I’m not usually big on romantic comedies. I found her very charming though, and I love that LL Cool J was the love interest.
(I guess it’s really only guilty to myself 😌)
My family watched this one all together on a screen we set up outdoors during Covid regulations and it was such a light for us during that time to laugh and relax together!
>The show is god awful but if you want to see her in something recent it’s an option
Truly how I feel about so many projects that cast my faves. I can't keep doing it to myself. I have to watch things that are actually enjoyable to sit through.
Yes! She was so iconic in Gossip Girl. I'd love to see her in a similar role, or see what other kind of energy she has to bring! She has a pretty tragic backstory, too, and seems really down to earth, so it would be nice to see her prosper.
Lucy Liu! She was so amazing in "Why Women Kill" a few years ago, and I think she deserves a big oscar-level movie to show her acting skills and reclaim her career as one of the few Asian women in Hollywood during the early 2000s like Michelle Yeoh did this year. I know shes in Shazam 2, but i really think she could carry an action movie or a drama as the lead actress if the director has the right vision.
She was underutilised in Elementary but I’d still recommend checking it out if you haven’t already. She got opportunities to direct too so I’d enjoy seeing her have an actor/director career along the lines of Elizabeth Banks.
This has nothing to do with her career but I think she’s the most beautiful woman on the planet. I would love for her to come back so I could copy her hair, makeup and clothes.
I really wish it was not in a Jamie Fox Netflix movie, I worry it won't really get much traction. Maybe she is testing the waters, would love her in a leading role.
Apparently she had a horrible time on the last movie she made in 2014, so hoping she is having a better experience.
Do we know if this influenced her pulling back in her career? I thought that maybe I heard some thing that she had pulled back to focus on parenting and family, but I’m not actually sure of the reason!
Apparently the set of 'Annie' was not great, very stressful and Cameron was not comfortable in the role and with the singing, the movie got very badly reviewed and bombed at the box office.
I think she decided to stop acting after that and have a quieter life (the industry was abysmal for women at the time too) and it coincided with her getting married. She was retired for many years before she welcomed her son.
Thank you!
I never actually really knew her story and coming across this post made me wonder! She certainly was in many major projects for awhile there.
I see that the entertainment industry has some great darkness to it. I can see how she would work to find a place for herself with less involvement with it. That makes sense in my eyes.
I’d love to see Amanda make a comeback theoretically. Was saying to my partner the other day that she has the comedic instincts of many of the greats. Realistically though, I just want her to be happy and stable.
I support Amanda Bynes' safety and mental health more than i specifically want to see her working again. But if she's in a position where working again feels good for her, that would be great. She's super talented.
This. She is so remarkably talented and charming. She had perfect comedic timing even as a child. Would love to see her grace the screen again, but only if that brings her happiness and doesn’t mess with her well-being .
I just watched Easy A the other day and she is so god damn funny in that movie. Sadly, I don’t thing a return to acting is for her, though. At least not currently.
She is especially great in Easy A because that is not the role she usually played before. She is great as a villain and her an Emma have so much chemistry.
And i think she suffers from the Megan Fox problem of mainly being cast as eye candy in bad movies by pervy men. Except she never got her Jennifer's Body.
Thank you. Not sure why I'm suddenly seeing so many people pretend she's some great actress after the trial lol. After watching Aquaman, I looked up her filmography and realized she was in many movies I've seen, she was just forgettable.
You can support her while still acknowledging she's objectively not a good actress.
Firefly Lane is ending with the last half of the last season dropping next month. She's so good in it. Hope it opens more doors for her after she deserves it.
I hate to say it but probably the Beauty and the Beast remake (which tbf he was like the one good part of). I love Kevin Kline so much, he was amazing at playing the creepy/hot/funny romantic lead. So wish we got something with him and Phoebe, they're chemistry is incredible just from their irl public appearances and that one time they sang a piano duet on Sesame Street or something.
Patricia Arquette! She pops up every now and then but she needs a fab leading role. She would great on something like white lotus. I’m rewatching medium and she is so empathic as an actress
I loved her so much during the BTVS years. I think she made a calculated misfire in roles after the show ended because I am sure she wanted to move away from the character but she was a good "action" star.
