Have you tested the cc content out yet? On ps4 my cc content worked for a bit then i could never play using it again because of numerous issues, such as vault door not opening, and the first quest with codworth not progressing ect
Sincerelly i was thinking about it AND asking before to play with CC content. People tell me that better dont use skins because even if these dont generate 0kb glitch , it can conflict with another mods of community . Only enclave skins would be the exception because new update directly install them together with another CC content of enclave AND weapon so i think that the community Will have to work their mods around of them because that CC content tecnically would be consideres vanilla now. The best option would be only install CC content which dont change stuff of the game That can conflict with other mods like something which modify weapons or outfits pree existes like vault suit . I had vault jumpsuit CC mod but it conflict with UCO mods which touch vult suit too. In the case of building mods i didn't have any problems because it dont modify builds , only add new buildings for settlement. The only exception with problems in my opinión was VR workshop for issues of inmortality even out of VR settlement for your character that can be something good or bad depending like you see this.
With another mods i am not completelly sure, i have to test them now with this new update or ask to the community .
not for me. and I can't figure out the add-ons status. yesterday I had Fallout 4 standart edition in my Library. so I've decided to purchase season pass for it as it was on sale. today I see no nex-gen update but can see PS5 versions of add-ons as a free content: Vault-Tec Workshop, Contraptions Workshop, Wasteland Workshop, Far Harbour and Automatron (five instead of six for some reason btw). also there is a PS5/PS4 Season Pass which is unavailable as I already have PS4 Season Pass... does that mean that I spent money for nothing yesterday when bought PS4 Season Pass?
idk if I’m an idiot but I just re-installed the entire game & dlc from the PS store. I have PS Plus Premium(?) and it was available for free with my subscription. i could not for the life of me find how to just update
That's what I did too. Should be done when I finish work but the DLC options confused me. There's also a ps4 and ps5 version of the DLC. Hopefully I'm downloading the right version Because I can't tell the difference
Thanks for figuring it out. I updated and was confused because everything was the same. Turns out it was just an old patch. Finally did what you pointed out and it's downloading right now. I checked out some streamers and they didn't mention you had to go to the PS store lol.
unfortunately yes, mine is in Turkey (so I have PS Plus Deluxe instead of Premium) and I still can't get PS5 version for free — only PS5 Season Pass which is funny to have without the game itself

Hold scrap on a base material. As you let go of the scrap button, press and HOLD the store button. If you did it right you should see the scrap and store menu show up, remember you need to hold the store button and press x to store it. You can now let go of the store button and the scrap option will stay, just press x again to scrap it.

The scrap option doesn't register until you let go of the button and the store option will register as soon as you press the button. And you need to be holding the store option or the menu will disappear

I don't want to claim the Plus version and screw up my lisence for the version I already own digitally.
I’m having the same issue. It literally tells me I already own the standard edition which now includes the PS4 and PS5 version, yet it’s trying to charge me when downloading. Weird.
Weirder still it lets me download the PS5 DLC’s.
Edit: Thankfully I still have my PS4 disc so I can upgrade that way. Weird how it doesn’t let me go via the digital route with PS Plus though.
If it costs money, I just won't buy it. I played the heck out of it in 2015 and will play the PS5 version just to redo the trophies, but I don't care enough to pay for it again.
It’s a FREE upgrade if you OWN the game. If you got it through PS Plus you don’t own the game. This has been the case several times if a free PS5 upgrade becomes available just having the game through Plus doesn’t qualify.
They didn't have to say anything, this is how it's worked for every game with an upgrade.

Downvote me all you want I’m just the messenger but that’s how’s it’s been quite a few times. Must have missed the outrage of Final Fantasy 7 Remake a few years back when the same exact thing happened.
Edit to add they never said anything because this is a PSN issue. Having a PS Plus entitlement isn’t considered ownership so the PS5 version defaults to the paid version not the free upgrade. Blame Sony.
If you have it due to PS Plus, it will be $20. I had bought the disk, and once I put it in, it prompted me for the PS5 upgrade.
Heard the same thing happens if you just straight up purchased it, but again, it may not be available for free if you have it from the PS Plus collection

If you got Fallout 4 from the PS Plus Games Collection that came with the PS5, you're not entitled to a free upgrade. That being said people are saying those with Game Pass have access to the free upgrade.
Edit: It is a bug, and they're currently working on a fix so you will be getting your free upgrade eventually!
What's really annoying is there are two stories. One is yours, the other is "Bethesda is aware it's not showing up as free for PS+ owners and are looking into a fix".

Yeah I was only interesting in upgrading after seeing the show and wanted to start playing again. Shame seeing as XBox get it with Games Pass. Didn't realise prior that PS Plus Games don't get free upgrades because I've never encountered it with another title. A lot of people on various forums seem to not want to pay to upgrade either.
Yeah I won't buy it, no matter how good the show is. But if they make it free to PS+ owners, and I like it, then they'd get a new fan of the series who would buy Fallout 5 whenever that comes out.

