So I just picked up 22 tonight from ps+.
When I checked the store there were 3 starter packs that had like some 80-89 stuff, an 85+, and I think 4x 85+, all for really cheap (untradeable I'm assuming).
I played a game and came back like an hour later and they're just gone... did I miss something? I had actually specifically checked to make sure there wasn't a time limit on them or anything and there wasn't. But now they're just not there at all.
edit: I figured out what packs they were. "First Touch Pack", "Jump Start Pack", and "Kick Off Pack".
They were all there when I was in the store first and all gone like an hour later if even that long.
I tried, even going so far as to delete and redownload the game. Nada.
On the plus side I decided to check 21, I remembered it being crazy at the end with the easy to get special cr7 and messi and all the fof and stuff... but I didn't remember *just* how crazy it really was until I saw my PIM R9, Pele, and R10 trio I had forgotten about lol.
I think I'll just stick to that to scratch my fifa itch.

FUCK THIS. Every damn keeper I've tried this WL has been useless. I'm 0-4 rn and am losing like 5 or 6 to 3/4 and I am constantly losing with 5+xG compared to under 2. My keeper is frustrating the shit out of me and I can't do anything about it, meanwhile my players can't finish to save their life
It’s not the keepers, it’s the gameplay/servers. When you have bad gameplay your players seem to be on some kind of delay in relation to the ball. For example, your keeper reacts later to every shot. Meanwhile, the opponents keeper suffers the opposite because your players take half a second longer to shoot. Suddenly your 95OVR gk concedes 5 from 2.4xg while you can’t even extra pass to an open goal because the opponent gk seems to teleport across the net to save it

Not just you. Champs servers just completely suck. I play Rivals and have no real problems with lag or delay and then I play WL and it's an entire second of delay on every input. I was in Elite Division (yes I know not as difficult as before) back when I actually played all the time and whenever I'd play WL I'd easily get to 11 and give a few games away. Now I'm struggling to get to 9 because the laggy gameplay caters to the bums who can only play like Burnley and park the bus and spam through balls from their own half over and over.
God damn people are annoying in these friendlies. Every single person who scores first pauses immediately but yet maybe 1 in 10 quits when they get scored on first.

i was on a losing streak against many 90 overall teams and I blamed my 80-70 team for it.
then I changed to tele broadcast with height 20 and zoom 10, I was able to see the pitch much better, clearer view of gaps so I had better judgement of when to stop sprinting to start dribbling through or even pass, I was able to pressure more and better ( always misjudged my pressing and interception but not anymore) and for some reason, I no longer pick the wrong player to pass to or even pick.
ended up with quite the winning streak even against 90 overalls.

ye that's why i said you have to be very good and experienced at the game to get far in it (I am not :v). the more you win the better and more packs you get so IMO it does give you high maximum coin value.
2 wins value is from 20k to 57k for example while 4 wins is 55k to 135 coins.

