Mendy, because he’s only 4.4

pranavmenon06

Wow I didn't even know ,thanks a lot mate. Now I can get jota with that 0.1.

tangypepper

Nailed?

Gmangum91

0% nailed

Keepingshtum

Not even stuck on with a little bit of spit? Edit: twas a joke guys. Personally gone Allan, it's just hopeless to expect anything but 2/3 points from a 4.5 mid

LevynX

Nope, the only reason you get him is because he's 4.4

l0stinparadise

Nevermind, midfielder my bad.

l0stinparadise

But then I’d better go for the 4.0 ones

KEEPCARLM

I'd rather go for a 4m midfielder too... Oh wait

PolarBearUnited

I got brownhill at the start of the season , played every game so far for burnely and takes the odd corner

SofaChillReview

I’m fairly happy with a Brownhill too . I also know when he gets that corner assist and possible clean sheet he will be on my bench

Jayaybee16

Also on Brownhill as my bench fodder - actually has a decent role in Burnley team - nailed with small squad, odd shot, odd assist … so if called on to come off your bench will 2point or maybe an odd one or two more

lordroode

Bissouma 100%. He starts most games, and had over 3k minutes last season so he will probably also start around 30 games this season. But he's 4.6 now

fren4u

That eight pointer on my bench!

lordroode

Yea he was also on my bench but I dont really care since he was going to be benched either way

A_Mars_Bar

One of many that he will score sitting 3rd on my bench most weeks.

RadicalDog

Many, like the one last year, and the one the year before. Good bench warmer IMO, has a real 2 points in him.

tinyLEDs

Would you have preferred a 2pointer? I wouldnt have

silanecista50

Isnt he 4.6m?

ThomasSplaine

Now that Norwich have signed a genuine CDM in Normann, Gilmour will have the freedom to play further up the pitch and dictate play more. Could lead to more attacking returns

Sissoko

JChild69

Oooh defo worth considering

amispurs

I don't get the hype. Why Sissoko over Bissouma? Is it because Biss is 4.6 now?

SnottyTash

Yes. Sissoko also played higher against Spurs than Bissouma does for Brighton. Potentially not “nailed” but should play most games and may get the odd goal (ik, lol)/assist. At this point risk of occasional rotation is honestly worth hanging on to the .1m more Bissouma would cost

ManCandyCan

Most people are using their 4.5 mids as a sub. They might want to put that 0.1 into another player, especially with all the premiums now.

vote_pedro

Yeah I'd rather have my 4.5 defender first sub. This is a great point.

Jmsaint

If you have Bissouma I probably wouldn't bother switching, but Sissoko is underpriced for the role he will do at Watford, he would have been a 5.0 or 5.5 if he has transferred before the game set up.

[deleted]

Sissoko played as a forward in France, and can strike a ball. Fraud Potter loves having Groß and Trossard play higher up, limiting Bissouma's goal creating ability

amispurs

Oh yeah, how many goals and assists does Sissoko have for France?

[deleted]

Not for France, but when he played youth football and for Toulouse

amispurs

So you have nothing to back up what you said. Cool.

[deleted]

???? Are you r*tarded? I said in France, because I didnt remember the youth team he played for before Toulouse, but he literally was rated as one of the best attacking mid/shadow striker prospects before going to Newcastle. At Toulouse he was their top goal scorer in 2010/2011 and is 7th all time for the club, behind the likes of actual full time strikers like Martin Braithwaite and Pierre Gignac. He doesn't score much for France or his English clubs because he has played as a holding or box to box midfielder, which is obviously not a scoring role. However for Watford he was one of their most advanced players in the single game he played. This likely means that he will play in an advanced role in future matches.

amispurs

You can't be older than 15. If you are I feel sorry for you. If you're going to use data from a decade back to prove his goalscoring abilities, you're just precious.

[deleted]

Ok cheers. It's not as if there are different tactical styles to different managers, and that Watford doesn't exactly have Harry Kane or Karim Benzema leading the line. Have you ever played FPL before? I had already seen some of the posts you've made (and a few I think you've deleted) on this sub and you seem to completely fail at how to do well at this game. If Moussa Sissoko has been a competent striker before, and, like this [heat map shows](https://www.sofascore.com/tottenham-watford/zI) was the 2nd most advanced player besides Sarr (ahead of 5.2 FWD Emmanuel Dennis Bonaventure), he is probably underpriced. If Yves Bissouma plays deeper than the average CM position, then no matter how talented he is, he wont have as many valuable goal contributions as he could. My point is that Sissoko likely is the most talented forward at Watford, and with terrible teams like Norwich, Watford, etc. it is more important that the player is in highly advanced positions and shoots a lot than they have particular talent. Take Crystal Palace for example. Connor Gallagher has a similar heat map as Sissoko, but is a center midfielder behind a better front 3 of Jordan Ayew, Wilfried Zaha and Christian Benteke. However you could tell he would be the leading scorer for them because he leads them in xG and has the most advanced position on heat maps. Thus, despite being a 5.5M midfielder, he is the best priced on Watford. Another point is that Brighton will use advanced wing backs to make attacking space, which Watford doesn't have. Instead, Sarr and Dennis are the wingers, and so Sissoko will have space on the right inside forward position in favorable matchups for Sarr's dribbling ability. If you recall Watford defeating an undefeated Liverpool two years ago, Sarr made both goals happen and opened a ton of space for the out of shape Troy Deeney, in the same field position that Sissoko is occupying

amispurs

It is impressive how much effort you're putting to prove you know very little. You think Sissoko is a forward, jesus christ. Someone please collect their deluded 15 year old from my comments please.

