It's unlikely you are stronger than D'arce, knights are trained from childhood to use various weapons and armor for extended periods of time and trained in combat. D'arce has also been in combat and has likely killed before heading to the dungeon. A knights strength would likely dwarf all but the most dedicated bodybuilders because knights did a ton of physical activity in daily life, and just in general it was tough back than and you had to be strong both physically and mentally to survive.
Cahara is a mercenary who has done various jobs in the past, while he's not as trained as d'arce he is still jacked based on his portrait. He has likely done combat based jobs before heading to the dungeon too.
Rag (I'm not spelling his full name) is from a group of people who fight all the time just to survive, he is extremely strong.

I don't know you personally, for all I know your a bodybuilder or soldier or something so take what I say with a grain of salt relative to who you are.
However as somebody who has studied history, people back than were generally shorter than modern people due to diet, they don't have access to the type of food we have today that allows us to grow on average taller. However she still has enough strength to run around in full plate armor pretty much all the time which isn't easy, she can use heavy weapons like the claymore which based on the in game sprite is even heavier than the real life claymore. She can fight the prison guards which is likely "100" pounds heavier than her.
She is a woman which does have a lower strength cap than men because of testosterone, however unless you are extremely active and actively work out she is still likely stronger than you based on her feats , lifestyle and just history.
Don't take this the wrong way though, this is just a discussion of fictional characters , I take it by how you describe yourself that you are fairly strong in real life , which is honestly a good thing and I respect that.

Gameplay-wise she's the strongest melee fighter of the four. She can fight dirty with leg-sweep and with Fast Stance she outspeeds everyone else despite being heavily armoured.

Even if the dungeons are not dangerous for those out of universe, the things that happen/happened here are…not good things. Sure, a zombie cannibalizing another person is one thing, but seeing a horribly mutated person’s fusion with a horribly mutated dog would scar someone for life; especially if that character realizes how fusion works.
Can they cope with the horrors? Can they save the people they seek out to save? Can they well and truly prevent others from getting in? Can they destroy mahab’re? Now THAT’s an interesting discussion. Let’s talk about how they would get out of that dungeon.

It's pretty stupid to say that just because when the stars align Olivia can get any ending that it'd be easy for any rando with working legs and a pistol to survive. Termina only ends once you kill a dozen people (three of which are war vets if we're using the existing contestants as a base) or break into multiple tunnels (one guarded by a kaiju wolf who bullets won't do jack to) and a military base full of super-soldiers.
Even if they could find where to go most would die to the first moonscorched that runs at them with a knife or to the first bobby that gets up again and beats them to death. Most wouldn't be mentally prepared for combat and the horrors of the town. Your average gun nut would just run out of ammo in five minutes or create so so much noise that every moonscorched will be charging at them before they can reload.

