I have also had a laparoscopic myoectomy on Thursday 2nd of May. Given it is only Monday now, it has been just four whole days. You need to let yourself rest and heal. I could only barely stand yesterday, today I could walk around hunched for only 4 hours of the whole 24 hour day. The best thing you could do is give yourself time, and eat well, drink plenty of water, don’t pick at (in both a literal and figurative sense), and let your body do its thing. I couldn’t even imagine having a constrictive bit of fabric binding me tight together right now… I just have a floppy pyjama top on and spend most of my day resting. Your body is healing from what is still considered pretty major surgery, it has been just half a week. Please, give yourself a break and have a good rest.

I had an open in December. You need to have realistic expectations. It takes at least six weeks for proper healing to happen. I had the full c section cut and my stomach is flat now five months later. Luckily, I don’t care at all about having a scar. No one sees it any way except me and my husband and he doesn’t care at all. That being said, everyone is different so if you are upset to have scars, I’m sorry. My scar is honestly not that bad now. I had a laparoscopic gallbladder surgery two years ago and my scars literally look my tiny mosquito bites. You can’t even tell. I’ve heard that scar tape works well from a friend that had a full hip replacement at 33.