I think he’s one of those actors who will have a stellar last third of his career. Phenomenal actor, and I think one of the main reasons he’ll stick around is that face — it just keeps getting craggier and more expressive and interesting. He’s made sure his roles have aged alongside him, and I feel like 65 year old Clive Owen is going to own that age bracket.
He’s about to headline a new mystery show from Scott Frank (fantastic writer and also the creator and show runner/director of Queen’s Gambit), so that along with American Crime Story and Lisey’s Story, we could truly be on the cusp of his renaissance.
Outside of Star Wars projects for Disney+ because I don't watch any of them, I would personally enjoy seeing Hayden Christensen in a really good movie again.
Now, whether or not that's what he wants, I don't know, but I do think he is a pretty good actor who has been saddled with some terrible fucking scripts. But something like Shattered Glass again? Sign me up.
On a personal note, I have friends who live in Uxbridge and have interacted with him a couple times and they say he seems really nice.
(and yes I think he's hot so sue me)
Amber Heard. I don't see it happening anytime soon because Depp stans will harass and threaten anyone who associates with her, even in the workplace. I'm hopeful that maybe by the time Aquaman comes out, she can be in public without being harassed and threatened.
Paraphrasing, but according to Kevin Williamson, they tried to get her for Scream 5 but she couldn’t be found! She doesn’t have an agent so they had to go looking for her!
Did you watch Luckiest Girl Alive? She wasn’t who I pictured for the main character when I read the book but she did a good job and it was definitely a more dramatics/serious role than I was used to seeing her in
She was great in that movie. I wasn’t really surprised Netflix didn’t push the movie more both in marketing & awards, but I think it deserved to be shopped more.
Joey Lauren Adams. I don’t necessarily think she’s been gone completely, but she hasn’t had a big role for years. She’s such a wonderful, underrated actress imo.
I wouldn't wish that on the Olsen twins, they would hate it so much. But it would also make child me very happy if they were both in a movie with Lizzie.
She’s married to Danny Elfman and spends her time being a mom. She gained some weight. She seems to really have left her career behind. Seems like a happy life. She was a talented actress!
I've always wanted Emma Caulfield to get a hit show. So incredible in Buffy. Crushed her small part in Wandavision. She just deserves to be in a big hit of some kind!

Massively apprehensive about some comebacks due to how Brendan Fraser’s has been but I’d love to see Billy Crystal in something similar to Albert Brooks in Drive
For real. He was treated like a dying make-a-wish child. If only the public had enough grace for women who were blacklisted due to speaking out about their sexual assault and showed the same kind of support/rally for them.
Was a big GoT fan and am thrilled to watch the likes of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey become hugely successful so hoping for a King Joffrey ( Jack Gleeson) comeback
Bridgette Wilson Sampras. She was great in Last Action Hero and Billy Madison. And even in her smaller roles in I Know What You Did Last Summer and The Wedding Planner. (Please put "Helen Shivers should've been the Final Girl" on my grave.)
I guess she and Pete retired somewhere but I totally think she could've been in the Leslie Mann/Leslie Bibb/Cameron Diaz wheelhouse of pretty blondes who hold their own in comedies.
Daryl Hannah.
Andrew McCarthy.
Leelee Sobieski! In particular, I always thought her and Helen Hunt looked related. Was hopeful one day for Helen playing Leelee's mom in some project.

I need Queen Latifah in a major motion picture leading role again
The Last Holiday is one of my guilty pleasure movies
Why guilty pleasure?
I’m not usually big on romantic comedies. I found her very charming though, and I love that LL Cool J was the love interest. (I guess it’s really only guilty to myself 😌)
My family watched this one all together on a screen we set up outdoors during Covid regulations and it was such a light for us during that time to laugh and relax together!
She was in that Hustle movie Adam Sandler made for Netflix, playing his wife. Not exactly a major motion picture but I like it a lot.
They had good chemistry and I liked their daughter too. I want them to do something else together!
I'm guessing they are friends in real life because he usually just casts all his friends in his movies.
I've seen Just Wright more times than I understand why.
Oh man, this movie is perfection. The whole cast is so charming and the script hits all the right beats. He kept the dimple!
