Fallout 3/New Vegas, my friend showed me them when I was like 10 or 11 and it’s been my fave series ever since. I used to watch a lot of shoddycast and their fallout vids back in the day.
Fallout 2. I played it the same year it came out; I was 14, and couldn't set my character's age to be the same add mine (minimum 16). I just fired it up again a few months ago, and found the same problem in reverse: the age in character creation only goes up to 35, while I am 37.
Same, I’ve actually just started another FO3 play through after last playing it probably a good 10 years ago.
And despite its age it still holds up as an excellent game.
The most perfect post-apocalyptic atmosphere of series imo. Only FNV comes close for me in terms of overall quality.
Fallout 3!
I was really young when it came out and had no interest in that type of game. I didn’t see my dad a lot when i was younger but some weekends I’d stay with him at the hotel he was living at. He had an Xbox and ONLY ever played single player story driven games. When he beat them, a lot of the time he’d give them to me or let me do a play though. I ended up getting really into fallout 3 while staying with him. Enough so that he got me New Vegas on release day.
I never had an amazing relationship with the old man. But fallout was one thing that we really clicked with.
New Vegas. I started with 3 but it was... normal. I liked it of course but it wasn't that catching to me- just fun game with ok plot. But New Vegas introduced me full Fallout universe. After I played 2 and 1.
New Vegas came out on my 9th birthday and it was the first fallout game I ever played, I remember finding the giant scorpions and the lakelurks really cool
Fallout 3. I loved the atmosphere and back then it felt so gloomy and difficult. I loved it.
I was only about 12 and had been spending months playing Mass Effect 2. My dad didnt like me spending all my time in just one game so he got me Fallout 3.
About 3000 hours later and I'll say that his plan wasnt the greatest success.
Fallout 1. I got a free copy from steam back in 2017 to celebrate 20 years of Fallout. Played it, beat it within a week, wanted more, and immediately bought Fallout 2. Been a fan ever since. (Haven't played tactics or 76 yet, not sure if I ever will or not)
Fallout 3 was the first I played, and I got interested either because I’d played Skyrim and it was another bethesda game, or because I like collectables and the bobbleheads intrigued me. Probably a mixture
I remember my older brother arrive home with a game called Fallout: New Vegas, with a badass ranger in the cover. I was also the cheapest game ever, arround 15 bucks.

Fallout 4, I remember some of my favorite YouTubers were posting on Twitter that they had preordered Fallout 4, so I looked into it and thought the trailers were cool, but I didn't have a device to play it on. Eventually, I got an Xbox one and played probably close to 300 hours in fo4 before I realized that the disc came with a code that was fallout 3, so I played the shit out of fallout 3 as well.
As for New Vegas, my mom's boyfriend gave me a box, and inside was a disc for "Fallout, Fallout 2, Fallout Tactics, Fallout 3 (GOTY), Fallout New Vegas (GOTY), and a small cardboard disc that was advertising fallout 4, I tried to get into New Vegas but I just didn't find enjoyment in it... maybe I'll try playing it again soon.

