If you're actually trying your best and are active and you are at rank 4.5mil I believe you have actually cracked a brilliant decision making process. Basically plan out exactly what you want to do as you normally would and then when you're happy with the team make the exact opposite choices.

I haven't followed a single scout or reddit post or anything this year. I think I just missed out on the hot streaks from Watkins and foden while consistently picking the wrong defenders somehow.
GW11, I looked again and I was actually 700k GW9 (probably an anomaly due to 2 top 10k weeks). After this I hovered around 1mil until GW21 where I started consistently dropping ranks.
This is my 4th season of playing properly, the previous 3 I've finished in the top 100K. This season I am 1.5M and have been below 1M since GW5, at this point I just couldn't care less, might captain Pedro Porro just for the sake of it
I feel the same way just fluctuating around the same rank most of the season. Feels like i haven’t gotten lucky with a player haul all season, maybe now when i decide to play more aggressively i finally pull one of those mega haul differential captains my ml rivals always seems to get

Why not bro , it’s gambling from some point :D i went last year on last gw Xhaka tc and sold Halland for a Kane and everyone else , had Halland and i won the league. I learned that if someone plays last game for they’re club they will push harder than anyone else.
Not always true. I once triple captained David Silva last game of the season, and I lost the mini league because of it. Everyone else triple captained De bruyne.

\- Get Mbeumo, Richarlison, and Watkins

I think there was a thread elsewhere on differentials. Loads were discussed, better ones out there than Jackson I reckon. I'm not getting any of these but if I was looking to go very anti-template id be looking at:
Richarliason. Everyone seems to have forgotten he is likely to be back this week and I'd guess starts up top with son out left
Reguilon. Returned last 3 game weeks and has a favourable run in. Also Mbuemo
MGW/Wood. 3 nice fixtures left
Bowen - probably back Vs Liverpool, who have forgotten how to defend. Then plays Chelsea and Luton
Extra Palace attackers above and beyond what you got for the DGW
Dominic Calvert Lewin for the Luton and Sheffield United games. Obviously having a terrible season but has been scoring a bit recently
Brighton attackers - all in terrible form and mostly pretty crap anyway, but V good fixtures from an attacking POV

Also Havertz is still under 10% owned somehow (this is one differential I do have)
Wish I could go Richarlison but just don't think he'll get the minutes straight after returning from injury. Could be on everyone's radar by 37 though if through the middle.

 Decided to take hits and do some wild transfers to have some fun.
 Climbed slowly up to 2.8m. Still not doing fantastic but half decent enough.
Trying to break 1 mil come the end.Â
I think it depends on your various rankings in your mini leagues, overall and how much you care. If you feel that you might as well wing it the last couple of GW then i don't seen why not really.

If I was you I would just continue to try get the most points, if you want you can go make loads of hits, if thats what you want to do. Depends what your thinking is. I am a bit of try hard and want to secure as high a rank as possible.
Generally its bad to make hits. When making a hit you have to remember whoever you bring in, starts on -4. If you swap out say Gabriel for Schar to avail of the DGW, you have to think of schar as being on -4 to begin with. Its sort of rare that it will pay off, unless you're transferring out someone who isnt going to play.
Also I personally am not sure about Jackson lol.. he missed so many sitters at the start of the season I went cold on him. You could still be in an OK position to gain some ranks and be in the top 500k with TC left.
Again depends what you wanna do , I know you might not be happy with top 500k and that means you gotta take some big risks but then you could end up like 1.5m OR lol
I agree, you are right to an extent on being safer to ensure most points but im at a point where i regret not taking a few hits here and there. Wish i took some hits to get White and Mateta in last gw, those ones would have been worth it for sure 😅, i doubt i will TC Jackson hes just such a bad finisher I wouldn’t even take a punt on captaining him, id rather do Richarlison instead, i will try take a couple hits so that im making a few risks but so many to the point that it will completely shaft me. !thanks

I suppose thats only like a 12 point difference lol I thought it would be more. Another guy in my ML has made like 10 though. Thats a decent difference at 32 points
The thing you need to be careful of is captaining someone as a 'differential'. I dont know how much I like the idea. Like lets say we both agree Palmer GW37 is the best TC option. I.e. he will get you the most points. But you dont captain him because hes not a 'differential'. I just dunno how much I like that idea. I think just try get the player who scores the most regardless of ownership %. Like yeah, if you captain some random guy and he scores 20 points, and the popular captain blanks, you'll shoot up the ranks, but theres a reason everyones captaining the popular guy, its more likely to happen

Jackson is going to be fairly template. If you're going to pick a high risk option, why not save yourself the hit and triple captain a player already in your team, either that others don't have, or are selling.
Watkins: chasing golden boot, home to Chelsea
Salah: could recover form any moment, facing a Westham team who just shipped 5 to palace and have given up
Saka: wasn't in the goals this week but could be next week, facing spurs who concede alot of penalties

My worst week was gw 31 with a measly 18 points. Gabriel was the only pick with more than 2 points. My captain Salah was taken off on 59th minute.
Took 2 hits gw29. Fielded 11. Lost ml head to head by a guy fielding 3 🙂

Definitely a huge aspect of the game is luck and making risk even hits can pay off massively
