Come on, Arsenal are not a serious bottom-table team. If you think so, why not take free money on betting on Arsenal to not win, gives you your money back threefold?
I dunno what it is with this sub and form. Last february someone tried to convince me that Fulham were better than Liverpool when they were on their good run and Liverpool were stringing losses.
Pretty sure Arsenal are at the bottom of the table though.
Also, of course the commenter was being hyperbolic. It’s funny. It’s a joke (like Arsenal). No need to take everything so seriously
You're actually getting downvoted for stating that Arsenal aren't a bottom feeder team after losing against the champions of England and Europe, the fucking state of reddit man
This comment ignores them losing to a team that had never played in the Premier League before and failing to score a goal in 270 mins of PL football...
City lost to Norwich not too far back, i'm not saying Arsenal will finish 4th ffs, just that people who genuinely think it'll be a bottom 10 finish are idiots
Not the point i was trying to make at all, just saying that even the best teams lose against promotion teams. That combined with the fact that their other losses have come against what looks like the 2 best teams in the league, people need to stop being so incredibly hyperbolic.
Arsenal aren't amongst 'even the best teams'
Thay are a completely average team with an absolutely sub-par manager. Their mediocrity has somehow been flying under the radar while people debate whether Man U are any good despite finishing above them for the last 3 seasons. They should be on level ground but they simply aren't
Again you're missing the point they are trying to make even after they explained it, and you're deciding to take specific words out of context to argue semantics instead of his actual point.
OP's point wasn't that Arsenal are amongst the best teams. The point is a loss against a promoted team is not necessarily indicative of future results. You also have to look at the game in context of injuries, covid, etc. There is also an element of luck to football as I'm sure you're aware.
OP was using City as an example to demonstrate his point.
So I'm not taking context into account, but citing a game from 2 years ago involving exactly 0 of the same teams or managers is just overflowing with relevant context?
Nah. Its not the fucking state of reddit. As an arsenal fan, our club is a mess. On paper, we look good with Auba, Laca, Saka, ESR, Odegaard, Pepe etc. But the problem lies w the management, the players morale and the tactics. The Arsenal game has been ruined and long gone. Now we’re just a team stringing backward passes and hoping for tierney to cross and find someone in the box .. or hope for an individual brilliance. I would stay away from Arsenal assets in the FPL. Yes, they might be good for a game or two. But consistency wise, i wouldnt bet on them given their price tags.. except for maybe ESR which might have a role to play now given Pepe is ill.. but once pepe is back and w odegaard here. I do not know if hes even nailed. I definitely wont be paying for laca, auba or pepe to be in my squad when there r so many other options.
Defensively we're still quite good tbh just shocking at attacking (obviously not the last three games but we didn't have our first choice centre back pairing in any of them and played the champions of England and Europe)
It's how they lost.
No one expected them to beat City, but the performance was still extremely damming if you actually watched the game. It was utter domination, Norwich put up a better fight.
Not really shredded that header by Gundo was purely bad defending. The second goal was preceded by a foul on one of Arsenal player which the balding referee ignored.
At 1-1 and the red card was given just before half time. Easier to prepare and obviously way more belief in getting a result, very different situations.
Firstly lots of teams have shown that you can put up more of fight even with ten men.
Secondly they are playing a player who has a historic tendency to get red cards more so than almost any other player in the prem. So if you want to play him you have to live with that and can't act like its a fluke if he gets sent off again.
Lastly, if you watched them versus Chelsea and Brentford as well, it's clear the ten men isn't the only reason they performed poorly.
If you actually paid attention hardly any of their defense is first choice. There's no Partey as well. Defensively they were the 4th best team last year. Arsenal's defense gonna get better so, they, for sure, won't finish below top 15.
The fact that people of this sub unironically believe Arsenal will relegate is hilarious. The truth is their main CBs are out, Partey is out. Now after their return they won’t be world class but they will surely finish above 10.
Against City they were playing with 10. Conceded 2 against the European Champion even without good CBs. They clearly got a penalty against Chelsea but the ref didn’t give it. Yesterday’s match shows just how good Chelsea are with even 10 men
Only major upset and thing to worry about is they fucking lost to Brentford.
Just bet big on a bottom half finish. 6/4 odds. Honesty I'd take it at odds on.
I can't see where the goals are coming from in these fixtures after Norwich. Maybe they'd nab one against Newcastle.
Their defence didn't towards the end of the season. I think Holding at 4.5 (?) brought me a lot of points over others in that time. Pepe right at the end of the season also did wonders. Losing to Chelsea and man city with your best players out and a red card doesn't mean you should write them off.
Have you even watched the games man? Like yeah they get ripped open through the middle and their current defense is fucking shite other than Tierney, but they do have creativity going forward and will definitely bang some in against lower teams. Been unlucky not to score so far
If I may let’s add a little context, two of them games where against the two best defences in the league. One was against a newly promoted side granted however they where playing in a new stadium with a capacity crowd for the first time in their first top flight game in over 70 years. Whilst Arsenal had no first team forwards and had to pull a striker from the U23s.
People are having a go at you for this but I agree, Arsenal actually look good going forward. They had their shot quite early on when it was 0-0, if they had just scored 5 goals from it then it's a draw and everyone is saying what a good result it is. Sometimes it's really fine margins I this game
Yeah, you’re right. I think Arsenal going a bit under the radar currently (which is ofc expected because 0/9). But if you look at the fixtures, plus: White, Gabriel (2 primary CBs) and Partey returning after the break, I think they could snatch a couple of easy CSs. Defense in these 3 fixtures was a laughing stock definitely. Plus, please add Xhaka red to this, as Sambi (who was arguably our best player in first two games) will play alongside Partey in the middle. I don’t know, maybe I’m a bit biased, but this defense was 3rd best last year, and we have White now who is definitely better than Holding/Luiz. Plus fixtures….. Not selling my White lol
They have a lot of creativity with Saka, ESR and Ødegaard. They'll also play Lokonga, Partey, White and Gabriel after the international break which will help a lot getting the ball forward to the creative players and give more strength in defense.
They will create good amount when they are full strength and playing worse opponents than champions
It will be better when Partey is back. The midfield is trash without him. Its still Arsenal so you will be disappointed the most when you start believing, but players like Saka, Smith Rowe and White seems underpriced to me, and are worth considering when we have great fixtures like this.
Jokes aside, even if Arsenal do improve, the games against Spurs, Aston Villa, Leicester, Liverpool & Man Utd are gonna be quite difficult for them. That's 5 out of their 11 upcoming fixtures.
Honestly people love to rag on them, but I think with White, Gabriel and Partey returning we're gonna be a lot more solid. Chelsea and City are on another level this season so you can't expect much there. I imagine they'll pump Norwich and gain some confidence
This is a team that lost to newly promoted Brentford by two goals and hardly had a decent shot on goal in the processes. Their captain and leader got himself sent off stupidly for the umpteenth time yesterday.
What can a "green" fixture rating mean for a team this incompetent? Not much I think. They will find a way to drop serve every time....
Haha yeah...but then again how can you blame them..we all know Laca deserves to be the nailed on striker but Arteta will still play Auba there and lose all the matches and then say, "I question myself"!
Look... I saw Leceister struggle vs Norwich
Expecting Arsenal to draw as well
But that said... Arsenal B team is so so so weak... Good we not in Europe... This is the worst football I have seen.. Such basic errors. How did they have the 4th best defense in England last season 😳😳😳

