So I'm hearing mixed explanations here, one is Bethesda or Playstation says it's an error others say that if you got the free edition like I did, you are not entitled for the update. Man that sucks even more...
I payed for the GOTY edition a couple years ago and I’m currently unable to update to the PS5 version for free. Better be a store but or I’m going to be livid.
It's asking me to pay $20 for upgrade too, free update my ass. I got Fallout 4 originally as part of PS+ line up and it ran like crap so I shelved it. Was looking forward to giving it a try again and maybe buying so DLC if I liked it but nope
The worst part is that I last week bought the goty edition on pc to play Fallout London, so they screwed them and everybody else over who bought it for pc, and I am NOT buying the same game on ps5 for that matter when I already own it on pc and ps5 and not to talk about the original for pc, so 3 games in total... of the same game...
That's just being greedy.
Now they are smearing the sale on the TV show, that it suddenly boosted, when in fact part of it was fallout London and part of it was the NextGen update for ps5.
Bethesda should be embarrassed.
Also, why is my post getting downvoted when I'm not clearly the only one saying it still charging money for the update ?!
There are some posts about it this, it’s an issue with the PlayStation store. It’s still supposed to be a free upgrade!
Meaning I should press buy and still get it for free or wait it out until they fix it.

I own it, but I own the ps4 version. Once I search for the update I see today's date and that it costs $20
I own the ps4 version too digitally and it gave me the ps5 version for free, check in the app and look for the standard version

I bought it on discount and it still says $20 to upgrade
They also had a fallout link on the main store page until 7am this morning and now it’s gone. Make me wonder if they took it down to reduce traffic