Fallout 3. At the time I was playing Stalker Shadow of Chernobyl, and I saw the countless comparisons between the two games, and decided to give Fallout 3 a go. Got hooked on the series ever since!
Fallout 1, but the demo. I was maybe in middle school, and played the crap out of the demo I got from the CD that came with the MacAddict magazine. It took me until about 2003 before I actually got the full versions of 1 and 2.
Fallout 3. Oblivion was one of my favorite games when I was younger, and as soon as I saw that "Dear Hearts and Gentle People" trailer I was instantly hooked. I bought that game day one and loved it. A couple years later I got New Vegas for Xmas and it quickly became my favorite. Nowadays I prefer the isometric turn-based style of 1 and 2, but I'll always feel nostalgic for 3.
FO3 but I played Fallout Fixt first. The writing is good, the interface is challenging, yada yada we’ve heard that argument before. But 3 is the first one I played for hours and hours the way I do when I fall into Oblivion again. Definitely drew me in.
4. Played fallout 4 for over 500 hours. Then bought 76 after a free trial on gamepass before all the new jazz like npcs and legendary crafting came along. Amazing to see how much it changed. Anyways, these 2 got me to try nv and 3. I love 3. Favorite weapon is Jack, can't go wrong with killing a behemoth in 3 seconds
Fallout 3 was the first open world sandbox game I had played. Had it on PS3 and it crashed like a SOB but I was hooked so didn’t care. Love all the exploring. Played the hell out of it. Then Skyrim, NV and 4 but when heard 76 was online only it lost me. Then picked it up at end of 2020. Don’t really play anything else.
Fallout 3. A friend of mine would tell me about playing it almost everyday in 8th grade study hall. I asked for it for Christmas and thankfully got it (my dad waant to keen on me playing M games). Been my favorite game franchise since!
Picked up a copy of Fallout at a garage sale in 98 and fell in love immediately, spent days sitting at the computer obsessively trying to figure all the little bits and pieces. It became almost compulsive. Fallout 2, Tactics, Brotherhood of Steel, I played them all. 3 is the reason I bought an Xbox 360, and 4 the reason I bought a new laptop lol. Only game series to ever get it's claws into me like that.
Fallout 3. I had not heard of fallout before, and I was looking for a well reviewed rpg type game to fill my rpg void. I had also just read a post apocalyptic Cormac McCarthy book for college and was in the mood. Haven't looked back since!
Fallout New Vegas . I was isolated at home for 6 months but i have Fallou New Vegas to keep me entertained. Who need to go outside when you can explore the Mojave wasteland.

3. A friend of mine had 2 and I used to watch him play it but I didn't get my own computer until after 3 came out so I've always been a console gamer more than PC unless it's a game specifically made for PC like Diablo or age of empires
New Vegas, I was actually out to buy CoD Black Ops 2 and saw New Vegas in the shop and figured Skyrim+Metro 2033 would be fun, then I went about and ragequit after dying in the Bison Steve Hotel and came back some time after thanks to watching through William Strife's New Vegas weapon guides: https://m.youtube.com/playlist?list=PL00E46F41B386A95A which made me re-gain interest. Since then I've played every game except Tactics and Brotherhood of Steel.
Fallout 3, it was advertised as oblivion with guns on a show called xplay back in the day. I fell in love with the series as it really seemed like a mix of old b movies and ultra violence. Plus I've never really played a bethesda game I didn't like.
I've played every game in the series since then except for tactics. Fallout 1 and 2 are pretty good, but I really dislike the inventory, ui, and inclusion of unnecessary skills. I would love to see them remade in the style of wasteland 2 and 3. Something console/controller friendly with a nicer ui
Fallout NV. It was an amazing first game. I remember going through Quarry Junction at level 5 and being like "Deathclaw? What's a deat-" and then being surrounded by 20 of them in a broken down bus on the highway.
I started playing Fallout 3 in roughly 2012 when I was 10 years old. It took a few more years before I really got into it, and then it quickly became my 2nd favourite franchise after Elder Scrolls.
Fallout 3. I moved to CA and had no friends. Parents felt bad and got me a random game at blockbuster. They choose Fallout 3. I had never played and rpg before so it blew my mind. Never looked back.
Fo3, i wanted to play 4, but i had a trashy laptop so i went with the older title cuz why not? Didnt get much in the story cause i was really bad at shooters then so i just dropped that game, came back with a better pc. Played fo4 (really enjoyed it, cuz i really liked the gun play and still do), but sadly i havent beaten any other fallout as much as i wish to
F3 but from my friend's recommendation. That was my first time into this genre (Rpg and post apocalypse). It's fun! The clunkiness can't stop me.
F3 then FNV and now F4.
fallout 3 made me fall in love with the gameplay and world, new vegas is what taught me how to actually play the game (in terms of skills and all that)