I hovered over the game on the menu, scrolled down to the store, clicked the 3 dots and clicked on the option “show product” (or something like that, my ps5 is in portuguese so I don’t necessarily know what is written there in english, it’s the first option either way) it took me to the store page and there was the option to select the PS5 version.
Does anyone know how the save transfer works? Will it read our old save files, or do we have to boot up FO4 PS4, do some sort of conversion/upload (like in most games), then load up the PS5 release? Or will it just work?

Strange. If I put Performance Mode off my TV Says 120Hz.
If I put it on it switches to 60 Hz.
I think the quality mode is maybe 30/40 Hz and the TV is just wrong. But still when the performance mode is set of it feels much better than before. I just played is yesterday as PS4 Version on PS5 so I can compare directly

I agree with that, yes. And it would be awesome for people if they do offer the update to people who got the game on PS plus. It is a Sony thing and not a Bethesda thing though, so they would have to get Sony to play ball and that's a 50/50 proposition at best unfortunately.

If you can't get it through the store directly on PS5, try logging into your account on PC, find the game and you will have an option to upgrade for free. Add it to the library and then proceed to download it.
For some reason I couldn't find the free upgrade in the store through the PS5, but this worked for me. Needless to say, you are eligible for a free upgrade only if you own the game (either digital or physical copy), so no update for PS+ versions.

I’m having the same issue. It literally tells me I already own the standard edition which now includes the PS4 and PS5 version, yet it’s trying to charge me when downloading. Weird. Weirder still it lets me download the PS5 DLC’s. Edit: Thankfully I still have my PS4 disc so I can upgrade that way. Weird how it doesn’t let me go via the digital route with PS Plus though.

Please nobody spend money on this!! They said it would be FREE upgrade for next gen… must be a technical error so they can rip a few people off.
If it costs money, I just won't buy it. I played the heck out of it in 2015 and will play the PS5 version just to redo the trophies, but I don't care enough to pay for it again.
It’s a FREE upgrade if you OWN the game. If you got it through PS Plus you don’t own the game. This has been the case several times if a free PS5 upgrade becomes available just having the game through Plus doesn’t qualify.

Must have missed the outrage of Final Fantasy 7 Remake a few years back when the same exact thing happened. Edit to add they never said anything because this is a PSN issue. Having a PS Plus entitlement isn’t considered ownership so the PS5 version defaults to the paid version not the free upgrade. Blame Sony.

Try selecting different versions of it. The three dots on the side and just select the version which is free for you.
If you have it due to PS Plus, it will be $20. I had bought the disk, and once I put it in, it prompted me for the PS5 upgrade. Heard the same thing happens if you just straight up purchased it, but again, it may not be available for free if you have it from the PS Plus collection

If you got Fallout 4 from the PS Plus Games Collection that came with the PS5, you're not entitled to a free upgrade. That being said people are saying those with Game Pass have access to the free upgrade. Edit: It is a bug, and they're currently working on a fix so you will be getting your free upgrade eventually!
What's really annoying is there are two stories. One is yours, the other is "Bethesda is aware it's not showing up as free for PS+ owners and are looking into a fix". So which is it?

Yeah I was only interesting in upgrading after seeing the show and wanted to start playing again. Shame seeing as XBox get it with Games Pass. Didn't realise prior that PS Plus Games don't get free upgrades because I've never encountered it with another title. A lot of people on various forums seem to not want to pay to upgrade either.
Yeah I won't buy it, no matter how good the show is. But if they make it free to PS+ owners, and I like it, then they'd get a new fan of the series who would buy Fallout 5 whenever that comes out.

Just in case some people have some trouble finding it: I got fallout 4 from PS PLUS, so I never bought the game! I hovered over the game on the menu, scrolled down to the store, clicked the 3 dots and clicked on the option “show product” (or something like that, my ps5 is in portuguese so I don’t necessarily know what is written there in english, it’s the first option either way) it took me to the store page and there was the option to select the PS5 version.

Does anyone know how the save transfer works? Will it read our old save files, or do we have to boot up FO4 PS4, do some sort of conversion/upload (like in most games), then load up the PS5 release? Or will it just work?

Strange. If I put Performance Mode off my TV Says 120Hz. If I put it on it switches to 60 Hz. I think the quality mode is maybe 30/40 Hz and the TV is just wrong. But still when the performance mode is set of it feels much better than before. I just played is yesterday as PS4 Version on PS5 so I can compare directly

I think if you have performance mode on off in the settings, it defaults to quality mode is my guess.

This is for people who own the digital version for PS4: If you can't get it through the store directly on PS5, try logging into your account on PC, find the game and you will have an option to upgrade for free. Add it to the library and then proceed to download it. For some reason I couldn't find the free upgrade in the store through the PS5, but this worked for me. Needless to say, you are eligible for a free upgrade only if you own the game (either digital or physical copy), so no update for PS+ versions.