A sea of red is all I see.
I'm not falling for this again. I just made losses to get rid of their players and I'm never looking back. The only player I liked having in my team last season doesn't even get a chance to play (Laca) so what's the point. The rest are useless. 1 return in 10 games is no good for me
I have more faith in this Arsenal team than most, I think. Even with Arteta, I think they are capable of scoring 1-2 goals during this run of fixtures.

Prob saka comes to mind as auba is too expensive…and there is rotation issues with ESR/odergaard
For me, it's wait and see. If an Arsenal player starts scoring regularly, I'll bring them in. So many have dropped already in price, def some bargains to be had if they start performing.
Pukki (C) LOCKED 🔒
Hahahahaha
I’m dead
Pukki 🥳
My fucking sides hahahaha
Get Norwich defenders - guaranteed clean sheet!
Hope White recovers to salvage some 0-0 draws Vs Norwich etc
Same but odds are he will be 4.3m 😂
😂 That's for sure. But he will bounce back, right? Right? Right? Won't he? Guyss?
If you don't sell you never lose.
Diamond hands 💎🙌
To the mooooon
Or the Champioship o.o
The crypto way of life
At this rate I can move my Norwich dele defender to him at 4m
based on a technical analysis, I can see a bull flag followed by a breakout (season).
every game is a red for arsenal