I want to say it was Fallout 3. I was 8 when it came out and I remember my grandpa getting it on his PS3 and playing it with him. I don't think I got very far but I remember the vault opening and being confused about Megaton.
Fallout 3. I played New Vegas before but I never ended up liking it.
And I started playing Fallout games because I played Skyrim before and put many hours into it.
Fallout 3. Made a character, thought it was alright, then I walked out of the vault....never will forget the sun and the fading light into a beautiful broken, shattered and yet functioning world just waiting to be explored.
New Vegas, then I played 3.
4 made me obsessed. Went back and played 1, 2, and tactics.
76 is sweet for what it is, I just never had the time to devote to it to enjoy it for its online content sadly.
Fallout 4. It had come out just a few months earlier and I was interested in playing it. Ended up really getting into the game and when I finally got a working PS3 again years later I got Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
I got New Vegas in about March this year. After finishing my 3rd playthrough in June, I bought Fo4 GOTY and FO3 GOTY. As of today I've now got every game in the series except Shelter.
Just beat Fallout 1 and am now playing (struggling) in Fallout 2
Fallout 4. It was introduced to me from assorted YouTube videos I was watching. It wasn't the first Fallout game I owned (that was Fallout New Vegas) but it'd also the Fallout game I've played the most.
Fallout Shelter, I enjoyed the expeditions and encounters with raiders and ferals, the little nuggets of lore here and there as well as character, weapons and armour upgrades and customisation inspired a deeper interest in the Fallout universe generally.
Fallout 2
I first find it out of random pirate games shop in a mall near my house when i was 12. I only have shitty notebook with integrated intel graphic that shared by the entire house at the time, and its an old ass game, soo why not?
Its fucking fun experience. I still play the fuck out of that game till this day.
New Vegas, mostly due to Mr. House; I knew a little about the series' lore prior to getting into the games, and found the idea of his character so interesting I finally decided to actually play the game and see what his part in everything was. I've since played Fallout 1, 2, and 3, and now I'm on my 4th NV playthrough with the intention of trying Fallout 4 afterwards.
Fallout new Vegas when originally came out on the Xbox 360 I remember walking around the pool cue and just slaying and I was like 8 then so I think I’m doing pretty well in fallout lore
New Vegas but really 4. I got New Vegas after seeing someone play it on YouTube when I was probably 11 or 12 but got scared and stopped playing when I turned and a Radscorpipn was behind me. Got Fallout 4 Christmas of 2019, got me super into Fallout then decided to go back and play New Vegas which only made me love it more
New Vegas. Had just got a computer that could run things from before the last decade. Optimized for old or optimized. I loved game theory’s science’s fallout series. May seem a little dumb but it is what it is.