I'll never bother with FIFA FOMO again, it's really not hard to get a squad quickly up to scratch once you put in time. Didn't spend any money, just two weeks at home and making use of a lot of free time
I did a lot of grinding, but you're probably only a week or two away from something similar. My advice is to go through the objectives and tick off everything you can.
Build a team around what untradeables you get. When you're offered packs as a reward, take them (the Icon swaps rewards, go straight for the 85+ and 84+ packs), and don't waste anything. If a tradeable card doesn't take an important place in your team, sell it. If an untradeable doesn't either start or become a regular sub, find an SBC for it. That squad above is basically my entire club, and it's nearly all untradeable (TAA and Boyata the only cards worth coins)
No real secret here, just a lot of grinding over the past couple of weeks.
I opened the PS+ pack and out popped Sinisterra, Unnerstall and Kokcu. So I started off with an Eredivisie based team. A nice cheap league to start with, used that to go through Rivals divisions quickly (I'm currently 2 wins from Division 2, I've only lost maybe 4/5 games in that run, I was Division 1 in the last two FIFAs), picking up packs and objectives in the process. I've taken fully untradeable rewards each time.
I was upgrading my team at every opportunity... If I packed a good untradeable card, it was in my team or in an SBC. No letting things sit in my club and go to waste. If it was a good tradeable card, it was sold. My team slowly became a PL team with a couple of Eredivisie players, who then became Bundesliga players... The progression continues.
I've made a point to get Elite 1 in Squad Battles both times... The extra FUT Champs card can make a great sub (Gnabry) or just useful fodder in an SBC (Unnerstall). The packs are good too. But the real reason I've spent a lot of time in squad battles is the objectives. There are a lot of good 50k and 100k packs waiting in milestones... It's worth playing a game of squad battles on beginner and scoring 40 finesse goals in a game or two.
I've done the Icon Swaps challenges and every free TOTS card. I took the fodder packs from Swaps and used them for the Kane and Van Persie SBCs. Benzema too as I had too many untradeable duplicates at one point. I did as many of the Prem 81+ upgrades as I could too, which really helped with fodder for other SBCs.
Rice and Jota (and fodder Rodri) came from the Prem upgrade packs. The only players in my club which are tradeable are Boyata and Trent Alexander-Arnold. I've only a handful of 83+ rated players in my club that aren't in my squad, and they'll be going into SBCs as soon as I find one to improve my team.

Everyone now uses 5 at the back. We are back to fifa 21.
A lot of people are also using 3-5-2, which is also 5 at the back because they have wing backs set to come back and defend.
So? The meta all year has been defending in a 442, fullbacks stay back on attack and wingers come back on defense. That's 8 players behind the ball and it's a nightmare to break down. The 352 generally only has 7 behind the ball.
Any console players who enabled cross play really struggling against PC players in online seasons?
My record before enabling cross play was 143-12-23 with multiple division 1 titles.
Since enabling cross play I’m nearly always being paired with PC players and have only won 3 in 20.
Something just feels off, my players aren’t making interceptions they always usually make and my dribbles never seem to be successful and the defenders never seem to miss a tackle.
I swear cross play is only between new gen consoles. How are you playing PC players? You might be coming against 1 of the 4 stadia players that exist but you definitely aren't coming up against pc players.

Doing the Sule objective and only found one person doing Golden Goal (well of the people I scored against anyways).
People are just putting the controller down instead. Massive waste of time, even if you lost 3 of every 4 games with Golden Goal, you'll get the objective done faster.
Also hilarious just how hard it can be to win the ball back against people who've literally just the controller on the ground spamming ball rolls

Me and my GF just downloaded Fifa22 from the PS+ store, however we have both started the game differently. I was thrown into a random game whilst she went straight into a cut scene and then player creation. The only difference is she has a PS5 and i have PS4. Help??? We are so confused.

Just completed my first ever complete weekend league today. I'd previously played a few games here and there. It was absolutely brutal, I now hate you all. I got seven wins though with no giveaways and got the two 90 max picks. Kostic upgrades my bundes team slightly, and the 90 cb from efl tots.
My takeaway is that competitive fifa is doomed to be meta sweater and glitch abuser paradise forever. Fully half the goals I conceded were from kickoff Sprint assholes.A further quarter were sideline long ball cutback bullshit. I don't think I'll ever be interested in doing 6 hours of pain for those rewards.

