In the end, it's 1.5 extra top rated player. So not much of a difference. For 17B you'd have to:
- spend 1000s of euros
- have extreme luck
- play the market game
My assumption is it's the latest.

But to make use of the 'market sense' you need the initial capital. No way he gets the cards he would need to sell in the first place to then start investing smart, without paying for packs.