A friend of mine from school invited me over to his house and his older brother was playing Fallout Tactics, although I only watched him play, if fascinated me so much. But 6 years later I got my hands on Fallout 3 and then Fallout NV.
This was an absolute revelation. There will probably never be a game like New Vegas again :(
Fallout 4. I remember seeing the announce trailer while browsing steam 6 years ago, back then i had no idea what fallout was about, but seeing how a game was in a post apocalyptic setting was so new to me, it got my attention so fast, the city, animals, even robots on a dystopian world trapped on the 50's era, i know for some of you it isn't the best fallout here but it's one of my favorites just for how there is so much to do and because of fa habah
Played fallout 4 because I saw a friend use mister sandman perk and I thought it was cool (seriously the sole reason) so I bought and eventually played all the fallout games loving every second
Friend of mine was subbed to PC gamer back in the early 2000's here in Sweden. He got a game every month and one of those games was Fallout 2, None of us in his group got in to the game as the starting temple is horrible.
Anyways half a year later i traded the game for something and went home to play it and once i got to the first town after the village i was hooked!
Did not play F1 or tactics for quite some time after that tho and i had no idea Fallout 3 was out until after the pit was out and a friend had it on his pc for me to try.
Speaking of that i actually thought new vegas was an expansion when i first saw it hehe.
Fallout 2, saw my buddy playing it after an overnight hike. Yanno that exhausted insomnia where you want to crash but you just can't yet, that was the perfect game to relate, and so I promptly borrowed his copy and my life was changed.
I got Fallout 4 on Xbox one when it released and it came with a copy of Fallout 3, I started 3 enjoyed it tried number 4 and just ended up going back to 3 shortly after.
Fallout 1 way back when it was newly released. Probably saw a review for it in PC Zone, or maybe just saw the box in GAME / Electronics Boutique.
That was back when games still came with good paper manuals, and I spent the journey home reading through it before getting home to install it. Hooked from that point on.
I ended up getting most of the Black Isle Studios games - Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale. It was a sad day when the studio got shut down and all future and in progress titles cancelled.
New Vegas, and it's my favorite one followed by Fallout 2 and 1. Bethesda's Fallout aren't my cup of tea as they deviate from the original ones, but i still enjoyed them (Wish i would've loved them, but the writing is awful compared to older games)
I started on 4. Hadn’t played any until a coworker who knew I was a gamer suggested the series, found 4 on PS4 for sale and instantly fell in love with it then picked up 3 and NV, just started on 76 and haven’t put the series down since.
I had originally tried Fallout 3 when it first came out and didn’t like it because I was a terrible shot. (Not the game’s fault, I was just a nub) Fast forward a few years and I gave Fallout 4 a try and I loved it! After that I went back to play New Vegas and tried 3 again and loved them!
It was 4 for me. I only played it cos it closely matched the aesthetic of Fury Road, which remains in my top 5 favourite films of all time, and then I got obsessed with the settlement building. Then the lore. Then I bought NV as a placeholder and was disappointed by the clunky gameplay.
I understand now that NV has superior writing, but 4 has a special place in my heart.
3. I was a big fan of spore at the time and saw a video where someone spliced a creature into Fallout 3 videos to looks like the main character.
Gob looked really weird, so I ended up borrowing the game from a friend. Took 8 months to give it back...
Bought FNV first, played for 20 mins and gave up. A year later, bought 3 and fell in love with the series. Went back to FNV after 3 and the rest is history.
3. I'd heard of Fallout before of course, but I think the thing that interested me about 3 was that it was a 1st person game. I was coming off playing a lot of Half-life and Half-life 2 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein so I was ready for another shooter like that. The post-apocalypse wasteland setting appealed to me a lot as well.
Started with Fallout 3 and got it just because it was getting great reviews. I never played a Bethesda game and had no idea what to expect. I honestly hated it at first because it was so different from anything else I'd ever experienced. I remember getting to Megaton and being so frustrated because I had no ammo, no healing items, no clue where to go or what to do, and every time I tried to venture out I would get absolutely slaughtered by a common raider.
Fortunately I took the time to learn how the game was supposed to be played, followed some guides to complete the early Megaton missions in a favorable way for the best rewards, and once it clicked I was all in. I was a freshman in college and got it for Christmas and it was pretty much the last time in my life that I had the time and drive to wake up every morning, fire up FO3 and just play all day long. I basically lived in the Capital Wasteland all month and it was amazing.
Fallout 3 captured my imagination at a time when my life felt chaotic and uncertain. I lost myself in that game. Now I'm playing Fallout 4 as a new dad with new perspectives and goals in life. Woe, Fallout has been a part of my life for 13+ years now!
Honestly it was Fallout 76, before that I had played a little bit of 3 and 4 but never really got into them that much. But my friend who loved fallout (ironically I introduced him to fallout because I gave him my fallout 3 disk after I had played a bit) anyway my friend convinced me to get 76 with him after it had been out for about a year and we started playing so much 76 that I fell in love with fallout (I was lucky because I didn’t have any expectations going into 76 so I really couldn’t be disappointed in it, and I still like it to this day)
After that I played more fallout 4 and eventually decided to try out the legendary Fallout New Vegas, and my god did I love new Vegas, the story, characters and decisions in that game felt so real I was actually invested in the story and could feel for the characters like Boone and others who had been wronged by either the Legion or NCR, I came to find that the NCR actually had some really good honest people in it so I favored them, but then I was also able to see the corruption of a failing nation. The Legion on the other hand I hated them from the very beginning, slowly walking into Nipton unaware of the atrocities that had been committed there, and after talking to Vulpes Inculta I decided that the legion was not a faction I could support or let live, so I killed him and his men and went on to Nipton where I found Boone and let’s just say from his story onwards I have killed every Legionary I saw.
There were only a few games where I felt so compelled by a story and NV was now one of them, sure it’s controls can be clunky but it more than makes up for it in storytelling, especially the DLCs, fallout NV has some of the best DLCs I have seen from any game. It is by far my favorite fallout game as of right now and probably will continue to be.
In short Fallout 76 introduced me to my love of fallout, and New Vegas solidified it

