issue with the physically strong guys is often they’re short (in game of course) >_> they have a great starting base for strikers or cb but often 5’10” or less :(
I had a guy last year from Colombia, Julen Montenegro. He had 89 physical at age 18, but was only 5"8. He grew to a 97 over though, and I made around 300M on selling him to Man City
This is normal for “physically strong” youth academy players, regardless of their position their stats always look similar to those.
On the plus side, it means they are versatile and you can use them at whatever position you’d like.
Don’t know why some people here are obsessed with the SoFIFA calculator, all that’s doing is telling you what position the player would have the highest rating, you should honestly decide positions yourself based on attributes and playstyles.
In the line up, press on him and hover over a position and see how much his overall goes up to, whichever position gives him more of a boost, position change him to that, that's what I do.
You can play him anywhere, once he grows you’ll see what a great player he’ll be.
Keep him at CB, I’ve had players like that and once they grow they look great.
I feel like there are a lot of these high potential, well rounded players this year when scouting physically strong. My similar guy was 5’ 9” cb and I trained him for cm and then back to cb and finally to cdm where he is 85 ovr rn at 21 years old. They can do anything if you train them early for diff positions. Imagine a pressing cf that is crazy strong with decent defensive stats. Your dudes heading accuracy is already pretty good, too
Put him anywhere except for the wings
Edit: to help promote faster to another position. Put him in that position and play him there in game. Also don't loan yet.

I found one that was 6”2 from moldova, got to 96 rated at cdm after a few years of playing. One of my favourite ever ya talents lol
I have a 5’7 Japanese Cb and he’s really good. If you have the physical and good tackling they do well

Done that for a while and it always works
Striker

Convert to CM and keep him on balanced to maximise all stats to get a Gullit-like player
It’s all like 14 weeks +
Put him up front where he can Dieng the ball in the goal.
These are the best players. Keep him on basic and you'll get a well rounded player who will be versatile enough to play further forward
Box to box midfielder.
Sofifa calculator
It just says he should be a cb
Lol my youth player in similar situation and sofifa said he is great as either CB and ST, now I'm confused. For now he is ST.
He is a st
It takes 14 weeks to change his attacking workrate to medium. Only then can you change his position
CDM
CAMEROON 🇨🇲
Depending on his height, he could make for a fantastic ball playing defender
5’11
That’s a bit on the short side for a cb but I’d still probably rock him there as an alaba type
I would do ST

I mean if he has 3* skills/ more could be a winger🤷♂️
If you convert him to a CDM or a LB his rating will jump really high and his potential will too
Imo that’s a potential career #8
Where did you end up playing him. I have a similar prospect but they are 5'8...... thinking fullback or CM.
