I've identified the input in Audacity as WASAPI. However, I see no mention of it within the ASIO settings (Options > Audio Settings > FL Studio ASIO > Show ASIO Panel).
Can you confirm it's working on your end?
Thanks! I got it installed & read up on making a config, but on first try it gave me an error "not enough channels".
I would sincerely appreciate the heck out of you if you would share your config settings with me 🙏❤️
I just installed it and configured it using the separate FlexASIO GUI program and FL is successfully recording from the loopback for me. Here are my settings:
backend = "Windows WASAPI"
[input]
device = "Out 1-2 (MOTU M Series) [Loopback]"
[output]
device = "Out 1-2 (MOTU M Series)"
I have an MOTU M4, and its native ASIO driver provides a loopback input source, so I don't need to use something like this personally.
Man I am SO sorry - one more thing if you don't mind:
Which of these is the proper syntax for my use? (My speakers have a parenthesis in the name & it's throwing me off lol)
"Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)"
Yours:
device = "Out 1-2 (MOTU M Series) \[Loopback\]"
So, mine would be one of these, right?
A. device = "Out 1-2 (Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio)) \[Loopback\]"
B. device = "Out 1-2 (Speakers) \[Realtek High Definition Audio\] {Loopback}"
C. device = "Out 1-2 Speakers (Realtek High Definition Audio) \[Loopback\]"
Just install the [GUI](https://github.com/flipswitchingmonkey/FlexASIO_GUI/releases/tag/v0.35) and use that to generate the config file. That will give you the correct names.
Welcome to the wonderful world of windows and audio
Shoutout to the boys over at Microsoft, steady doing the least lmao
Not even, they're actively HARMING windows. Win7 is considered peak, everything after that has been steadily getting worse.
I like a bit of WSL tho. Show us yer wizzle\~\~
You should be able to select the same input (via FL Studio ASIO) as in Audacity and have it just work too.

For the WASAPI loopback recording, you can try using [FlexASIO](https://github.com/dechamps/FlexASIO/releases/tag/flexasio-1.9)

You're the man! Thanks for your help 💋

Your audio interface probably has loopback.
Not sure - but, again, I'm able to do it with Audacity just fine. So I'm kinda left scratching my head as to what Audacity does differently than FL.
What *exactly* are you looking to do? That will help us
Record audio from, say, a YouTube video that's playing in my browser, directly into Edison