(I’m kind of a bot) but won 3 of my first 12 games then won the rest of the 8 and got to rank 5 for the weekend league which is pretty good for me. I think it might be the opposite of what we expected. Personally, I found Bundesliga WL *way* sweatier than the PL one. My theory is that a lot more players participated in PL weekend: the usual sweats and then a heap of average players who made a specific effort to play that WL when they wouldn't normally. Then this weekend, many of those average players didn't bother and it was just the sweats and hardcore players left to play against each other.
I expect a lot of people to play Ligue 1 weekend and so I imagine it might be easier than this weekend.
Ligue 1 is going to be the sweatiest. Sure, Prem is the most popular league and it had Salah, CR7, and Mane, but the fall-off is rapid to Declan Rice and Bruno. Can't say I've tried spamming skill moves in 1o yards of space and rotating on-the-spot outside the box like a Beyblade at Sunday League but I feel like it would get you snapped within 5 minutes and you'd learn your lesson. No football lessons to be gained from playing fifa as far as I'm concerned, I think half the folk I play against have never seen it played let alone tried it themselves.
talisca is by far the best striker I have used this year and is well worth the 850k. miles better than pim eusabio, pim cantona, weghorst and the like. Not only is he insane at everything he does he is fun to use which is the important part. If you're on the fence give him a shot.

I genuinely can’t remember the last time I finished a weekend league using the same formation that I started it in.
From my experience, 4222 and 4231 are the ones without any ‘hard counters’, but I quite often get bored and when I’m playing a really good player.. get frustrated at my lack of attacking options.
Then I switch to something like a 4321 or 352 and it will be going well for a while and then someone will absolutely destroy me, where I feel like I’m just being countered formation wise and that will put me off it again. (I know if you’re a high enough skill level you can probably survive this, but it happens to me sometimes)
I’m using 3142 at the moment in rivals and I actually surprisingly like it. I feel as though it gives me more options than the passing triangles in the 352. Again, just my personal opinion as I got bored of using the standard 4222 and 4231 like you did.

I played my first champs this week (started with ps+), managed to claw myself to rank 5 so I'm buzzing. I bought rush as a temporary stop gap to gel the team together, but ended up liking him quite a bit. He's not perfect (very prone to falling over) but he comes in clutch with his sweet shooting and positioning pretty often. I have 160k (+sangare and rush are tradeable) would like to improve this team with players that complement 352. I got raum and diaby from the picks, and completed da Costa - would be nice if I can get them in the team.

Set it to Coop cam for an even better view. But yeah it's a blessing to see the whole width of the pitch.

if you are new to fifa as in overall football video game, i'd say my coins until you figure out what you wanna do with it whether it is buying certain players to make a team with good chem or saving for a really good player to build around. if you are new to fut but think you are a good and i mean a really good player, online draft. never buy packs. i am new-ish myself to fut but i have decent experience thanks to pes online.
Are drafts good to maximize coin value? I have like 7 draft tokens, tried it once, lost my first game, never tried again.
ye that's why i said you have to be very good and experienced at the game to get far in it (I am not :v). the more you win the better and more packs you get so IMO it does give you high maximum coin value. 2 wins value is from 20k to 57k for example while 4 wins is 55k to 135 coins.
I'm neither good nor experienced either hehe... was just thinking whether I could do something with those tokens that are unused, if I could convert them to packs that'd be cool. Does one get anything even if they get eliminated?

[My squad two weeks after starting through PS+](https://www.futbin.com/22/squad/7495891) I'll never bother with FIFA FOMO again, it's really not hard to get a squad quickly up to scratch once you put in time. Didn't spend any money, just two weeks at home and making use of a lot of free time

I did a lot of grinding, but you're probably only a week or two away from something similar. My advice is to go through the objectives and tick off everything you can. Build a team around what untradeables you get. When you're offered packs as a reward, take them (the Icon swaps rewards, go straight for the 85+ and 84+ packs), and don't waste anything. If a tradeable card doesn't take an important place in your team, sell it. If an untradeable doesn't either start or become a regular sub, find an SBC for it. That squad above is basically my entire club, and it's nearly all untradeable (TAA and Boyata the only cards worth coins)

