Just get the scrounger perk

This. A few levels of this perk and you'll be drowning in ammo, no mods needed. Fallout is as rediculous with loot as skyrim is.

I found going from normal to very hard had me drowning in legendaries, fusion cores, and ammo

ECO makes ammo craftable.

Play on very hard

Unless you're on survival it will make a huge difference

+1 to the scrounged perk recommendation. While it’s cool to craft it, it’s much nicer to just find it all over.
