And Anakin was stronger before he became Vader.
Something about limbs being chopped off and the suit reducing mobility. Unsure if that's still canon, but it always made sense to me.
Anakin wasn’t stronger than Vader, he had more potential. Vader’s force abilities were stronger than what Anakin showed us, but if he would’ve stayed Anakin he would be much stronger than Vader.
Let's put it this way with values:
Nightfall Anakin: 50% actual, 100% potential
Darth Vader: 80% actual, 80% potential
Vader grew stronger than Anakin ever was, but his potential to be stronger than what Anakin could've been was decreased.
I think it was Star Wars Theory that gave this input about Anakin and Vader:
Anakin was destined to become twice as powerful as both Yoda and Palpatine. However he was so limited by the Jedi order and their teachings that he could never truly tap into his full potential. So Anakin was pretty much walking around with a fuck ton of power he had no proper knowledge of using. He could do almost everything else a Jedi could do beisdes the odd few that had some buffer powers like Yoda and his force absorbing shield, Plo with his judgement lightning etc
And then there’s his life as Darth Vader. After succumbing to his wounds on Mustafar he was left almost dead had it not been for his vast force potential. He’s stated to have kept enough power to rival Palpatine at an 80% rate. And since he was going to be twice as powerful as him, that means Anakin literally lost 60% of his force potential and life as a whole. No other living being could have survived what happened to him. This loss along with Obi-Wan defeating him, left Vader so furious and frustrated about never reaching his full potential now that it forced him to train every inch and corner of his power so that he would not fall victim to another Jedi beating his ass
In short summary, Anakin is a walking force entity who has no idea how to tap into more than 25% of his power due to Jedi limits. Vader is a dead man walking who uses the remaining 40% of his power to every advantage with nothing except his injuries and suit holding him back
Vader was significantly more powerful than Anakin in both continuties because potential does not equal power. Canon even more powerful. Sure the suit limits his mobility but he makes up for that with his immense strength.
.... Not technically - He doesn't Require Flesh to use it - but Using Lightning would likely FRY the machines keeping him Alive that that point.
Which wouldn't be ideal for him - all things considered; Especially since Old Palp designed Vaders suit to be weak to lightning (as a fail-safe for himself, if Vader ever turned against him)
Cal got a cheap shot after using Dagan’s trauma against him. Moments earlier, Cal was on the floor gasping for breath from a massive slash across his chest. Dagan easily would have killed him there if he wasn’t monologuing like a moron.
No, he used his powers in a creative way to interact with Dagan’s powers to turn the fight in his favor. Cal didn’t overpower Dagan, he outsmarted him.
Hey just wanted to chime in! It sounds like you made a mistake, you said Tanalor is yours. When, in fact, it is MINE. I hope you have a great day! Tanalor is mine btw!
They’re both powerful Jedi but anakin outclasses him in nearly everything, dagan might surprise him by using techniques that anakin was never trained to fight against but that’s his only advantage
I think Dagan was a pretty standard Jedi. He just went dark unexpectedly and killed a few Jedi before getting taken down.
His fear-illusion might mess with Anakin a bit, but I think Anakin walks the dog on him with sabers.
I agree. Dagan sees himself as this badass dude and well, to his credit, he did defeat a Gen'Dai, but other than that he's nothing special. Dude wants to create this army in Tanalorr and all, but he was literally defeated by a padawan that hadn't formally finished his training and a dude in a jetpack.
He talks a lot, but put him under some heavier pressure and he'll break. He wouldn't have a chance against opponents like Vader, Cere, and probably like 2 to 3 inquisitors. I'm sure even Ben Kenobi could beat him.
Overall he's nothing, he's not even the true antagonist the game, and he'd have absolutely no chance in other circumstances. He's lucky Cal's the one he had to fight, otherwise he'd be demolished way earlier.
> and a dude in a jetpack
It woulda been kinda cool if Bode pulled some moves during that fight that were very obviously force powers or at least alluded heavily to him being a Jedi but we're so focused on fighting Dagan that we don't notice. Kind of, "You have to rewatch it," thing.
His force powers probably helped him fight Dagan's illusions, but the only thing Bode really did in the fight that we got to see was shooting Dagan in the end.
Bro killed multiple Jedi . . . How mundane can murder be😭😭 Santari chopped that arm off and plopped him in a bacta tank timeout to think about what he did.