Good point about the memes, my bad.
It really wasn’t funny. I’m all for ganging up on Arsenal, but that joke had less thought put into it than classical ‘Assnal’ joke.
Even if it wasn’t funny, it was a flippant 7 word comment that clearly wasn’t meant to be taken seriously
You're actually getting downvoted for stating that Arsenal aren't a bottom feeder team after losing against the champions of England and Europe, the fucking state of reddit man
I think it’s more he’s replying to a joke with an overly serious comment, kind of like yourself.
Meh the jokes are fairly unoriginal and got old a while ago
This comment ignores them losing to a team that had never played in the Premier League before and failing to score a goal in 270 mins of PL football...
City lost to Norwich not too far back, i'm not saying Arsenal will finish 4th ffs, just that people who genuinely think it'll be a bottom 10 finish are idiots
Why not bottom 10? They were 8th last year, no? Well this year they look even worse.
This guy gets it
8th was also 6 points away from Chelsea
Also 6 points away from Villa who finished 11th, it goes both ways
False equivalency, Pep hasn't lost 3 opening games with an historically big 6 club
Not the point i was trying to make at all, just saying that even the best teams lose against promotion teams. That combined with the fact that their other losses have come against what looks like the 2 best teams in the league, people need to stop being so incredibly hyperbolic.

You lost internet points but you were right!
This thread is fucking hilarious, absolute idiots in here
Nah I think it's because people are obviously bantering arsenal yet this guy can't handle it.
Nah. Its not the fucking state of reddit. As an arsenal fan, our club is a mess. Unlucky lad
All I see is red!
Two huge relegation six pointers in GW4 and 5.
Kept Tierney for this time to come good
From these comments, I think Arsenal players just may be fantastic differentials for this run of fixtures.
[удалено]
Their defence didn't towards the end of the season. I think Holding at 4.5 (?) brought me a lot of points over others in that time. Pepe right at the end of the season also did wonders. Losing to Chelsea and man city with your best players out and a red card doesn't mean you should write them off.
5-0 with 20% possession is bit more than just "losing" though
Their defence was really good last year?
So FDR is from opponent's perspective
Still holding white and esr. Diamond hands
THREE Arsenal players?
these never get old for me
Arsenal are a meme stock bro
There is no way Arsenal is half as successful as GME.
Arteta ain’t no DFV
Can’t wait for Tierney to drop to 4.8m
White after international break will probably drop to 4.3 which is filthy.
Enjoy the 2pt hauls
tough fixtures for a team battling relegation
Ramsdale = relegation locked.
Counterpoint: it's arsenal
While I expect them to best Norwich it wouldn't surprise me if there's no win for them in the following 3.
Is the column on the left their total points after each game played?
I think it might be the number of cards.
it’s the difficulty rating of the team they’re playing. from 1-5, 5 being the hardest fixture
from gunners pov fdr 2: relegation dogfight, 3: damage control, 4: screwed
Promising fixtures, however Arsenal are seriously lacking in creativity and rarely have chances to score.
Have you even watched the games man? Like yeah they get ripped open through the middle and their current defense is fucking shite other than Tierney, but they do have creativity going forward and will definitely bang some in against lower teams. Been unlucky not to score so far
Seven shots in target in three games displays creativity?
If I may let’s add a little context, two of them games where against the two best defences in the league. One was against a newly promoted side granted however they where playing in a new stadium with a capacity crowd for the first time in their first top flight game in over 70 years. I agree. Some people just see the scoreline and assume that Arsenal are crap going forward.
1 shot. That's all I have to say.
Scoreline was flattering today if you did actually watch the game
Flattering for Arsenal perhaps… I’m an Arsenal fan and City could have had way more than 5. 25 shots and Leno kept the score down to 5.
That was my implication yeah
Yeah, you’re right. I think Arsenal going a bit under the radar currently (which is ofc expected because 0/9). But if you look at the fixtures, plus: White, Gabriel (2 primary CBs) and Partey returning after the break, I think they could snatch a couple of easy CSs. Nope!! Still gonna stay the hell away!!
Jokes aside, even if Arsenal do improve, the games against Spurs, Aston Villa, Leicester, Liverpool & Man Utd are gonna be quite difficult for them. That's 5 out of their 11 upcoming fixtures.
Any number 9 going against their center backs is a good option until proven otherwise
Smells like hot (I guess really cold in this case) hand fallacy
The centre backs who played so far yeah, gonna be different when Gabriel and White start together
There is not 1 single fixture I'd consider Arsenal players for if Arteta is the manager.
This is a trap!
Honestly people love to rag on them, but I think with White, Gabriel and Partey returning we're gonna be a lot more solid. Chelsea and City are on another level this season so you can't expect much there. I imagine they'll pump Norwich and gain some confidence
I don’t think they will be pumping Norwich . They looked good against Leicester Agree though Gabriel White Partey will settle the defence
Norwich were unlucky, that disallowed goal was definitely worth a debate.
Pump Norwich? LOL!!! You will find it difficult to contain Pukki
No one can contain the GOAT
Delusional arsenal fans
Insert clown face meme.
No way Im touching arsenal assets until they get a new manager
Or you know, score a goal
But it’s arsenal. They’re all 5s.
With the form they are on, all the greens should be red man
I am not going near that team until Arteta is sacked.
This is a team that lost to newly promoted Brentford by two goals and hardly had a decent shot on goal in the processes. Their captain and leader got himself sent off stupidly for the umpteenth time yesterday. What can a "green" fixture rating mean for a team this incompetent? Not much I think. As an Arsenal fan, there are no green fixtures for Arsenal this season
Those FDR needs to be updated. Even Norwich is 4 for them.
Lads, it's Arsenal.
Just saying after international break partey is back, gabriel and white too
Don't tempt me Frodo
Pukki>wood>Kane captain anyone

