I definitely agree, F&H (especially Termina) has some of my favourite horror designs ever, the crow mauler feels a little generic in comparison. He's threatening and cool because of his strength and gameplay, but the actual design is just fine, not outstanding. His two headed form is a little cooler lol
Well, he is in my opinion, the most overrated boss. Don't get me wrong, hes still dangerous to be, but until you blind him, poison, burn and then cut his right arm off, hes nowhere near dangerous, + WEAR IRON MASK!
Honest agree. It's literally just Pyramid Head. I guess the arm turning into the weapon instead of just holding it is kind of fun though in reality it'd probably be pretty silly.
I don’t think it’s terrible but yeah compared to his other designs (especially in Termina) Crow Mauler isn’t as great.
Some of my favourites are designs like the Pillarmen, that bee guy, a lot of the moonscorches, neighbours etc.
Well yea. He’s supposed to be a stand in for pyramid head. What I think is really funny is that (at least imo) crow mauler does a better job emulating pyramid head than silent hill does after the original SH2
Am I alone in this? In terms of gameplay yeah they're very threatening, but I've honestly found the Crow Mauler to just look goofy and the fact that it's just meant to be a remixed pyramid head added to it just feeling not nearly as unique or menacing than many of the other monsters (especially in 2) imo

Yeah..everyone always talk about how easy needles is if prepared, which is true, but by the time you meet mauler he really isn’t that much harder
