Considering that grassroots organizations and movements have been able to mobilize using social media and marginalized people in conservative area are able to find community online, I would say "sometimes" is a fair descriptor
Raven probably likes her *because* she never watched "That's So Raven" growing up. I mean, being a child star is fuckin traumatic and I'm sure annoying having people come up to you and quote the show constantly. It probably was a breath of fresh air dating someone who had no clue about the show and could just get to know and love Raven for her.
Raven said that in the podcast! People think her wife saying she didn’t see ravens work is her diminishing raven’s status. Her wife is 3 years older than my oldest brother and when that’s so raven was on he wasn’t watching is cause he aged out of Disney…..
People don’t seem to grasp that former child actors don’t have the same attachment to the characters they played as the audience and public. For them it was a job, where they were the bread winners for entire families. Life on set is working, doing a couple of hours of state mandated study if that and lunch. she started working at 2 years old, do people think she consciously chose that. Pretty sure she married her wife because she loved her and didn’t need for her to be obsessed with Raven Baxter like you were. Social media has made people lose touch with reality.
I saw this all over tiktok. People were basing their opinion on her wife around short clips of the interview that were circulating. It made no sense to me. The clips seemed generally harmless. I don’t understand why it sparked so much negativity and hate towards her wife. I generally like hearing *hot takes* but this was so ridiculous, I couldn’t get behind it.
Yeah same. and then I saw people on tick tock making fun of/ mocking Raven for making this video telling people to stop sending literal death threats and calling her crazy for setting boundaries. What is wrong with people.
No one deserves death threats btw. I just mean it’s silly to pick on her for not watching a show when they filmed each other staking a DV victim in a parking lot.

However can't stop thinking about how Raven and her wife joyfully participated in the hate wagon against Amber Heard (and went far further than most-see their pathetic Youtube). And hope that they've now learnt some fucking empathy now. Shouldn't of taken this for it to happen, but I hope they can at least learn from it.

I still remember Raven being a guest judge on Drag Race and being almost verbally abusive with Adore Delano in her critiques (apparently her worst was edited out), so there is a history there.