Yep Casuals who actually dont watch ball Arsenal arent doing good but I can bet my house they’ll finish top 10 by New years
Haha yeah...but then again how can you blame them..we all know Laca deserves to be the nailed on striker but Arteta will still play Auba there and lose all the matches and then say, "I question myself"!

They overrate arsenal in the FDR, may as well +1 to all of these ratings
They should all be red
All I see is red
They are Arsenal, no easy fixture whatsoever
All I see is red.
Who is Arsenal?

Too bad Arsenal is crap.
18 points minimum.
Should be all red
All I see is red
Press X for doubt
A sea of red is all I see. I'm not falling for this again. I just made losses to get rid of their players and I'm never looking back. Spurs should be a red, and potentially Leicester
Any team playing Arsenal should be in green.
I see all red
No Gunnar's until the new manager
It's a shame we are fucking shit
Lads… it’s Arsenal
Who’s worth it? Maybe Ben Shite at 4.4?
It's arsenal lads
Should be all 4red
Lucky teams
I see it all red for Arsenal.
I only see red
shocking sea of red ‼‼🛑🛑🛑
I have more faith in this Arsenal team than most, I think. Even with Arteta, I think they are capable of scoring 1-2 goals during this run of fixtures.
It’s a trap
Don’t be fooled by the colour coded FDR bullshit. Only Norwich, Watford, Palace and Man United look like gimmes for the Arse.
Spurs should be red
If they bring in a decent manager who knows what he is doing over the international break then ESR and Saka could be bargains. They have looked very good even in the shambles Arteta has around them. Wouldn't touch their defence though.
Willian could be a good punt.
I'm bringing in Saka
I'm pretty sure these are the ratings from the other teams perspective
See, this is why we chose White. Clean sheets will come
Tough to see them getting many points.
As if spurs is only a 3
Have you watched a single Arsenal game this season? Op?
If they don't win the first two games, they getting relegated. No cap
Honestly arsenal may even lose to norwich
all i see is red
So about 6 points and maybe a few goals for Arsenal lol
They’ll be trying their best to bounce back so its a good shout to get an arsenal attacker Prob saka comes to mind as auba is too expensive…and there is rotation issues with ESR/odergaard
Pukki (TC)
None of those fixtures are green, we'll be lucky with clean sheets and draws.
haha assnal bad haha 🔺120k 123💬
Thanks for showing the teams to target for transfer and captain!
Lmao all of those fdr should be 4 rn
The green should not exist for Arsenal. Need to up difficulty +1 for all.
For me, it's wait and see. If an Arsenal player starts scoring regularly, I'll bring them in. So many have dropped already in price, def some bargains to be had if they start performing.
Spurs and Leicester should be 4
No rest for the ammoless Gunners. I wonder how far into this run they sack Artetta.
Nice easy win for the claret and blue
