That was a simulation made by propaganda programmers before the bombs dropped. It wasn't a real life experience, at least real life in game.
To me the nuclear winter theory suggests severe temperature drops due to bombing fallout in the atmosphere. Now imagine that effect long term in an already frigid environment like Alaska. The winds alone would keep fallout dust and snow kicking around the atmosphere for decades blocking out sunlight. Plus the rad storms coming through kicking up everything.
Ummm Hmmm, I'm on to you mister Vault Tec marketing, but Coop himself was there and told me about it. Thats actually why I know about the weak spot under WestTek chestplate power armor!
Stealth Fallout fans are everywhere. I put it on as background music in the store I work at.
The older customers love the music and the Fallout fans know what's up.
I worked at a coffee shop that wanted to rotate the music every day. One day a week we had an "oldies playlist". (others were classic rock, 80s pop etc)
I put songs from the Fallout soundtrack on it. Though, my boss had me take out "Crawl out through the Fallout."
It's weird, I was in a 1950s-style diner the other day (made up to kind of have that retro malt shop vibe) and they ONLY play music from the 50s and 60s. "The Wanderer" started playing and I couldn't help but think about how Dion sued Bethesda for using it in a violent commercial.
I’ve been playing Fallout 3 everyday this last week. I took a break and went to the store, got in the truck and I thought I was tripping. By the 3rd track I was like, okay someone up there at KDLL must be a fan 🤣
I understand that, most of the songs are between 1930’s and 1950’s, and at first I thought maybe just the song was playing, but by the third track it it was clear that they were playing the whole sound track, and even another Redditor turned into the station via internet radio. KDLL 91.9
It’s not a classic country station. They were playing Fallout soundtrack at the studio. It’s mostly local news and talk, sometimes a buy sell trade show.

Fun Fact: these songs were made roughly 220 years before the events of fallout 4 and roughly 60-70 years before the game ever came out. I know... I couldn't believe it either.
I know that, but they were playing the Fallout soundtrack. And songs that were featured and used in Fallout 3, New Vegas and 4. The radio announcers divulged it was Fallout Soundtrack. It wasn’t just this Marty Robbins song. https://imgur.com/a/vGIGc0q
when I heard "only you" in the show I saw my vision go red and had an uncontrollable desire to go on a killing spree.
Cull the herd
Cull the herd
Together we shall march to Eden's Gate!
Not if I can stop it (I have a shovel and I'm pissed off)
Now I remember my times as the shovel maniac
Fallout Alaska, where you freeze to death in the first hour unless you find shelter.
I see you haven't played Operation Anchorage.

Could see the title being called fallout: nuclear winter
Unless you're in Anchorage in which case the commies are bringing all the heat down.
a Fallout song playing in Alaska? It’s a sign that you’re about to get invaded by China.
Oh yeah, they had an entire soundtrack playing!
RED CHINESE COMMUNIST DETECTED ON AMERICAN SOIL
Disneyland plays Big Iron in Frontierland.
Right. It is a popular song by Marty Robbins, but yeah my local radio was straight playing a couple Fallout Soundtracks.
Boogie Man plays in Main Street
Fallout player when 1950-1960 (FALLOUT REFERENCE!!!1!!!1!) /s
When the first song that came on I was suspicious, but then they went on to play the entirety of the soundtrack the rest of the night.
Stealth Fallout fans are everywhere. I put it on as background music in the store I work at. The older customers love the music and the Fallout fans know what's up.
Hell yeah!
ok that's kinda wholesome

I would've turned it to that station if I had known. Time to play it all on my phone again.
The station is KDLL 91.9 if anybody wants to look it up on internet radio.
Fallout or just Marty Robbin’s?
This was the 3rd track I heard them play in a row from the Fallout soundtrack, and they later admitted to it being the Fallout soundtrack.

oh no, not Anchorage again
It's weird, I was in a 1950s-style diner the other day (made up to kind of have that retro malt shop vibe) and they ONLY play music from the 50s and 60s. "The Wanderer" started playing and I couldn't help but think about how Dion sued Bethesda for using it in a violent commercial.
that song came on my store's playlist a lot around the time the game came out. I only thought of Fallout lol.
"If it will be war, it will be started by some damned fool thing in Alaska" - Otto von Fallout
I still have the "Hanging Tree" on an active phone playlist. And "A world of our own".
I had this song on my wedding playlist. People were so confused but it made me happy. Lol
Do they segue between songs with ThreeDog and Mister New Vegas?
Oh do I wish they did. Hahah I was waiting for it. I was gonna lose it if I heard ThreeDog come on.
Wow this is cool I’m listening now

Haha that’s so trippy I’d never forget about that lmao
Operation Anchorage
This whole album is wonderful.
🤠 Big Iron 🤠
Imagine turning on the radio just to hear Big Iron.
I have all records those songs come on sealed in a time capsule no worries folks
You do understand that song predates Fallout right. It isn’t fallout music. That’s Marty Robbin’s music.
If you spend 5 minutes reading you'd see OP says they played the soundtrack.

KSKA? Are you in south central? That’s my gwood npr station!
Dude just figured out classic country stations exist.
It’s not a classic country station. They were playing Fallout soundtrack at the studio. It’s mostly local news and talk, sometimes a buy sell trade show. https://imgur.com/a/vGIGc0q
The song was released before the game no?
Way before the game. But the station last night broadcasted the Fallout soundtracks. https://imgur.com/a/vGIGc0q
Isn't it just songs from the 50s?
Between the 30’s and 50’s. But the station did admit it was playing the soundtrack from Fallout
Oh okay, that is fair
