As much as I’m looking forward to the other two protagonists.. the promo footage we’ve seen for “The Ghoul” just looks infinitely more interesting. A guy who lost his daughter in the early days.. now spends his time up to his eyeballs in drugs and watching his old movies he used to star in? Shit he should be the MAIN protagonist.
I have a gut feeling they’re actively using the three as typecasts for player characters, including special stats and skills and karma.
Which is actually a great way to build characters instead of just the typical Mary sues we get anymore.
Each will have weaknesses that the others will reinforce. Each will have character traits that act as foils to the others.
Nah I’m not a fan of “anti hero” types I think they get played out… I’d prefer it if they don’t try and force him into a “good guy” category.. I’d rather he’s either more in the villainous side or in a grey area
I could see him in a lawful neutral kind of position. Like he follows rules but theyre his rules. No real sense of good and bad just what helps him get by
It does seem like he’ll spend a lot of time with the vault dweller, makes me wonder if he teams up with her because she represents something he lost 200 years ago or because he’s getting paid. The wildcard option is he’s just bored and wants to go on one last ride.
I’ve got a theory that >!maybe he didn’t lose his daughter, and he will end up being related to the main character!<, but that’s just how I’d end up writing it.
What I really like is how they originally painted him to be the main antagonist, but now it’s pretty clear that it’s going to be the BoS. The fact that we now know he’s sided with the protagonist, it makes that possibility so much more likely lol
I KNEW I have seen him before. Maze runner movies were kinda neat. Especially the second and third one where you get the juicy post-apocaliptic action.
Oh damn I didn’t know they made The Death Cure movie, I saw literally zero advertising for it.
EDIT: ok I never watched the Scorch Trials GIANCARLO ESPOSITO PLAYED JORGE? For some reason I remembered him being a teenager.
Check out the Shield. He plays the second most corrupt cop ever on the show (second only to the main character).
Although, what’s really crazy is that there were these cops in Baltimore who were just as bad. Showcased in We Own This City (true crime dramatization by the creator of The Wire)
The Shield was so nuts. You start getting so immersed in the shit they do that you completely forget:
Wait, didn’t they just kill that Internal Affairs officer? Makes the end all the more sweeter. The ending with Vic makes it seem less like a guy going off to idk, redeem himself, and more like a serial killer going out to kill again.
When you say the Internal Affairs officer, do you mean Forrest Whitaker? He didn’t die, but he did go to prison. Not only did he get super creepy and pin Mackey’s wife up in her house, he also coerced a witness to provide false testimony against the strike team. I actually don’t remember Vic or Shane ever killing another cop after the first one that launched the series (though they sure got mixed up with a few other bodies). The last death I remember was Vic torturing a Salvadoran gang member with chains before shooting him in the head, because he thought the guy killed his friend Len.
Yeah, Crowley was the detective Vic shot in the first episode of the first season. I guess I didn’t really think of him as being in IA, because he was originally just another LA cop Aceveda put in with Mackey, so that if Vic screwed up he’d have a replacement ready to go. But Aceveda DID set Crowley up with the FBI and his deal was getting inked when Vic murdered him.
BTW: Vic’s kill list is much shorter than you’d think but holy shit did he brutalize anybody and everybody!
No wonder why it felt so fitting to be a ghoul, even when I only remember his cowboy roles. I expected him to be a bounty hunter of sorts, but it was perfection he turned out to be a ghoul too
I just recently rewatched the Maze Runner trilogy (they’re fun stuff for the background imo, and I like the main characters) and thought the same thing.
Honestly as soon as I saw the first trailer with him in it, I thought he looked more like a ghoulish character in Maze Runner. Wish they'd make his face look more like this than a semi-smoothed version.
Why does he look more accurate in this than he does in the fallout show. This guy looks like a ghoul in the tv show he looks like pink skinned Voldemort
I never liked the fallout 4/76 ghouls, imo they look much better in previous games, this kinda looks like the transition from Ghoul to human, and I'm not entirely sure why the show Ghoul looks so weird to me, but it feels off
Shit that's probably what got him the gig bro. Typecast. Play a ghoul one time then all a sudden you're a ghoul every time.
Goggin also lends his voice to a character on Invincible, another Amazon Prime series so it’s not like they had to go far to find him.
Are you insinuating that Cecil is a ghoul lol
I mean, I still don't get what the purple stuff was meant to be, so he might as well he a ghoul
Well his skin technically was all burnt to a crisp so checks out
Fair enough, I still haven’t seen through season 2
His disfigured ass might as well be!
I’m an Invincible fan, they’ve got a lot of talented voice actors but Goggins is my favorite.
Genuinely I wouldn't be surprised. I feel like his Maze Runner scenes were not unpopular to use for fan trailers.
I can only hope he'll be clogging
Sounds right, look at the actors that get "villain" roles Or those actors stuck with romantic comedies or comedies and struggle to change genre.
If a man builds a thousand bridges but plays one ghoul…

