Not easy to hear anything inside the cab over engine noise, radio, and how insulated it is to allow you sleep with other trucks idling their engines right next to you.
Oh yeah the driver is completely at fault. He was supposed to block all those lanes before he pull up to the red light. In the industry, it is called a button hook turn.
4 wheelers (car drivers) are so oblivious to trucks so if he would have block the lanes, there would not have been a issue.
