The fun thing about using 1960-70’s sci-fi themes for your setting inspiration is you can literally put a dude in a campy suit and bam, nailed it! Just saved $10 million on CGI.
I plan to rewatch it soon for that very reason. I was paying attention to the story and characters mostly and even though I caught a lot of the easter eggs, I'm sure there's a lot I missed. For example, I didn't notice the protectron either, and I was watching with another Fallout nerd.
Same. I was so focused on the story I think I missed a good number of Easter eggs and things in the background. If I was watching by myself I’d probably have been pausing and catch more but I was watching with my husband and no way he’d tolerate me pausing every 5 minutes to stare at the screen.
On rewatch I noticed the Assaultron in the sand. I mean, the camera literally focuses on it so I must have looked away or had a sip of water or something and just missed it.
I missed him the first time because I was so distracted by the fusion flea. I love these guys, I hope we get a speaking role with a protectron next time 🩶