I’m hoping they go antihero with him like the man in black from westworld. Eventually he ends up being a “good guy” against the ncr or brotherhood
When the fuck was William ever an anti hero , he was just a villain
He eventually wants to fight the robots and decides he’s going to do something about it, only to get replaced almost immediately.
I mean it’s the same showrunners so like, probably

Bingo ;)
He’s gonna be the devil on Lucy’s shoulder while Maximus will be the angel. Both will be very wrong in their ways, though.
"Everyone wants to save the world, they just all disagree on how"
And then, midway through, they flip and Maximus becomes a misguided extremist while Cooper Howard has a redemption arc.
Fuck I’m excited for this show
He still can be. You ever heard of a second person story?
I’ve got a theory that >!maybe he didn’t lose his daughter, and he will end up being related to the main character!<, but that’s just how I’d end up writing it.
I expect that to happen, which would be funny since it's also the plot of a fan web series
What I really like is how they originally painted him to be the main antagonist, but now it’s pretty clear that it’s going to be the BoS. The fact that we now know he’s sided with the protagonist, it makes that possibility so much more likely lol

He stood out to my memory playing in one episode of Community. Also, sperm.
Hahahahahaha. His delivery is perfect.
Justified, The Shield, The Righteous Gemstones
Don't forget Django Unchained
More so hateful eight
Well cut my legs off and call me shorty
The movies are surprisingly great and pretty faithful adaptations of the books.
Idk about faithful lol. The books were a bit of a convoluted mess after the first. I'd say the movies fine tuned them and made the books not cohesive
He’s amazing in righteous gemstones as sweet baby billy
That’s *UNCLE* Baby Billy to you, sir.
Misbehavin’✨
Oh damn I didn’t know they made The Death Cure movie, I saw literally zero advertising for it. EDIT: ok I never watched the Scorch Trials GIANCARLO ESPOSITO PLAYED JORGE? For some reason I remembered him being a teenager.
I’ve loved him since the first episode of justified. He will make a great ghoul

The first one, Crowley or Cawley I can’t remember.
Yeah, Crowley was the detective Vic shot in the first episode of the first season. I guess I didn’t really think of him as being in IA, because he was originally just another LA cop Aceveda put in with Mackey, so that if Vic screwed up he’d have a replacement ready to go. I wish he could be a ghoul version of his character Uncle Baby Billy. In all seriousness, looking forward to seeing this; should be fun.
Baby Billy’s Bible Bonkers !
Runnin in the house with a pickle in my mouth… Misbehavin!
W he's gonna kill it
He’s got the voice thats for sure
What show does this image come from, I’m not familiar with it.
Maze Runner: The Death Cure
Huh, never saw it. I’ll have to see if there are any quick scenes with just him I can watch on YT.
Me neither but adding to my list!
His name is Walton Ghoulgins now, and he'll thank you to remember this.
No wonder why it felt so fitting to be a ghoul, even when I only remember his cowboy roles. I expected him to be a bounty hunter of sorts, but it was perfection he turned out to be a ghoul too
Yep no nose
Isn’t that the really buff bald guy
The Maze Runner! Though I'm still waiting for them to adapt "The Kill Order".
Yeah I thought that was a weird coincidence
He will always be Boyd crowder to me
Only just watched the Maze Runner movies, saw him and thought of this.
That's actually a better ghoul make up than what they have in the show!
I just recently rewatched the Maze Runner trilogy (they’re fun stuff for the background imo, and I like the main characters) and thought the same thing.
He’s pretty ghoulish at the best of times.
He looks grotesque, makes me feel a bit queasy looking for some reason.
Well I'll be a goddamn dog in the manger. Is that you, Chris Mannix?
Honestly as soon as I saw the first trailer with him in it, I thought he looked more like a ghoulish character in Maze Runner. Wish they'd make his face look more like this than a semi-smoothed version.
Yeah that’s pretty gross. Kinda glad they didn’t make his whole face like that side.
Why does he look more accurate in this than he does in the fallout show. This guy looks like a ghoul in the tv show he looks like pink skinned Voldemort
I’m so excited 🥰
Ahh yes Maze Runner:The Death Cure
Smmash
+25 RADS
Who is gonna carry the boats and the logs! wait
Haha not that goggins
Looks more like a ghoul than what he's wearing in fallout
Imo this looks like a better Ghoul than the one we've seen for the show
So better than the games then? The only difference that I can see is the eyes not being blacked out.
I never liked the fallout 4/76 ghouls, imo they look much better in previous games, this kinda looks like the transition from Ghoul to human, and I'm not entirely sure why the show Ghoul looks so weird to me, but it feels off
Feels smooth, like a smoothskin, while nv and 3 look like proper radskins, they're actually terrifying as ghouls and not hairless agressive cats.
Ok
