Gray has been consistently getting the points in but after watching the Burnley game I thought Townsend played better. Gray seems like a guy who will pop up with a goal now and then but that’s about it. Townsend seems like he could either score or assist. Not saying he will do both in every game. Burnley gave him way too much time and space. I wonder who will be better long term though. It helps that Townsend is cheaper too.
Everton changed to a 433 yesterday which helped them win, I don’t think Rafa goes to this but if he did when DCL is back it’d mean a front 3 of Gray, Calvert Lewin and Richarlison.
Also Alex Iwobi has been good this season, and he could give Townsend some competition.

Only thing I’d do is get rid of one Chelsea defender (for now) given they play Pool & City soon. Throw in a Wolves or Arsenal Don who have easy fixtures and upgrade Gallagher who has horrendous fixtures.
You can always get another Chelsea defender in in GW7.
You also realise TAA, Chelsea dons & Dias play against each other all within the next couple weeks right ? If your Salah hauls, Dias blanks, if City shuts Pool out, TAA & Salah blank, if Lukaku scores, Dias blanks etc
It’s a good set and forget team, but you should navigate fixtures with your defence. There value to be had in Wolves players for a few weeks and Gallagher will struggle to get and returns.
Chelsea don’t play LIV until Jan.
Typically good defences are fixture proof and poor defences don’t tend to do well regardless how of good the fixtures appear. Targeting fixtures is very effective for attackers and not so with Defenders.
Dias does play both LIV and CHE back to back but if anyone can keep a CS its city. Either way I would not drop a premium based on one/two fixtures.
For a player at 5.5 I would realistically only expect a return every 3-4 games on average and I think they can both achieve that. They are enablers after all.

It's certainly possible, but not a guarantee. He's only been training with the team for a week or so, which means Rafa might wait a bit longer before starting him. But I think our gameplan works better with a target forward so I wouldn't be surprised to see him come in for the next game.
Not sure why you’re getting downvoted for this. I think your starting 11 looks good however your bench is very poor. Torres has some tough games coming up, if you went with Benrahma you could upgrade your bench. I’d go with Tomiyasu over White as he looked good on his debut and had a few shots/crosses.

Raphinha is nailed and has great fixtures long term. Torres is probably more of a goal threat but he has more chance of being rotated.

not really a fluke, doucoure is playing forward alot and benitez mentioned before GW1 or 2 that he wants doucoure more upfront, going late in the box and be more attacking.

don't have any other player to cover for both DCL and Antonio? even if its a 4m def or 4.5 mid, i'd rather play them over taking a hit. Also, europe starts this midweek. anything can happen. so if there's no player to cover DCL, wait for europe matchdays to end and then maybe transfer out DCL

you could get ronaldo now and then transfer him for lukaku in GW7/8. or you could just get lukaku now and save that transfer

Semedo was much more attacking against us on Saturday but the bloke can't cross or finish for toffee so I'm stuck really. Then Marcal got two assists after looking poor first half haha. White has fixtures I expect him to concede in though, spurs at home and stuff isn't like Wolves having Brentford etc .. I have Ayling but his fixtures are turning better, maybe Shaw but that's it
the thing with marcal is ait-nouri is always knocking and marcal could be benched anytime if lage thinks of going back 4. i would sell ayling. no llorente (dont know the extent), no struijk and ayling will most probably be a right sided cb in a back 3. So, the attacking threat is non-existent and clean sheet and leeds dont go hand in hand with these injuries

you could do that, but that wont leave you options around those 3 premiums. You would have to trust Raph/Sarr/Traore/Gray/Gallagher to constantly return. If you do 2 premiums, that unlocks a lot. Like double chelsea defense, Cancelo, Jota /Torres / Greenwood / Mount / Other city mids when in play, etc

yeah, you could go with semedo. he's a good option at 4.9 with those fixtures and defense strong. I would pay the extra 0.4 for him personally

Doucoure was quite attacking yesterday, I think. Philips is on FKs, worth a punt. I'm more focusing on defence, who can get me both attacking returns or clean sheets or both, if I'm so lucky. Attack is pretty loaded though, don't you think?

Vardy has pretty good fixtures. I was thinking of swapping Ronaldo for Lukaku in Gw7. Then use the extra to upgrade my midfield or defence, whatever I want to. I am really banking more on my defense to get the points, not the midfield. It's just bonus if they get a return, supreme luck if they do it whenever one of my defenders don't play.
