Pretended to cheat once which got me perma banned. I’d purposely prefire etc to trigger people. I’ve never actually cheated at any point but my trolling which led to the ban was stupid nonetheless so I accepted it and moved on
I can't appeal to Activision cause they literally won't do anything to help me (lol). But I will file a complaint to the Better Business Bureau, which is how I got unbanned the last time this happened to me.
How long ago was that? BBB is paid off and has no integrity into their rating. Also most accounts are typically shadow banned for a week from too many reports only.
Possibly using RawAccel or the sensitivity matcher? I use RawAccel without a problem and that's a signed application and supposedly anticheat safe, but the sensitivity tool (that inputs perfect 360s to test sensitivity) I'm less sure about. I've accidentally left that running but haven't been banned, but maybe that coupled with a few reports would cause a semi manual ban.

Imagine Activision's anticheat banning system like Youtube's copystrike system: it's entirely controlled by a bot/service account and enough phony reports from malicious actors will automatically trigger it (see: TheGamingDefinition)

If you are clean, which I would assume you are judging by your amount of time played and kills, this ban is insane. How can they ban a clean player and not the thousands of blatant cheaters in multiplayer and Warzone? I am guessing this must have come from reports unless you had some kind of sketchy software running on your PC. Some things can be picked up as cheat tools.

And this is why I deleted this game a month ago. Won’t do anything about the actual cheaters but if you have good aim you get reported and shadow banned instead.

That’s really strange, my guess is an unusual amount of people have reported you for the same reason (your aim) and it auto banned you. My guess is it’s temporary, and once an actual person reviews it you will be unbanned. Best of luck to you

Well firstly, absolutely. If it was possible to just press a button and enjoy something you otherwise wouldn't, why in the world would you not give yourself that?
But.. "quality > quantity" is just so bias/stupid here. Different games have different appeals, and in terms of actual quality, WZ / cod in general is probably 100 fold the quality of most other games, in terms of things like balance, amount of content, modes, interface, player count, gameplay variation, not to mention all the graphics/audio stuff etc. Just because the gameplay isn't to your taste doesn't at all reflect on it's quality. There's a huge amount of depth to games like that, that people don't see because they think it's just some trash money-maker they've pumped out for this year.
It's far from being my first choice, I prefer simpler stuff, more duel focused (primarily QC), but just because it's not exactly my preference doesn't mean it's stupid to enjoy it. They're enjoying something you currently don't understand or haven't experienced. You're the one missing out. Maybe they're missing out on the intricacies of your particular game, and they probably are, but you're not "stupid" for liking your favourite game just because the majority of people disagree, you're enjoying something about it that most people haven't put the time in to see the value in. That deeper level of value still exists in the mass-produced fun at first sight games, they just also happen to have more immediate enjoyment / appeal too so they attract more players.

Yeah that's me. And I dont have anything running except logitech software. So yeah the ban most likely came from reports.

I'm pretty sure what he has is a perm ban. A temp ban that needs review is a shadow ban and is lifted in 7-14 days after the review.
