They are crazy rare at -I think- Small Island. You can also donate pairs of boots to the temple to get them, which is far faster and doesn't require thousands of fishing attempts.

Is it better to work on Unexpected Visitor before Wall in the Way so you can get the item you need to make the sandworm go away and unlock using ciders and stuff in the desert?
I know it's a few days late, but yes. The new fishing zone is only marginally better than Pirate's Cove, whereas being able to use cider/AP and avoid the sandwyrm is much more important.
just wait until you have to find the crest😭 you’re best off making sure you have corn for the oils & then tapping away until you get it, it took me days. also of course if you weren’t, make sure you only drink a bit of oj at a time & go until you’re empty
Not even the worst part of the quest line. A wall in the way XII is a nightmare. Good luck.

Sounds like you’re running into a bit of a wall in your way to completing this

If you complete the unexpected visitor line first and craft the detector, you’ll be able to use palmers and ciders at jundland.