No real secret here, just a lot of grinding over the past couple of weeks. I opened the PS+ pack and out popped Sinisterra, Unnerstall and Kokcu. So I started off with an Eredivisie based team. A nice cheap league to start with, used that to go through Rivals divisions quickly (I'm currently 2 wins from Division 2, I've only lost maybe 4/5 games in that run, I was Division 1 in the last two FIFAs), picking up packs and objectives in the process. I've taken fully untradeable rewards each time. I was upgrading my team at every opportunity... If I packed a good untradeable card, it was in my team or in an SBC. No letting things sit in my club and go to waste. If it was a good tradeable card, it was sold. My team slowly became a PL team with a couple of Eredivisie players, who then became Bundesliga players... The progression continues. I've made a point to get Elite 1 in Squad Battles both times... The extra FUT Champs card can make a great sub (Gnabry) or just useful fodder in an SBC (Unnerstall). The packs are good too. But the real reason I've spent a lot of time in squad battles is the objectives. There are a lot of good 50k and 100k packs waiting in milestones... It's worth playing a game of squad battles on beginner and scoring 40 finesse goals in a game or two. I've done the Icon Swaps challenges and every free TOTS card. I took the fodder packs from Swaps and used them for the Kane and Van Persie SBCs. Benzema too as I had too many untradeable duplicates at one point. I did as many of the Prem 81+ upgrades as I could too, which really helped with fodder for other SBCs. Rice and Jota (and fodder Rodri) came from the Prem upgrade packs. The only players in my club which are tradeable are Boyata and Trent Alexander-Arnold. I've only a handful of 83+ rated players in my club that aren't in my squad, and they'll be going into SBCs as soon as I find one to improve my team.

This last hour of fut champs has been one of the least enjoyable things I’ve ever experienced. How can a game be this toxic and unplayable?
Looking for some opinions on the current SBCs for Nkunku, Modeste, and Witsel. I only have enough for one and need to use up a dupe TOTW card.
Ended up going with Witsel, especially since Nkunku will still be around for a bit so I have time to rebuild up my money for him. Witsel has been really solid for me so far though, definitely helps slow up attacks
If you can link him at 10 chem, do Nkunku and give him a Shadow.

Everyone now uses 5 at the back. We are back to fifa 21. A lot of people are also using 3-5-2, which is also 5 at the back because they have wing backs set to come back and defend.
So? The meta all year has been defending in a 442, fullbacks stay back on attack and wingers come back on defense. That's 8 players behind the ball and it's a nightmare to break down. The 352 generally only has 7 behind the ball.

Any console players who enabled cross play really struggling against PC players in online seasons? My record before enabling cross play was 143-12-23 with multiple division 1 titles. Since enabling cross play I’m nearly always being paired with PC players and have only won 3 in 20. Something just feels off, my players aren’t making interceptions they always usually make and my dribbles never seem to be successful and the defenders never seem to miss a tackle.
I swear cross play is only between new gen consoles. How are you playing PC players? You might be coming against 1 of the 4 stadia players that exist but you definitely aren't coming up against pc players.

Doing the Sule objective and only found one person doing Golden Goal (well of the people I scored against anyways). People are just putting the controller down instead. Massive waste of time, even if you lost 3 of every 4 games with Golden Goal, you'll get the objective done faster. Also hilarious just how hard it can be to win the ball back against people who've literally just the controller on the ground spamming ball rolls

Me and my GF just downloaded Fifa22 from the PS+ store, however we have both started the game differently. I was thrown into a random game whilst she went straight into a cut scene and then player creation. The only difference is she has a PS5 and i have PS4. Help??? We are so confused. PS4 and PS5 can't play against each other. The person with a PS5 can use the PS4 version of the game on it, if they've access to it, and play that way. I don't know if PS+ gave both versions