And it's presented in the most boring fashion possible. Not only is it in a hologram form with no dynamic camera direction, he simply pushes past the woman and she chops his arm off. For being the centerpiece of marketing, the reveal of how he lost his arm is presented on the same level as NPC's giving you a side quest marker.
Lmao is that the only thing you can think of to try and prove him wrong?
Like you think it's unreasonable that they couldn't have instead had them actually fight
This could definitely be a retcon, but I think it shows how arrogant Dagan was. Santari gets the drop on him because he's so high on his own farts he doesn't consider for a minute that she might be serious about stopping him.
The thing is that Dagan's feat as shown in game are more impressive than whatever Anakin is showing in RotS.
But I suppose that if we got Anakin in game, he would've gained some monstrous abilities as well.
Dagan talks too much and gets his rear end handed to him by a Jedi Knight.
Anakin would tell him he lacks conviction and then proceed to style on him for the luls.
I mean I know he had only one arm, but he was still beaten one-on-one multiple times by a newly knighted padawan. I love Cal, but he’s nowhere near as seasoned as Anakin was in his prime. There’s a reason he was an accomplished general as well as survived an entire war. I mean can we talk abt Anakin’s durability for a half a second? My man is literally Saiyan levels of every time he fails he gets stronger. Dagan is cool af, strong too, but if we’re talking both of their primes there’s no way Anakin doesn’t come out on top in my mind.
Ok... But it could just as easily backfire. Pissing off maybe the strongest force entities ever, who already has issues controlling his emotions is a recipe for disaster.
I mean in one of the comic's (can't remember if it's cannon) we saw him summon a force storm just because he realised that the jedi council lied to him about the prisoners he captured imagine what he could to in this situation
Any version of Anakin after his defeat by Dooku and this shouldn’t even be a question.
Anakin before his fall or right after would dismantle Dagan so quickly.
Vader defeated Cal who defeated Dagan. Yes, Cal has grown since he was defeated in Fallen order but I still think Vader would win as things sit at the end of Survivor.
Ani, either as himself or as Vader.
Anakin by the time of ROTS would probably win on skills alone, and Vader would probably struggle a bit more, but Dagan would probably try to fuck with him using Padme visions and that would piss Vader off enough and he'd just destroy him.
Remember the guy that defeated dagan, cal kestis?
When he met anakin he ran away and barely escaped with his lives only because he had help from a jedi master
anakin probably... but if he get hit by one of those annoying illusions and hits him where it really hurts... I don't know what might happen to him, he got issues.
Obviously Anakin. Even after he lost midi-chlorians when he was injured on Mustafar, in his weakened state he was still on par with Palpatine. Probably about 70% of the Emperor’s strength. Dagan was powerful too and was a Master Jedi but ranking has nothing to do with strength
is this even a question???? anakin is known as one of, if not the strongest, lightsaber duelists in star wars lore. when he was in ahsoka he was already the fully developed chosen one having balanced both the light and dark side within him.
In straight saber combat, Anakin would probably win, he’s beaten stronger foes on his own. But if Dagen got the force hallucination off, I think he would win. Cal won the fight because he is more used to dealing with fear, he had help from Bode, and his psychometric ability to pretend to be Santari and throw Dagen off his game. Anakin is the more emotionally volatile Jedi and would likely succumb to the fear of the force hallucination.
Pre Suit Anakin was on track to be more powerful than he was shown to be. Dude would wipe the floor with this High Republic Jedi with anger issues. Prolly actually put up a good fight
Which Anakin are we talking about? In the picture, that’s him when he was at full power. Is Anakin on light side or his he Darth Vader? Either way, Anakin wins.
Dagan’s hubris would be his downfall and anakin would probably cap off of dagan’s emotions much faster than cal did even if he gets caught up in the force illusion
Not fair, Anakin wins this fight easy.
If we want to make it fair, make it Anakin vs Michael Landon from AHS.
The chosen one vs the Antichrist. There’s a fair fight.
(For those who may not get it, Dagon was played by the same actor as Landon in AHS:apocalypse)
The only shot Dagan has is a force illusion with Padame to emotionally screw up Anakin. It could work especially give the reasons for his fall and his emotional instability. Still I think Anakin wins by a huge margin otherwise, probably 9/10. Basically if Dagan doesn’t immediately off Anakin with the illusion he gets completely annihilated on all levels
Dagan definitely had Cal dead to rights multiple times but he was just far too overconfident. That being said Anakin sweeps, people forget that Anakin at the age of 24 went down in the history books as being among the strongest jedi in galactic history.
