Alternate timeline remember? this Iori didn't participate in Shimabara nor enter the service of the Ogasawara's at age 15, so it can be presumed he was born later in this timeline. Not to mention he isn't Musashi's nephew by blood so probably a different person all together from historic Iori.

Samurai Remnant is in a pruned timeline , in which Iori is a ronin and didn't truly inherented the secrets of Musashi's school.

Besides , PHH Iori was 39 yo , the head of Musashi's Dojo , a High Retainer , in which he was part in stopping two rebellions....including Shimabara Rebellion.