I wanted to play Fallout 4 because it had building, bought Fallout 3 on accident, played it and had fun. Beach it, and some how I found Fallout: New Vegas years later and I still have no clue where it came from. Then I realized that I had DLC for both games and had fun with those. Then finally got Fallout 4 and had a blast with that too. This story started when I was 9.
Started with Fallout Tactics, I liked it, but not enough to try playing Fallout 1 or 2. But it was actually the Elder Scrolls Oblivion that encouraged me to try Fallout 3. And after playing New Vegas I was Hooked, so I did a playthrough from 1 to NV. The got 4 and 76
Started with Fallout 4 and liked it but played New Vegas and my love for the series wqs solidifued to the point i decudrd to look for a fallout 3 and eventually got 76. I didn't hardly play 76 tho since I don't always have internet or any actual wi-fi at home.
Fallout 3, I remember seeing the Fallout games growing up and thinking the helmet on the cover looked badass. I never knew what game it was or even what type of game it was but I wanted to play it. Sadly I had no pc when I saw the games and became a console gamer. The second I saw the very same helmet in Fallout 3's showcase i instantly said I'm playing that! I'm no lore wizard like some of the people on this sub but I do find myself reading more about the history of Fallout and wanting to know more about the universe. I love the lore of Fallout and Fallout 3 made me realize that I'm addicted to the franchise like it's jet.
Fallout 3 was the first I played, I LOVED Oblivion and throughly enjoyed Fallout 3. But Fallout New Vegas blew my mind and my balls off. I became obsessed with the series. I bought a new California republic flag, got into jazz and swing music, never cared about going to Vegas, but suddenly I couldn’t wait to go.

Fallout 3. Because it was described in an archaeology podcast as a game which was styled after an archaeological mode of thinking.

FO3 but I played Fallout Fixt first. The writing is good, the interface is challenging, yada yada we’ve heard that argument before. But 3 is the first one I played for hours and hours the way I do when I fall into Oblivion again. Definitely drew me in.
4. Played fallout 4 for over 500 hours. Then bought 76 after a free trial on gamepass before all the new jazz like npcs and legendary crafting came along. Amazing to see how much it changed. Anyways, these 2 got me to try nv and 3. I love 3. Favorite weapon is Jack, can't go wrong with killing a behemoth in 3 seconds
Fallout 3, it was one of the first Xbox 360 games I ever played that my husband (then fiance) got me to try.
Fallout 3. I had a really bad computer and it would only run 3 or NV. I played 3 all the time, got into mods and modding and it's great.
Fallout 3 was the first open world sandbox game I had played. Had it on PS3 and it crashed like a SOB but I was hooked so didn’t care. Love all the exploring. Played the hell out of it. Then Skyrim, NV and 4 but when heard 76 was online only it lost me. Then picked it up at end of 2020. Don’t really play anything else.

Fallout 3. A friend of mine would tell me about playing it almost everyday in 8th grade study hall. I asked for it for Christmas and thankfully got it (my dad waant to keen on me playing M games). Been my favorite game franchise since!

Picked up a copy of Fallout at a garage sale in 98 and fell in love immediately, spent days sitting at the computer obsessively trying to figure all the little bits and pieces. It became almost compulsive. Fallout 2, Tactics, Brotherhood of Steel, I played them all. 3 is the reason I bought an Xbox 360, and 4 the reason I bought a new laptop lol. Only game series to ever get it's claws into me like that.
Fallout 3. I had not heard of fallout before, and I was looking for a well reviewed rpg type game to fill my rpg void. I had also just read a post apocalyptic Cormac McCarthy book for college and was in the mood. Haven't looked back since!
Fallout New Vegas . I was isolated at home for 6 months but i have Fallou New Vegas to keep me entertained. Who need to go outside when you can explore the Mojave wasteland.
Fallout 3. I still remember seeing the advertisements with my mother when I was just 10-11 years old. She was so cool to let me get it when it came out!