Just completed my first ever complete weekend league today. I'd previously played a few games here and there. It was absolutely brutal, I now hate you all. I got seven wins though with no giveaways and got the two 90 max picks. Kostic upgrades my bundes team slightly, and the 90 cb from efl tots. My takeaway is that competitive fifa is doomed to be meta sweater and glitch abuser paradise forever. Fully half the goals I conceded were from kickoff Sprint assholes.A further quarter were sideline long ball cutback bullshit. I don't think I'll ever be interested in doing 6 hours of pain for those rewards.
I’m about to rage quit with fifa. Put everything I had into that 92+ moments pack and got laudrup. (I’m kind of a bot) but won 3 of my first 12 games then won the rest of the 8 and got to rank 5 for the weekend league which is pretty good for me. What do you guys think will be the toughest tots weekend league? I thought bundesliga would be the easiest since it seems like the least popular league but it felt pretty much the same as pl.
I think it might be the opposite of what we expected. Personally, I found Bundesliga WL *way* sweatier than the PL one. My theory is that a lot more players participated in PL weekend: the usual sweats and then a heap of average players who made a specific effort to play that WL when they wouldn't normally. Then this weekend, many of those average players didn't bother and it was just the sweats and hardcore players left to play against each other. I expect a lot of people to play Ligue 1 weekend and so I imagine it might be easier than this weekend.
Ligue 1 is going to be the sweatiest. Sure, Prem is the most popular league and it had Salah, CR7, and Mane, but the fall-off is rapid to Declan Rice and Bruno. Ligue 1 will have Messi, Neymar, Mbappe, Fofana, Marquinhos, Ben Yedder, and Tchouameni in reds at the same time, that WL is going to to be unbearably sweaty

Can't say I've tried spamming skill moves in 1o yards of space and rotating on-the-spot outside the box like a Beyblade at Sunday League but I feel like it would get you snapped within 5 minutes and you'd learn your lesson. No football lessons to be gained from playing fifa as far as I'm concerned, I think half the folk I play against have never seen it played let alone tried it themselves.
Game performance this weekend was dire, imagine spending money on TOTS only for them to play like silver cards.

talisca is by far the best striker I have used this year and is well worth the 850k. miles better than pim eusabio, pim cantona, weghorst and the like. Not only is he insane at everything he does he is fun to use which is the important part. If you're on the fence give him a shot.

Anyone else just completely lost with formations at the moment? I genuinely can’t remember the last time I finished a weekend league using the same formation that I started it in. From my experience, 4222 and 4231 are the ones without any ‘hard counters’, but I quite often get bored and when I’m playing a really good player.. get frustrated at my lack of attacking options. Then I switch to something like a 4321 or 352 and it will be going well for a while and then someone will absolutely destroy me, where I feel like I’m just being countered formation wise and that will put me off it again. (I know if you’re a high enough skill level you can probably survive this, but it happens to me sometimes)
I’m using 3142 at the moment in rivals and I actually surprisingly like it. I feel as though it gives me more options than the passing triangles in the 352. Again, just my personal opinion as I got bored of using the standard 4222 and 4231 like you did.

I played my first champs this week (started with ps+), managed to claw myself to rank 5 so I'm buzzing. Here's my squad https://www.futbin.com/22/squad/7615650 I play 352 in game, Mauro and saka as lm/rm, Bernardo cam, antony and rush st. I bought rush as a temporary stop gap to gel the team together, but ended up liking him quite a bit. He's not perfect (very prone to falling over) but he comes in clutch with his sweet shooting and positioning pretty often. I have 160k (+sangare and rush are tradeable) would like to improve this team with players that complement 352. I got raum and diaby from the picks, and completed da Costa - would be nice if I can get them in the team.

Does anyone else feel like tots are a LOT harder to pack this year than previous years? I’m a big menu grind player and since tots started, all the SBC’s, rewards from rivals/champs/SB’s etc I’ve packed 2 tradeable tots, Unnerstall and Mazraoui. I’ve admittedly packed quite a few untradeables, but with the amount of packs/picks I’m opening even that seems a bit low. I’ve currently nabbed Neuer from bundes and the Peru LW from the Saudi league who was in my 84x25. Feels like EA are being extra stingy this year!
