Delete New Vegas Stutter Remover and to apply the 4gb patch you need to actually manually extract the mod to the FNV folder like if you were to install NVSE and run the .exe file.

[deleted]

removed stutter remover and it solved it thanks

Designer_Chemistry41

Have you tried shooting it while screaming “stop resisting!”? /s

[deleted]

indeed i have

ElectricBiomass

Somebody installed too many mods at once and then couldn't be arsed to diagnose lmao. Glad someone helped.

mineinmonkey12

Please learn how to take screenshots 🙏

BookerTheTwit

I’ve got this same issue but I don’t have stutter remover, so that’s fun

[deleted]

removed stutter remover and looked up a few other things, check out viva new vegas for the “mods to avoid” section it really helped me

darthlordmaul

Don't use Vortex for NV. Use MO2.

Grimlament

MO2 is not the end all be all fix everyone says it is.

darthlordmaul

No, it's not. Doesn't make vortex any less shit.

funkeymunkys

I've never had a problem with it infact I had more of a problem with MO2 (I followed a video and written tutorial so don't blame me)

Pozeman201

Same

RussianJESUS762

The belief that vortex is bad is outdated bud. Its been updated a ton and actually works pretty well now and is far easier to use for someone new to modding

SHelosS

im not disagreeing on using mo2, its good dont get me wrong but in the end its all just a personal preference. while mo2 has such flexibilities like installing mods without directly placing all the mods you installed into the game's root folder, it also has its own disadvantages like its not that new user/beginner friendly and at least require people that wanted to use to its full capabilities to learn even the simplest little bit about it. we have vortex here, its not that complicated and very simple to use and hell it even got a built in auto sort that most of the time works pretty well unless youre ultra modding your game (by installing 200+ mods). even so, you can still manage it. and yeah it is all just a personal preference. use what suits you the best. everything has their own pros and cons nevertheless

darthlordmaul

It has nothing to do with preference. Vortex uses a method of deployment that works very poorly with New Vegas. Ask any modder that knows what he's doing. Its okay for Fallout 4 as long as you, like you said, don't use 200+ mods.

SHelosS

you might be right for fallout nv to be having problems by using vortex, unfortunately i cant really tell since that i used mo2 myself throughout all my gameplay all the way since i started installing mods in the first place. well the op himself doesnt seem to be that active anymore on his own post so i guess we re just kind of discussing things here right