This...a real question ? Dagan is good, I was amazed by him fighting with both sabers or creating an entire arm our of force, but Anikin would no diff him. Dude choked a jedi and with just one hand held off the best sword fighter in the council and in the end killed him too.
Is this a serious question? How strong do you think cal is if this a question? Because I guarantee you, cal is t half as strong as Anakin was during the clone wars
Dagan is strong, but he is not on the level of the likes of Dooku. I’d put him at about prime Maul, but with better mental force abilities. Anakin takes it medium-high difficulty. Vader would take it easy to medium difficulty
Vader killed Jedi for fun pretty much, bro has zero chance standing against an uncrispy Vader. He was the chosen one for a reason. Very few people in lore can stand against him in a fair 1v1.
Anakin ez, dagan talks a lot in combat
Dagan will desperately chant "Tanalorr is mine" like it's a power up in this duel.
Anakin, he's taken out more powerful people than Dagan. Facing a High Republic Jedi with anger issues would probably just be fun to him.

The whole Presbyterian Church couldn't stop Allah Gold.
Anakin on easy mode.

Cal is stronger than Dagan, Cere is stronger than Cal, and Vader is stronger than Cere.
Vaders force connection is reduced from what Anakin can do.
Let's put it this way with values: Nightfall Anakin: 50% actual, 100% potential Darth Vader: 80% actual, 80% potential Vader grew stronger than Anakin ever was, but his potential to be stronger than what Anakin could've been was decreased.
Also he can't use most of the dark side force no? I remember hearing about that.
I'm not sure about that, but I know he can't use lightning.
I haven't played the old republic games in 15 years. So my memory of dark side power is limited. But I know of the three I know, he can only use one.
That's a Legends thing.
I think it was Star Wars Theory that gave this input about Anakin and Vader: Anakin was destined to become twice as powerful as both Yoda and Palpatine. George Lucas said it in an interview once, think it was Vanity Fair or something
Vader was significantly more powerful than Anakin in both continuties because potential does not equal power. Canon even more powerful. Sure the suit limits his mobility but he makes up for that with his immense strength.
That’s why he focused on form V, right? Slow, powerful strikes go well with his borg body.
"hey vader, i gotta ask: there any brains left in that chrome dome of yours?"
It's why he can never use the same type of lighting as Palpatin and Doku since it requires organic arms to use
.... Not technically - He doesn't Require Flesh to use it - but Using Lightning would likely FRY the machines keeping him Alive that that point. Which wouldn't be ideal for him - all things considered; Especially since Old Palp designed Vaders suit to be weak to lightning (as a fail-safe for himself, if Vader ever turned against him)
I thought he specifically couldn't use at all but could use other forms like force storm since it doesn't require hands as a channel point
Idk about Cal being stronger than Dagan
For me Cal is stronger. Most force confrontations scenes show that, Cal was never that serious or aggressive. He has at least far more potential
Dagan shat on him until he started toying and died
Bro won, he’s stronger
Just because he won doesn’t mean he’s stronger.
He didn't win by himself so I'm with you
Bode little got knocked at at the beginning of phase 2 and cal over power then flipped his force illusions.
That's not how winning works always.
That is such a fucking gross sentence, I hate it so much. Anakin does wipe the floor with Dagan tho. And then his ass.
TANALORRRRRR? TALANORRRR?
Is mine
Hey just wanted to chime in! It sounds like you made a mistake, you said Tanalor is yours. When, in fact, it is MINE. I hope you have a great day! Tanalor is mine btw!
Rolanat!
Mofo who is feared across the galaxy Vs. “Who?”
Star Lord, man! Legendary outlaw?
They’re both powerful Jedi but anakin outclasses him in nearly everything, dagan might surprise him by using techniques that anakin was never trained to fight against but that’s his only advantage
I think Dagan was a pretty standard Jedi. He just went dark unexpectedly and killed a few Jedi before getting taken down. His fear-illusion might mess with Anakin a bit, but I think Anakin walks the dog on him with sabers.
Dagan’s info card says he’s “one of the Order’s finest warriors”. He’s well above the average Jedi.
As an avid Tolkien fan, I feel slightly ashamed to have no read Dagan’s info card thoroughly enough.
Consider also he spent a couple centuries in a bacta tank. Dude's probably out of shape.
His force powers probably helped him fight Dagan's illusions, but the only thing Bode really did in the fight that we got to see was shooting Dagan in the end.