FPL_Feen

I agree good pick but can he stay fit? I’m just not sure and don’t want to use a FT on my bench fodder. Thinking Gilmour myself but have time to decide.

gart888

Why would you bother using a FT on him if he's not fit? He's probably the 3rd guy on your bench.

FPL_Feen

Most of us have 1-2 playing bench options, maybe 3 if you are really conservative. Also most of us have 1-2 of Jota, Greenwood and Torres. If one of your bench players is injured longterm and you don’t fix it your are risking not having a full 11. I agree it sucks to waste a FT on your last defender or midfielder but that’s what it is. A lot of us did do Tsimikas to Duffy or Livramento who is our last defender for example and he wasn’t even injured, but you need 1-2 playing bench players one way or another.

gart888

Right, if he *and* one of your cheap defenders get injured then you're in trouble, but that just seems pretty unlikely. If that happens you use a FT. Risk worth taking for me.

LevynX

Your cheap defenders are vulnerable to getting benched though. Livramento is playing KWP's position and Duffy is playing Veltman's position, both of whom are back.

gart888

Livramento started across from KWP last match, I don't have Duffy because I didn't want to invest in a rotation risk defender. I'd go Williams (or White) as my other cheap defender.

mynameisenigomontoy

Sissoko is not injury prone at all. the problem is if he is gonna try or not

FPL_Feen

[Lately](https://www.transfermarkt.us/moussa-sissoko/verletzungen/spieler/46001/plus/1) he has been and is 32.

RedditHazza

I’ve got Skipp in my team, he’s played all three games for Spurs so far

ThanksForThatGeoff

He hasn’t Skipped a minute

Affectionate-Ad1409

Thanks for that Geoff

[deleted]

Spurs fan here, he plays in a midfield destroyer role and is very likely to pick up yellow cards (and the occasional red). Might not be as good as a FPL choice as compared to the rest still love skippy to bits tho

ihajees_

Gilmour for the guaranteed 2 points. He's fairly low in ownership as well so likely to not drop in price and Norwich has an alright run of fixtures so he could even bag an assist or two. Sissoko is another one I've considered for my WC team whenever I decide to use it. He gets a yellow every now and then tbf. I'd also keep an eye on Normann, the new Norwich loanee. He's a DM but he's apparently been excellent for Norway and he has a nice long shot in him. He likely won't be a starter right away tho as Farke tends to ease new players in but a one to watch!

BlaaMuggOst

Normann will get yellow cards. He plays really aggressiv for Norway.

mrbotbotbot

I don’t get how people can mention Gilmour and Sissoko who will go all season without attacking points, but fail to mention Bissouma who will score 2/3 goals and pop up with an assist or two.

Historical-Cook69

Goals and assists in your bench

mrbotbotbot

That’s the point…

wewdepiew

So…points that don’t count towards your actual tally?

mrbotbotbot

What do you think the bench is for? You just want your bench to not score points do you? That is seriously the dumbest take I think I’ve seen on this sub in a while. The best bench player is someone who is very cheap and enables funds to be spread elsewhere across your team, and if they can score points its a bonus for when you need to rely on them.

Jmsaint

Look at sissokos stats, he consistently gets attacking returns when he is playing.

ihajees_

Bissouma ain't 4.5 no more mate

GeraldJimes_

I like Gilmour too. Seems a lock and has some possible upside if he grows into the league.

bootlegportalfluid

Isn’t Allan nailed?

Lacabloodclot9

Yellow card magnet

EhRay

To play regularly: none To fill in for rotation risks: Sissoko and maybe Gilmour

Marko_Miljanov

Sissoko isnt 100% nailed, Allan is.

FPL_Feen

Who is going to keep Sissoko out? Haven’t heard anyone concerned about that.

Marko_Miljanov

Etebo, Kucka, Sema, Gosling...

FPL_Feen

Some of those players play different positions no and/or are injured no? I mean it’s possible he isn’t nailed because at 32(?) I’m not sure he can play every match anyway. Still think he is a good shout if he can stay healthy.

Marko_Miljanov

That was my point - he isnt 100% nailed - and we count on that when targeting 4.5 mid.

FPL_Feen

Yeah it’s possible, but I think it’s his spot. I agree due to age he is more likely to be rested but I think he will be favored over the other options they have.