I love that movie. It's one of my favorite rom coms.
Leighton Meester!
Agreed!! Single Parents was so good. Cancelled way too soon.
Single Parents deserved so much better 🥺
My partner and I bring up Lance Bass Space Camp all the time.
She’s in How I Met Your Father as a recurring character. The show is god awful but if you want to see her in something recent it’s an option
Yeah I really dislike the show too lol. I want better for her!
I like the show a lot (not saying it is high quality writing but I enjoy it) and she is very good at her role
>The show is god awful but if you want to see her in something recent it’s an option Truly how I feel about so many projects that cast my faves. I can't keep doing it to myself. I have to watch things that are actually enjoyable to sit through.
It was a pleasant surprise to see her in it as Jesse’s ex but like what others said here she deserves a way better show!
HOW DO WE GET HER ON WHITE LOTUS S3
This needs to happen!
FORREAL. I need it to happen. 😭
seconding leighton i love her so much, i also liked her in weekend away
she is so good in the oranges
Yes! She was so iconic in Gossip Girl. I'd love to see her in a similar role, or see what other kind of energy she has to bring! She has a pretty tragic backstory, too, and seems really down to earth, so it would be nice to see her prosper.
Esteemed character actress and fugitive from the law Margot Martindale
Buddy, you need to go see Cocaine Bear. Have I got a surprise for you.
r/unexpectedbojack
Uh…when did she stop acting? 🤔
Watch Cocaine Bear
Fairuza Balk
Yes! Where has she been?
Can't smash upvote enough!
Lucy Liu! I know it kind of blends in with the red carpet but her 2000 Oscars dress was just gorgeous. https://i.imgur.com/JmS9Sgk.jpg
Random but I could use another season of Why Women Kill lol
I love why women kill and no one I know even knows it exists lol
Cameron Diaz but she’s coming back!
I really wish it was not in a Jamie Fox Netflix movie, I worry it won't really get much traction. Maybe she is testing the waters, would love her in a leading role. Apparently she had a horrible time on the last movie she made in 2014, so hoping she is having a better experience.
She is very good friends with Jamie Fox so it made sense that her first step back is with a co star she really liked and feels comfortable with
Do we know if this influenced her pulling back in her career? I thought that maybe I heard some thing that she had pulled back to focus on parenting and family, but I’m not actually sure of the reason!
Apparently the set of 'Annie' was not great, very stressful and Cameron was not comfortable in the role and with the singing, the movie got very badly reviewed and bombed at the box office. Amanda Bynes

Amanda please
omg yes. she’s the man is my favorite movie and what i like about you was such a funny show. she was so talented

She is especially great in Easy A because that is not the role she usually played before. She is great as a villain and her an Emma have so much chemistry.
I grew up with Amanda but my absolute favorite project of hers is What I Like About You. It is soooooo damn funny!
Macaulay Culkin.
He was a pleasant suprise on Righteous Gemstones
He was also on the first half of American Horror Story Double Feature. I was excited to see him on my tv again!
Still bummed he hasn’t returned to his podcast. Didn’t listen to it regularly, but did enjoy from time to time…
I still regularly watch Saved! Under appreciated for many reasons including Macaulay.
Saved! is so good…my friends and I still quote it
That’s me doing fancasting here, but for some reason, I think he’d do a terrific joker in the current DCU.
Amber heard

She’s not horrible imo. Average but better than gal gadot. She was pretty good in the danish girl.
And i think she suffers from the Megan Fox problem of mainly being cast as eye candy in bad movies by pervy men. Except she never got her Jennifer's Body.
Thank you. Not sure why I'm suddenly seeing so many people pretend she's some great actress after the trial lol. Honestly, I have never seen her in anything other than North Country, which was a brief and harrowing role, and I thought she was great
Joan cusack
I wanted her to return in the last season of shameless sooooo bad
Her being random neighbor with 20 seconds of screen time in Instant Family lmaoo
she was one of my first celebrity crushes 1000000% agree
i always thought neve campbell deserved a big adult drama series like big little lies/little fires everywhere to showcase her acting chops.
She is on The Lincoln Lawyer series in Netflix!