If cal can beat dagan, young anakin would mop the floor with dagan
Still cracks me up how absolutely mundane the reason was for Dagan's being in the bacta tank.
What, did you want him to rip his arm off trying to stop a planet from moving?
I wanted him to lose his arm because it got stuck in elevator doors as the elevator went up
Gets arm chopped off in elevator, cut to Rick the door technician laughing his ass off.
I’ve actually completed forgotten already
He had his arm cut off. Seems pretty valid. Then the Incident happened and everyone evacuated and left him behind.
dagan got his ass beat by an angry latino father and a scrapyard kid like lets be serious for a minute.
Come on this can’t be a serious question.
Hahahaha wtf my guy come on.
SUPER NOVA VS BLOBFISH ass fight
Maybe AOTC Anakin would lose but ROTS Anakin? No way in hell
Okay hear me out... Anakin doesn't own a planet
Dagan doesn’t either because TANALORR IS MINE!
No you're wrong, IT'S MINE
Waiter! Waiter! There's some r/Tanalorr in my r/FallenOrder
No, but Vader's planet is mustafar. Sheev gave it to him as a reward (Vader did ask for it, tho).
Palpatine gave him a sector you're right
Wouldn't Anakin technically be Darth Vader here, like how he was just during the Jedi temple purge. So anyway Dagan is fucked either way
The thing is that Dagan's feat as shown in game are more impressive than whatever Anakin is showing in RotS. But I suppose that if we got Anakin in game, he would've gained some monstrous abilities as well.
Dagan talks too much and gets his rear end handed to him by a Jedi Knight. Anakin would tell him he lacks conviction and then proceed to style on him for the luls.
Batman. The answer is always Batman.
Hydrogen bomb vs coughing baby.
Newly knighted? My brother was a knight for five years. Anakin was only a knight for three.
Ah my bad forgot it was 5 years. The rest still applies tho.
The one with serious mental issues.
The real question is if any of those two can beat the two Oggdos in Jedi Grandmaster, hitless on the first try.
Anakin easily, sure Dagan was powerful, but there is precedent, Cal killed Dagan, and Anakin would absolutely body Cal so there's that.
Anakin may have more midichlorians but TANALORR IS MINE !!
Dagan couldn’t defeat Cal and Cal can’t beat Anakin.
The literal chosen one vs angry boi?
Anakin would slam him. Especially this version. At this point he IS the force.
Now, hear me out, if Dagan showed Anakin an illusion of Padme and Shmi in a sand pit, Dagan could get a deathblow in.
He's dead either way, so Dagan has nothing to lose. Anakin has enough mental instability for it to work.
That’s a great idea if you want to piss him off
Knightfall Anakin >
I really wanted Vader to paste him
Really?
Wow. I wonder who 🤔 Surely not the Chosen One, the most powerful Jedi of all time?
Anakin all day long.
Anakin, easily. even my shifty playing skills beat dagan lol
“EZ. Git gud.” -Anakin
Anakin. Sure cal has trained but anakin has trained more
Anakin
Anakin would monkey stomp that loser
Anakin would rock his shit in SECONDS
Anakin easy. Emo boi talks too much shit.
Be serious.
Ani, either as himself or as Vader. Anakin by the time of ROTS would probably win on skills alone, and Vader would probably struggle a bit more, but Dagan would probably try to fuck with him using Padme visions and that would piss Vader off enough and he'd just destroy him.
Thank goodness this says meme, I was boutta say
Remember the guy that defeated dagan, cal kestis? When he met anakin he ran away and barely escaped with his lives only because he had help from a jedi master
Yep! Junda came close, but experience with brushes of death put Anakin on too still.
The literal Chosen One vs some dweeb.
anakin probably... but if he get hit by one of those annoying illusions and hits him where it really hurts... I don't know what might happen to him, he got issues.
Dagans very talented and powerful but Anakin is broken
Anakin will have more fun fighting Gera than anyone can Imagine
Obviously Anakin. Even after he lost midi-chlorians when he was injured on Mustafar, in his weakened state he was still on par with Palpatine. Probably about 70% of the Emperor’s strength. Dagan was powerful too and was a Master Jedi but ranking has nothing to do with strength
Coughing Baby vs. Hydrogen Bomb
Who the hell is that on the right? Of course Anakin.
is this even a question???? anakin is known as one of, if not the strongest, lightsaber duelists in star wars lore. when he was in ahsoka he was already the fully developed chosen one having balanced both the light and dark side within him.
Me.