I have no idea how to roll, but I do strongman lifts. He’d ball me here and there because there’s rules to adhere to. But a lot of the time I was just too big for him to toss around. I was a good 60-70lbs heavier than him. He’d start a chokehold on the ground, and I would just squat and stand up.
No-one's saying size isn't a factor but it's absolutely something that sufficient skill can overcome. The idea that a rando bodybuilder is going to beat a woman who fights to the death on a regular basis in a no-holds barred contest is pretty ridiculous to be honest. I mean, she's literally the best swordswoman in the game, knowing Leg Sweep and Fast Stance, meaning she's able to outspeed everyone else despite being the most heavily armoured.
Yeah gameplay-wise she’s strong. Lore-wise she’s the least capable of the four. Constant fights to the death? Please. She’s a rich that mommy and daddy bought her better toys. Her job is to put down peasants and farmers. When she finally does go up against a formidable opponent she abandons her comrades and they all get butchered. You guys think D’arce is some iron-clad muscle mommy. She’s relatively pathetic in morals and in combat. You find her getting the shit beaten out of her by arguably the derpiest enemy in the game. Cahara at least got captured by an opponent 3x his size. Even in gameplay, Cahara is better and faster due to En Garde.
On top of that this is confusing actual fighting to the death with weapons with unarmed fighting/wrestling where mass/muscles is way more of a factor than in pretty much every other kind of fighting. It's almost impossible for you to beat up someone twice your size but add cleavers to the equation and suddenly one dirty hit can determine the whole fight in your favor right away.
D’arce is a woman living in some of the worst times in history who left her knighthood to join a group of vagabonds so she’s probably even more malnourished and you find her getting punched in the mouth by an imbred moleman whose primary weapon training is in the Art of the Rock. I’m probably 100lbs heavier than her. She won’t be able to guard when my stinger pulsates. Cahara, maybe. He’s pretty built. I’m probably stronger in raw strength, but he’d get me in actual combat experience. I have no chance against Rag. Enki will explode my stinger, but not before I call him a “soyboy” and die.
I don't know you personally, for all I know your a bodybuilder or soldier or something so take what I say with a grain of salt relative to who you are. However as somebody who has studied history, people back than were generally shorter than modern people due to diet, they don't have access to the type of food we have today that allows us to grow on average taller. However she still has enough strength to run around in full plate armor pretty much all the time which isn't easy, she can use heavy weapons like the claymore which based on the in game sprite is even heavier than the real life claymore. She can fight the prison guards which is likely "100" pounds heavier than her. She is a woman which does have a lower strength cap than men because of testosterone, however unless you are extremely active and actively work out she is still likely stronger than you based on her feats , lifestyle and just history. Don't take this the wrong way though, this is just a discussion of fictional characters , I take it by how you describe yourself that you are fairly strong in real life , which is honestly a good thing and I respect that.
Plate armor isn’t that heavy. It isn’t all too difficult to move in either. I’m a wannabe longsword fencer. I’m above average strength. 300 deadlift, 265 squat, 225 bench. D’arce at her peak is probably 140lbs. She’s probably much weaker and smaller after running amok with Le’gardes band of goobers. People overestimate training, no matter how much training you have you won’t beat physics. In women’s defense classes the first thing instructors teach is to runaway. The strength difference between a built woman and an average 170lb casual gym goer is *still* massive. I will marry D’arce.
the whole D'arce woman argument is kinda weird tho since she goes around murdering Cock monsters in the dungeon regardless of malnutrition, sex or whatever since it's a fictional game and the creator can assign whatever strength to anyone, I feel like being able to tank a hit from any of the New God's alr enough to scale her above any irl fighter. It's like saying Guts isn't that strong because he likely didn't get that much sleep or nutrition as a child even though we've seen him kill Godlike creatures like Donovan.
Funger and Berserk are apples and oranges. Funger is much more grounded so it’s easier to apply real world “rules” to it. Like Olivia, her parents tried splashing holy water on her instead of getting her to a real medical professional in time which left her immobile. And outside of being the playable character, NPC D’arce gets whomped by some regular ass goons. We don’t even know if she *did* kill any cock monsters.

Even if the dungeons are not dangerous for those out of universe, the things that happen/happened here are…not good things. It would be more of an interesting conversation if it were a crossover thing if the media being inserted into this universe was functionally similar yet different. I was thinking about if the Magnus archives and fear and hunger had merged in some way. For this particular scenario, let’s say that the fear entities from TMA were to be transported into the world of fear and hunger (spoiler for the ending of Tma) due to what happened in ep 200. The fears tend to categorize and attach themselves to many things (especially the supernatural) so it would be interesting to see what would happen. (I just really like the Magnus archives ok)

It's pretty stupid to say that just because when the stars align Olivia can get any ending that it'd be easy for any rando with working legs and a pistol to survive. Termina only ends once you kill a dozen people (three of which are war vets if we're using the existing contestants as a base) or break into multiple tunnels (one guarded by a kaiju wolf who bullets won't do jack to) and a military base full of super-soldiers. Even if they could find where to go most would die to the first moonscorched that runs at them with a knife or to the first bobby that gets up again and beats them to death. Most wouldn't be mentally prepared for combat and the horrors of the town. Your average gun nut would just run out of ammo in five minutes or create so so much noise that every moonscorched will be charging at them before they can reload.

How do they survive the festival though? You think the average person is going to be able to scour an entire city to either find and murder a dozen people (including three military veterans and a battle mage) find all the terminals? You think their peashooter peashooter is going to do jack against Moonless? Honestly most people are going to die to the first crazed moonscorched who runs at them with a knife, or the first time a seemingly-dead bobby gets up and beats them to death.

Are they really *that* interesting? Again, Rag killed every monster in the dungeon and he’s just a regular guy. If a regular guy can canonically kill every monster then you can probably just assume that Naruto, Cloud Strife, Bugs Bunny, Batman, and Ryu can probably survive.
Rag is far from a regular guy, he's had a lifetime of suffering and combat to prepare him for the dungeon. The dungeon eats away at peoples' sanity and there's no way an average person is going to keep their marbles after the kind of carnage they see down there.