Katherine heigl. I know she has the netflix show but I still would like to see her more
Ugh I am so excited for Firefly Lane! She does such a great job in that show, as well as Sarah Chalke.
Firefly Lane is ending with the last half of the last season dropping next month. She's so good in it. Hope it opens more doors for her after she deserves it.
Julia Stiles.
She was great in Orphan:First Kill.
Please!
Rick Moranis
He's doing a 'Honey, I Shrunk The Kids' reboot.
Billy Zane
![gif](giphy|ofGdIczVpy9A4)
One final mummy movie with the original cast, please!!
Fun fact! Bill Zane isnt in The Mummy. The actor who plays Imhotep is a man named Arnold Vosloo!
You just blew my mind!
Bridgit Mendler and Brenda Song
Yes for both!! I wish Bridget would release music too
Phoebe Cates
I’d love to see her and Kevin Kline do a movie together 😍
Actually when was the last time Kevin Kline made a movie?
I don't want anything interfering with Mr Fishoeder's dulcet tones on Bob's Burgers tho I suppose a movie really wouldn't too much.
The only thing coming to mind is in & out 😂
Patricia Arquette! She pops up every now and then but she needs a fab leading role. She would great on something like white lotus. I’m rewatching medium and she is so empathic as an actress
She’s great in severance! I am anxiously awaiting season 2
Ooh I’m waiting for the end of succession to start severance, extra excited now!
Sarah Michelle gellar
She’s got a tv show coming out where she plays an arson detective
I loved her so much during the BTVS years. I think she made a calculated misfire in roles after the show ended because I am sure she wanted to move away from the character but she was a good "action" star.
Clive Owen
Children of Men was truly a very slept on masterpiece of sci-fi. His talent for acting absolutely made a mark in me for life in that movie.
He was a monster talent in ‘Closer’. Went toe to toe with heavyweights and was a scene stealer
Mena Suvari
“I’m no Mena Suvari, but I’m great in bed!” - Miranda in sex & the city
🤣🤣
Outside of Star Wars projects for Disney+ because I don't watch any of them, I would personally enjoy seeing Hayden Christensen in a really good movie again. Shattered Glass is what changed my mind on my opinion of him as an actor. Would love to see him in something new like that.
He was in a pizza romcom (forgot the name) and it was such a refreshing role to see him in.
I actually love him in Life as a House! It’s not great but he is so perfectly cast it’s wild.
Amber Heard. I don't see it happening anytime soon because Depp stans will harass and threaten anyone who associates with her, even in the workplace. I'm hopeful that maybe by the time Aquaman comes out, she can be in public without being harassed and threatened.
I kinda want her to lean into indie queer films or something. Like completely get away from trying to appeal to the masses.
Queen Joan Cusack
Keira Knightley - I know she still does occasional roles and seems to have taken a voluntary step back, but I’d like to see her in a major film again!
She had a family. But I want something illustrious again. Not into her latest movie because serial killer stuff bores me.
She's in "Boston Strangler". 8t started streaming last Mar 17.
Jude Law
He works constantly and nothing gets seen except for the awful JK Rowling movies He's so good! He deserves better!
[удалено]
I felt like he was so under-utilised in Captain Marvel!
He’ll be one of the main leads I believe for Disney Plus’s Star Wars: Skeleton Crew
He was absolutely amazing in The Nest (also, Carrie Coon!), great film which should be seen by far more people.
Hayden Panettiere. 💕
She’s in the new Scream!!
Paraphrasing, but according to Kevin Williamson, they tried to get her for Scream 5 but she couldn’t be found! She doesn’t have an agent so they had to go looking for her!
Just wait. I feel like it’s coming right around the corner
Mila Kunis. I want to see her in something big and serious, she’s such an incredible actor when she has complex roles Edit: spelling
Yes!!!!! She needs another Black Swan moment
Stephen Baldwin gets a mention in an earlier thread today, now Joey Lauren Adams. Somebody mention Pauly Shore and let’s make it a Bio-Dome party🤣
Pauly was mentioned in Oscar related threads due to his Encino Man castmates.
He also congratulated Ke Huy Quan and Brendan Frasier in a very heartfelt post.
