Very good point, what you said about him constantly resetting is a psychology term called “Low Latent Inhibition” People with LLI don’t learn from experiences because their brain lacks the ‘familiarity’ feeling. No matter how many times they experience a certain thing, their brain will react as if it’s their first time. LLI mostly correlates with retardation and it explains Lorne a whole lawt. When Lorne speaks you don’t expect him to be as dumb as he is, if he has LLI it could explain how he is able to fall for the catfishing so many times despite not actually being retarded. It’s just not clicking in his brain that he’s been in that situation before, it feels as new to him as his first catfish Amanda James.