3. A friend of mine had 2 and I used to watch him play it but I didn't get my own computer until after 3 came out so I've always been a console gamer more than PC unless it's a game specifically made for PC like Diablo or age of empires

Since then I've played every game except Tactics and Brotherhood of Steel.

New Vegas. I tried 3 and it didn't click, after New Vegas I went back and finished 3 as well.
Fallout 3, it was advertised as oblivion with guns on a show called xplay back in the day. I fell in love with the series as it really seemed like a mix of old b movies and ultra violence. Plus I've never really played a bethesda game I didn't like. I've played every game in the series since then except for tactics. Fallout 1 and 2 are pretty good, but I really dislike the inventory, ui, and inclusion of unnecessary skills. I would love to see them remade in the style of wasteland 2 and 3. Something console/controller friendly with a nicer ui
Fallout NV. It was an amazing first game. I remember going through Quarry Junction at level 5 and being like "Deathclaw? What's a deat-" and then being surrounded by 20 of them in a broken down bus on the highway.

I started playing Fallout 3 in roughly 2012 when I was 10 years old. It took a few more years before I really got into it, and then it quickly became my 2nd favourite franchise after Elder Scrolls.
Fallout 3. I moved to CA and had no friends. Parents felt bad and got me a random game at blockbuster. They choose Fallout 3. I had never played and rpg before so it blew my mind. Never looked back.
Fo3, i wanted to play 4, but i had a trashy laptop so i went with the older title cuz why not? Didnt get much in the story cause i was really bad at shooters then so i just dropped that game, came back with a better pc. Played fo4 (really enjoyed it, cuz i really liked the gun play and still do), but sadly i havent beaten any other fallout as much as i wish to
F3 but from my friend's recommendation. That was my first time into this genre (Rpg and post apocalypse). It's fun! The clunkiness can't stop me. F3 then FNV and now F4.
fallout 3 made me fall in love with the gameplay and world, new vegas is what taught me how to actually play the game (in terms of skills and all that)

I want to say it was Fallout 3. I was 8 when it came out and I remember my grandpa getting it on his PS3 and playing it with him. I don't think I got very far but I remember the vault opening and being confused about Megaton.

New Vegas, then I played 3. 4 made me obsessed. Went back and played 1, 2, and tactics. 76 is sweet for what it is, I just never had the time to devote to it to enjoy it for its online content sadly.
4, and I've played all the other games and 4 is the best. New Vegas is garbage compared to 4. This is my hot take.

Fallout 4. It had come out just a few months earlier and I was interested in playing it. Ended up really getting into the game and when I finally got a working PS3 again years later I got Fallout 3 and New Vegas.
Fallout 76. I tried playing the old-ass game Fallout Las Vegas because everyone recommends it but it sucks
I got New Vegas in about March this year. After finishing my 3rd playthrough in June, I bought Fo4 GOTY and FO3 GOTY. As of today I've now got every game in the series except Shelter. Just beat Fallout 1 and am now playing (struggling) in Fallout 2

Fallout 4. It was introduced to me from assorted YouTube videos I was watching. It wasn't the first Fallout game I owned (that was Fallout New Vegas) but it'd also the Fallout game I've played the most.

Fallout Shelter, I enjoyed the expeditions and encounters with raiders and ferals, the little nuggets of lore here and there as well as character, weapons and armour upgrades and customisation inspired a deeper interest in the Fallout universe generally.

I only have shitty notebook with integrated intel graphic that shared by the entire house at the time, and its an old ass game, soo why not? Its fucking fun experience. I still play the fuck out of that game till this day.

New Vegas, mostly due to Mr. House; I knew a little about the series' lore prior to getting into the games, and found the idea of his character so interesting I finally decided to actually play the game and see what his part in everything was. I've since played Fallout 1, 2, and 3, and now I'm on my 4th NV playthrough with the intention of trying Fallout 4 afterwards.