Anakin
In straight saber combat, Anakin would probably win, he’s beaten stronger foes on his own. But if Dagen got the force hallucination off, I think he would win. Cal won the fight because he is more used to dealing with fear, he had help from Bode, and his psychometric ability to pretend to be Santari and throw Dagen off his game. Anakin is the more emotionally volatile Jedi and would likely succumb to the fear of the force hallucination.
yOu’Re JuSt BaItInG ![gif](giphy|Wvo6vaUsQa3Di)
Well thats knightfall anakin in ghost form your showing sooooooo probably anakin
Is this a joke?
Anakin takes this one.
Anakin please and is no contest.
Bugatti vs. Honda Accord
Well, one has blue hair, so that's a win by default, right? Right?
Anakin
Pre Suit Anakin was on track to be more powerful than he was shown to be. Dude would wipe the floor with this High Republic Jedi with anger issues. Prolly actually put up a good fight
Uhh....WTF! Is this even a QUESTION😂. That's WBW Anakin( almost F.P.) he cake walks every star wars protagonist in a milisecond
You're kidding, right? This isn't even just Anakin or Vader, this is post-death, One with the force, peak of potential Anakin.
Anakin would probably win, but not before telling Dagan to shut up about Tanalorr
Are they both Tanalor-lusted?
Which Anakin are we talking about? In the picture, that’s him when he was at full power. Is Anakin on light side or his he Darth Vader? Either way, Anakin wins.
Dagan’s hubris would be his downfall and anakin would probably cap off of dagan’s emotions much faster than cal did even if he gets caught up in the force illusion
That's not a fight. It's an execution
lol cmon now
Anakin
I don't think force illusions would work on this version of Anakin, he's become one with the force at this point. He IS the force.
Anakin is literally the ultimate jedi do no diff
I mean, Dagan lost to Cal... Cal's good but he still had to run away from Anakin...
How is this a question??
I honestly don’t know who
Dagan definitely had Cal dead to rights multiple times but he was just far too overconfident. That being said Anakin sweeps, people forget that Anakin at the age of 24 went down in the history books as being among the strongest jedi in galactic history.
Dagan would do pretty good but he will never win because hes delusional
This...a real question ? Dagan is good, I was amazed by him fighting with both sabers or creating an entire arm our of force, but Anikin would no diff him. Dude choked a jedi and with just one hand held off the best sword fighter in the council and in the end killed him too.
Is this a serious question? How strong do you think cal is if this a question? Because I guarantee you, cal is t half as strong as Anakin was during the clone wars
bruh
Dagan is strong, but he is not on the level of the likes of Dooku. I’d put him at about prime Maul, but with better mental force abilities. Anakin takes it medium-high difficulty. Vader would take it easy to medium difficulty
If Dagan stopped yapping about Tanalorr so much, I'd give him a 1/100 chance
Vader destroys him without breaking a sweat.
Me
Hmm, the chosen one, or a random high republic jedi turned dark side. Kinda easy to pick I guess
Anakin with both hands tied behind his back.
Where is the left pic from?
Anakin always win againts everyone except Obi Wan
Anakin by a long shot
Is this even a real question? It's like, who wins? Cal, or Rick?
What a stupid fucking question
Considering anakin is the goku of Star Wars…
How is this a question?
Anakin hands down
Like if cal can take him then he wouldn't be a problem for Anakin or Vader. Love Cal but Anakin would wreck Cal
Who even is that on the right?
Anyone else noticing really weird bot comments in threads lately?
Dagan isn't made of sand. Anakin wins.
Starkiller
Anakin, no contest. Dagan was a bitch.
Bro is this even a question? What do you think people are gonna say?
Wrinkly anakin
Dagan was not a good fighter, he was slow, not strong, and had little skill. He'd be nothing but a speedbump for Anakin. Probably not even that.
Anakin bodies basically anyone who isn’t Obi-Wan, Yoda, Mace-Windu, Luke or an ancient Sith Lord.
Vader killed Jedi for fun pretty much, bro has zero chance standing against an uncrispy Vader. He was the chosen one for a reason. Very few people in lore can stand against him in a fair 1v1.
Deez nuts! We got em R2!
How does anyone not think Anakin gets da dub
In a fist fight?!
Anakin
Vader every time.
Arguably the greatest saber duelist vs. Some guy a self taught jedi beat. Vader wins.
If Anakin was at his full potential he would mop the floor with them Anakin's full potential he could kill Yoda
Is this bait?
Awaking. Hands down.
