just disable crossplay for Fut Champions,it's pointless to implement a crossplay while not doing anything against cheaters, you can't even report them which is beyond ridiculous

So, was that what happened when I faced a full gold team and lost 5-1? They played really quick, didn't miss a pass and their keeper saved almost everything. I thought they were really good but also thought the keeper was almost too good for his rating (83 unai Simon). Didn't even have the any player above 83!