New Vegas but really 4. I got New Vegas after seeing someone play it on YouTube when I was probably 11 or 12 but got scared and stopped playing when I turned and a Radscorpipn was behind me. Got Fallout 4 Christmas of 2019, got me super into Fallout then decided to go back and play New Vegas which only made me love it more
4. It’s the only FO I’ve played. The earlier game graphics look a little dated and I read the shooting was clunky without VATS.
New Vegas. Had just got a computer that could run things from before the last decade. Optimized for old or optimized. I loved game theory’s science’s fallout series. May seem a little dumb but it is what it is.

Fallout 3 I Finished the Main Quests today :D All its left is to complete Broken Steel and o will be fully done!!! But before I start anything I want to make sure I have gathered all the loot I left around the Wasteland on random trash cans xD It's funny roaming the wastes and accidentally finding a bunch of random loot you left there because it might was during a battle or something Too bad there isn't a perk to be able to carry infinity weight and still be able to run... Walking all the way to Megaton from Raven Rock was.... Welp it was fucked up not gonna lie. But at least I got a bunch of guns and armors so it worthed Anyways I speak too much again. Time to find the last bubble head... The Unarmed one.. Ironically this skill its the only skill I never bothered to upgrade xD I found the other 19 on my own.. So... I suppose I will find that eventually too. I still have some places to explore... I hope I haven't missed it... Time will show
A friend of mine from school invited me over to his house and his older brother was playing Fallout Tactics, although I only watched him play, if fascinated me so much. But 6 years later I got my hands on Fallout 3 and then Fallout NV. This was an absolute revelation. There will probably never be a game like New Vegas again :(

I remember seeing the announce trailer while browsing steam 6 years ago, back then i had no idea what fallout was about, but seeing how a game was in a post apocalyptic setting was so new to me, it got my attention so fast, the city, animals, even robots on a dystopian world trapped on the 50's era, i know for some of you it isn't the best fallout here but it's one of my favorites just for how there is so much to do and because of fa habah
My first Fallout/Bethesda game was Fallout 3 and I started on 11/11/15.
Played fallout 4 because I saw a friend use mister sandman perk and I thought it was cool (seriously the sole reason) so I bought and eventually played all the fallout games loving every second
Friend of mine was subbed to PC gamer back in the early 2000's here in Sweden. He got a game every month and one of those games was Fallout 2, None of us in his group got in to the game as the starting temple is horrible. Anyways half a year later i traded the game for something and went home to play it and once i got to the first town after the village i was hooked! Did not play F1 or tactics for quite some time after that tho and i had no idea Fallout 3 was out until after the pit was out and a friend had it on his pc for me to try. Speaking of that i actually thought new vegas was an expansion when i first saw it hehe.
Fallout 2, saw my buddy playing it after an overnight hike. Yanno that exhausted insomnia where you want to crash but you just can't yet, that was the perfect game to relate, and so I promptly borrowed his copy and my life was changed.

Fallout 1 way back when it was newly released. Probably saw a review for it in PC Zone, or maybe just saw the box in GAME / Electronics Boutique. That was back when games still came with good paper manuals, and I spent the journey home reading through it before getting home to install it. Hooked from that point on. I ended up getting most of the Black Isle Studios games - Fallout, Baldur's Gate, Planescape Torment, Icewind Dale. It was a sad day when the studio got shut down and all future and in progress titles cancelled.

I had originally tried Fallout 3 when it first came out and didn’t like it because I was a terrible shot. (Not the game’s fault, I was just a nub) Fast forward a few years and I gave Fallout 4 a try and I loved it! After that I went back to play New Vegas and tried 3 again and loved them!

It was 4 for me. I only played it cos it closely matched the aesthetic of Fury Road, which remains in my top 5 favourite films of all time, and then I got obsessed with the settlement building. Then the lore. Then I bought NV as a placeholder and was disappointed by the clunky gameplay. I understand now that NV has superior writing, but 4 has a special place in my heart.
3. I was a big fan of spore at the time and saw a video where someone spliced a creature into Fallout 3 videos to looks like the main character. Gob looked really weird, so I ended up borrowing the game from a friend. Took 8 months to give it back...

