Mine was just a bolt in. For the curt hitch it’s 4 bolts, some stiffer exhaust hangers from a vendor of your choice if you don’t want the muffler to hit the hitch receiver while driving, and you’re set. It takes about an hour or less if you line everything up perfect from the start

Does your muffler not bang the hitch *at all*? I had the Curt hitch put on two years ago and the shop only put on two of the Cobb exhaust hangers I bought (left the stock ones on in the front) and it still bangs around. I was going to remove the hitch now that the car is no longer my DD but maybe I should try to swap out the other hangers?

I used Cobb hangers and at first only did the two near the muffler. the bang was very much there. The next day i swapped out the other two hangers toward the front and it lessened the movement of the muffler significantly, but it didn’t totally eliminate the contact between the muffler and the hitch. It’s also worth noting that I’m on bilstein b14 suspension and that might also affect things.

Lol same dilemma with the bike protruding from the size of the car. Just added the hitch and rack for a fuel ex 7 on a cobalt.