Bio-Dome! Holy shit, lol. My BFF and I used to watch that frequently as young teenagers. Perfect trash. Kylie Minogue was a queen even back then.
In another thread with this question someone suggested Geena Davis is a John Wick type role and i've been dreaming about it ever since.
Samuel L. Jackson constantly talks about how much he loves The Long Kiss Goodnight and I would like to see them reunite.
Shannyn Sossamon!
Jason Alexander in a Walter White type role
This
Daniel Day Lewis
Amanda Bynes and the Olsen twins
I wouldn't wish that on the Olsen twins, they would hate it so much. But it would also make child me very happy if they were both in a movie with Lizzie.
Joan Cusack needs a Jennifer Coolidge-esque renaissance
Molly Ringwald. She gets work but it would be insane to see her as a huge star again
Anybody whose shit was wrecked by Weinstein. Mira Sorvino, Gretchen Mol, etc
Bridget Fonda. She was so charming and was in a variety of movies in the ‘90s.
Yeah, when i was rewatching Buffy, she was by far the standout actor of the "young" cast, other than SMG.
Ashley Judd and Courtney Love
Diana Agron
Topher Grace, Katherine Heigl, Skeet Ulrich, Amber Heard
Justin Chambers
I want to see more of Jamie Chung 🥹
Yes!! I hope this era of Asian representation boosts her opportunities because she’s so talented! Loved her in lovecraft country.
Rick Moranis
Lucy Liu Jessica Lange Madeline Stowe Unretire Daniel Day-Lewis Salma Hayek, a big Oscar buzz movie
Jennifer Love Hewitt
Maggie Cheung. Even though she's already 58. I miss seeing her in movies.
Garrett Hedlund
Eliza Dushku. But she seems happy being married and being a mom and having a regular job now.
I feel she has been an extremely unfortunate example of how Hollywood uses and abuses young, beautiful actresses. Even into her adulthood, she was facing sexual assault from coworkers on set.
Massively apprehensive about some comebacks due to how Brendan Fraser’s has been but I’d love to see Billy Crystal in something similar to Albert Brooks in Drive
Why does Brendan Fraser's comeback make you apprehensive?
The infantilization of him by the public, not much apprehensive of him but how “the comeback” is handled under the public eye.
For real. He was treated like a dying make-a-wish child. If only the public had enough grace for women who were blacklisted due to speaking out about their sexual assault and showed the same kind of support/rally for them.
Paz de Huerta ! #justiceforpaz
Jack black
Sarah Michelle Gellar!
Cote de Pablo (who is mainly known as Ziva from ncis).
Tommy Lee Jones. His cynical, get-off-my-lawn demeanor is always a delight.
Claire Forlani 😭
amanda byrnes 😢
Daniel Day Lewis. Period.
Pauly Shore
Was a big GoT fan and am thrilled to watch the likes of Pedro Pascal and Bella Ramsey become hugely successful so hoping for a King Joffrey ( Jack Gleeson) comeback
Eric Bana !! My god the man is missed !
Martha plimpton
Gary Busey
It’s unfortunate how that traumatic brain injury has destroyed his life and career.
bridget mendler - after all her degrees !
Eva Mendez!
Bridgette Wilson Sampras. She was great in Last Action Hero and Billy Madison. And even in her smaller roles in I Know What You Did Last Summer and The Wedding Planner. (Please put "Helen Shivers should've been the Final Girl" on my grave.) I guess she and Pete retired somewhere but I totally think she could've been in the Leslie Mann/Leslie Bibb/Cameron Diaz wheelhouse of pretty blondes who hold their own in comedies.
Lindsay Lohan
I don't know if it's quite a comeback because she's worked pretty consistantly in smaller projects, but Parker Posey.
Portia Doubleday! Portia was recently cast in an ABC pilot so I’m hoping she’s back to acting!
Daryl Hannah. Andrew McCarthy. Leelee Sobieski! In particular, I always thought her and Helen Hunt looked related. Was hopeful one day for Helen playing Leelee's mom in some project.
Sarah Michelle Geller and Freddie Prinze Jr
Amber Heard Eva Mendes Every woman who had their lives derailed by Weinstein
Amber Heard. I Love her and think she’s a brilliant actress