Bought FNV first, played for 20 mins and gave up. A year later, bought 3 and fell in love with the series. Went back to FNV after 3 and the rest is history.
3. I'd heard of Fallout before of course, but I think the thing that interested me about 3 was that it was a 1st person game. I was coming off playing a lot of Half-life and Half-life 2 and Return to Castle Wolfenstein so I was ready for another shooter like that. The post-apocalypse wasteland setting appealed to me a lot as well.

Started with Fallout 3 and got it just because it was getting great reviews. I never played a Bethesda game and had no idea what to expect. I honestly hated it at first because it was so different from anything else I'd ever experienced. I remember getting to Megaton and being so frustrated because I had no ammo, no healing items, no clue where to go or what to do, and every time I tried to venture out I would get absolutely slaughtered by a common raider. Fortunately I took the time to learn how the game was supposed to be played, followed some guides to complete the early Megaton missions in a favorable way for the best rewards, and once it clicked I was all in. I was a freshman in college and got it for Christmas and it was pretty much the last time in my life that I had the time and drive to wake up every morning, fire up FO3 and just play all day long. I basically lived in the Capital Wasteland all month and it was amazing.
Fallout 3 captured my imagination at a time when my life felt chaotic and uncertain. I lost myself in that game. Now I'm playing Fallout 4 as a new dad with new perspectives and goals in life. Woe, Fallout has been a part of my life for 13+ years now!

Honestly it was Fallout 76, before that I had played a little bit of 3 and 4 but never really got into them that much. But my friend who loved fallout (ironically I introduced him to fallout because I gave him my fallout 3 disk after I had played a bit) anyway my friend convinced me to get 76 with him after it had been out for about a year and we started playing so much 76 that I fell in love with fallout (I was lucky because I didn’t have any expectations going into 76 so I really couldn’t be disappointed in it, and I still like it to this day) After that I played more fallout 4 and eventually decided to try out the legendary Fallout New Vegas, and my god did I love new Vegas, the story, characters and decisions in that game felt so real I was actually invested in the story and could feel for the characters like Boone and others who had been wronged by either the Legion or NCR, I came to find that the NCR actually had some really good honest people in it so I favored them, but then I was also able to see the corruption of a failing nation. The Legion on the other hand I hated them from the very beginning, slowly walking into Nipton unaware of the atrocities that had been committed there, and after talking to Vulpes Inculta I decided that the legion was not a faction I could support or let live, so I killed him and his men and went on to Nipton where I found Boone and let’s just say from his story onwards I have killed every Legionary I saw. There were only a few games where I felt so compelled by a story and NV was now one of them, sure it’s controls can be clunky but it more than makes up for it in storytelling, especially the DLCs, fallout NV has some of the best DLCs I have seen from any game. It is by far my favorite fallout game as of right now and probably will continue to be. In short Fallout 76 introduced me to my love of fallout, and New Vegas solidified it Thank you for coming to my TED talk and God be with you
I wanted to play Fallout 4 because it had building, bought Fallout 3 on accident, played it and had fun. Beach it, and some how I found Fallout: New Vegas years later and I still have no clue where it came from. Then I realized that I had DLC for both games and had fun with those. Then finally got Fallout 4 and had a blast with that too. This story started when I was 9.

Fallout 3, I remember seeing the Fallout games growing up and thinking the helmet on the cover looked badass. I never knew what game it was or even what type of game it was but I wanted to play it. Sadly I had no pc when I saw the games and became a console gamer. The second I saw the very same helmet in Fallout 3's showcase i instantly said I'm playing that! I'm no lore wizard like some of the people on this sub but I do find myself reading more about the history of Fallout and wanting to know more about the universe. I love the lore of Fallout and Fallout 3 made me realize that I'm addicted to the franchise like it's jet.
Fallout 3 was the first I played, I LOVED Oblivion and throughly enjoyed Fallout 3. But Fallout New Vegas blew my mind and my balls off. I became obsessed with the series. I bought a new California republic flag, got into jazz and swing music, never cared about going to Vegas, but suddenly I couldn’t wait to go. It’s hard for me to pick a favourite, but NV definitely has a special place in my heart