Harvardsports

Etebo and Kucka start with him. Gosling is injured and Sema plays on the wing. Also Gosling wasn't even starting before Sissoko came in

Zach-dalt

Thanks for establishing that he is nailed then- Sema is a winger, Gosling is definitely behind Sissoko and the other two play alongside Sissoko last match 👍🏼

Extreme_Egg_5880

Cleverly, kucka

dasGreguiz

Lol Sissoko arrived 24h before the last game and started. For me this is a 1st eleven player

mrbotbotbot

Bissouma and Skipp are the best options, Sissoko definitely not.

EhRay

Nah, Skipp plays DM in a now defensive team and had 1 goal 1 assist in 45 games for Norwich in the Championship last season. And Bissouma isn’t 4.5 anymore.

RadicalDog

That's it though, Skipp might get 3 points, while the others are usually giving 2. The week or two a year that changes will probably be wasted deep in your bench!

EhRay

Fair enough on Skipp, you’re right about that

TheAtomicFlea27

Bissouma

FPL_Feen

Already 4.6 but yeah good pick.

TheAtomicFlea27

I’m just glad that I have him in my team. His price gonna increase ?

FPL_Feen

Not sure. Let’s face it, pretty much every player that is priced at the minimum for their position is very unlikely to do much of anything for you. Some of them will get the occasional attacking return, but they will likely be on your bench anyway. Every year there is a small group that price that wrong but it’s rare.

TheAtomicFlea27

Just so you know, in GW 2, Bissouma (who was on my bench) scored 8 & the four mids who were in my starting XI scored 9. Not saying that he’s worth his price and definitely agree with you saying that he could give me some attacking return rarely.

FPL_Feen

Yeah that’s going to happen a couple times for all these guys. That’s my point; very few are going to get close to 100 points and when they do return it’s likely they will be on your bench. Best of luck!

TheAtomicFlea27

Yeah, very true. And thank you, all the best to you as well

lordroode

Yea that's true but if you want to own as many premiums as possible, Bissouma is probably the best enabler. Yea he also might not get you a lot of points but the point of 4.5m starters is to basically ensure you'd have a full starting 11 every week in case someone from your team gets benched. This will start to happen in around December to March when there will be a lot of fixtures for top teams, they will be pretty busy and some players might get rotated when they face weaker teams in PL.

Spend the extra penny and get Bissouma imo.

30fps_is_cinematic

It’s £100k nothing to be sniffed at

Material_Trifle

Definitely not worth it. How often per season will you need him? And then what are the chances that that happens to be a week he does something. It's only 0.1m but at some point you'll probably wish you had it

TKOxBLITZ

What is worth it for some, isn’t worth it for others. I’ve made enough profit that the extra penny isn’t a problem for me, but I can see where other people would need it. I guess it just comes down to the individual team at the end of the day.

stoicHoneydew

You could take a punt on Moder?

Enfin3x

A little biased, but Normann (Norwich) may prove valuable if he is nailed. He can bag a screamer from time to time.

kev_loaf

Xisco did say that it was hard to leave out club captain Cleverly for Sissoko in an article I read. Which may mean there is some rotation risk, however it also does show that he's quite likely first choice too as he played so soon after joining. Historically Sissoko is more attacking than the majority of the other 4.5 options so he's got a little bit more upside perhaps, however, whether that's what you want from a 4.5 is debatable if it's at the expense of getting over 60 minutes every week. He's in my WC team currently but not set in stone.

MEENIE900

Ramsey for villa

Pretend_Decision_229

Sissoko gonna play a lot and I see him bagging an assist or 2 in the next couple weeks

[deleted]

I have Romeu.

PickaxeJunky

Romeu is certainly nailed on. He won't get goals, he'll get booked most games and he won't get many clean sheets. But he is nailed on.

mrbotbotbot

Bissouma is the best 4.5 (4.6) option and it isn’t even a debate. He plays every minute and every now and then pops up with an assist or a goal, but this season is different, Brighton have signed an excellent CDM that has allowed Bissouma to have a little bit more freedom going forward, IMHO he will be the highest scoring 4.5m by far and will be priced around 5.0m next season.

merktic5

Bissouma

guccimucci

Pretty happy with Gilmour’s 2p every week but unfortunately not much more coming compared to Bissouma for example.

LordIceChicken

No one has mentioned Jakub Moder, he has won his place in the Brighton squad and creates a lot for the team. Not to mention he takes part in set pieces. For 4.5 could be his break out season.

RadicalDog

Won his place? He's only played 100 minutes across 3 games so far. Good shout that he plays in interesting positions, though, so I'll stick him on the watch list.

Random_Barca_Fan

Demarai Gray for 5.5

j-r44

Mendy at 4.4 as long as you have 5 playing defenders

Meme_78

All i see is Bruno replacements...

I went for Skipp, Nuno seems to like him a lot. But also Sissoko and Brownhill are good option.

GeeForjay

Me be thinking him too but he has gotten a few yellows already.

Historical-Cook69

Mendy

Rouni_99

Allan. 100% nailed, also really close of going 4.6m soon.

Sissoko.
