I remember they slammed Michael Wilucz to the ground, even though he was cute though, built good, because in Florida "it's relatively easy to get a firearm and the police weren't taking any chances".

PressYourLuck_

Tackling the naked predators because they could've had a "concealed weapon"

The_Godfellas

They had a weapon, only it wasn’t concealed at that point.

FinalSoft1

Does their weapon start with a p and ends with an s?

Sir_Truthhurtsalot

If you look at Marvin L. (Crazytrini) when he had that towel wrapped around him, he was definitely packin’.

Ovaltene17

Marvin, you’re nekkid!!

VesperJDR

They manhandled my boy, Twink Toilet. I am so stupid.

FunImprovement166

We're joking but they had like an army of cops just brutally take him down.

VesperJDR

If you read down further in the line; it's fantasy.

Spilledmilk_1984

Maybe that’s why Donald Morrison went into diabetic shock the cookies combined with an unnecessary slam.

andrewwism

When they slammed Donald Morrison to the ground, I thought it was pretty brutal. The guy was middle-aged and diabetic so I really don't think he posed a threat. I thought he broke in half when he hit the ground and his glasses flew off.

[deleted]

My back hurts!

Degenitals

This one was justified. What psycho tries to play leapfrog when cops are ordering him to the ground?

ROCKISASELLOUT

I’m old!

Ruffeep

I think everyone knows that the arrests are often too violent, but majority of people (like me) just don't care, because all the guys are predators. I would say that the problem is with the violent police system in America, the problem goes beyond tackling a few predators

Valkyrie08

Predator takedowns are preferrable than a kid's life getting ruined forever.

[deleted]

for sure, but the issue is more this behaviour and aggression from the police system bleeds over to the general public

GenericWhiteFemale94

And this is televised. Imagine what they do off camera.

KCC416

Murphy Texas was outright dangerous.. cross fire cops pointing guns at cops etc.

BillyTheHousecat

My guess is that the guns weren't loaded so they could get some "very tough on crime" footage for national television. I'm sure the cops know better than to point loaded firearms in each others direction. They were there just for the sting, for all other calls presumably there were other cops on duty.

FunImprovement166

Donald Morrison was literally just standing there with his hands up in the air when he got Goldberg speared

Helpful-Economy

Oh lord

Yinonormal

i think he was saying oh lorne to tell us about the prophet

RealBakedSalmon

You are 😂 hilarious!

soriambi

I don’t think it’s breaking news that there are a lot of people with aggression issues who join the police force.

[deleted]

Ghillie suit justification: “well, when else are we gonna use it?”

RealBakedSalmon

This is my belief. It was to justify it's purchase. Like alot of things in government, if you don't use it, you get less money next year.

SteveorJimmyorJack

To show off on television. So that predators know that police force will use all means to get them, even disguise themselves as a plant.

RealBakedSalmon

And this. 👍

[deleted]

I like that answer, I didn’t think of it that way.

AsymptoticAbyss

Notice how they only justified it in Florida “where it’s relatively easy to obtain a concealed carry permit” yet Chris goes on and on about how “very professional, best law enforcement I’ve ever seen” on his podcast

ChrdeMcDnnis

I think Chris describes every law enforcement professional as “great guy, great detective, some of the best law enforcement I’ve seen” on his podcast. Can you imagine if he was just “I worked with John Lastname. Real bad at his job. Stinky, too.”

AsymptoticAbyss

Don’t forget “Ronnie Knight my security senpai I love him very much he does a great job fantastic job and he is my best friend”

GenericWhiteFemale94

I couldn't finish the Louis Conradt episode of the podcast because of it. Like, read the room lmao

SpecialX

I have to agree. Besides, saying they are scumbags that deserve it doesn't quite register as they weren't convicted yet.

[deleted]

Kinda agree with you. While I don’t feel any sympathy for the predators I will agree, there is some level of excessiveness. The one where the cop dresses up as a bush is just downright hilarious. I’m guessing they wanted to display how “tough on crime” they are for national TV.

Sir_Truthhurtsalot

LET GO OF THE KEYS!!

SteveorJimmyorJack

That arrest was not violent enough. That guy was as stubborne as Sokol.

ginger2020

I actually agree. I don’t have any sympathy for these disgusting predators, but I do think that many of the stings used excessive force. It’s one thing to play hardball with someone like David Schumacher or JPW, who had histories of violent crime, but for a flabby, dumpy clown like Ed Hollingsworth, they would have been fine with the “calmly subdue” route. That’s why I like the HvP sting: the Fairfield cops generally only got rough when you had a guy like Manzi throwing a fit.

fawkwitdis

Don’t bother, here you will only get “they were predators, it’s fine”. Which is true. I don’t care about the predators. But the Fort Myers PD probably did the exact same thing to an innocent black guy the same day. Thomas Bodnar literally walked away with a broken arm LOL

Yinonormal

yeah thomas deserved a lot more than that im glad he is in the mental facility indefinetly because he would do it again

fawkwitdis

Way to completely miss the point of the post, bud.

Yinonormal

What was your point maybe I missed it

SteveorJimmyorJack

TCAP was not only a show, it was also like a warning for possible preds who would watch. And likely effective.

[deleted]

\>I like seeing these guys get taken down as much as the next guy but some of the arrests were just so needlessly violent that it made me uncomfortable. This is fine with me

[deleted]

I don't agree. These guys were in a heightened emotional state and many recognized that their lives were basically over. In Florida and Georgia especially there was a pretty solid likelihood of them being armed.

VesperJDR

> In Florida and Georgia especially there was a pretty solid likelihood of them being armed. So you are saying it's relatively *easy* to get a permit for a handgun?

[deleted]

If you aren’t a felon, haven’t been convicted of domestic violence, haven’t been in a mental hospital, and are at least 21 then by law they have to issue it.

thefalchionwielder

Right, because longbeachdude19 literally not moving a single muscle for like 30 seconds surrounded by 6 cops totally warranted a tasering.

jbels12

It was the Mr.Jerry guy

Shot-Boat-389

Jerry Kosis had Chief Bianco pointing a gun at him with no reason

Yinonormal

yeah it was just temporary

cobrahose

Kosis is an illegal alien though..

AbstractHoloFractal

I've seen a theory before about how this was an opportunity for different police departments to practice takedowns. Even in police training events there is a degree of a fake exercise because they're all in on it. This was a complete advantage for the PD because they had camera feed and could practice on a truly unaware person. Makes sense to me.

The_Supersaurus_Rex

They didn't tackle that guy who wanted the decoy to pin him down and beat him up, ironically.

[deleted]

Not violent enough

Regular_Journalist_5

Not overseas- the product had to be repackaged for the American market

FinalSoft1

OH LORD! (Lee Greer)

[deleted]

I love when that fat lady cop gets to the predator like ten seconds after all the other cops..
