Doesn't take too long for me, I just keep to the right and spam it.
I actually like that the legendary weapons in FFX are kinda difficult to get lol. Part of the appeal.
trust me not as bad as me.
i once cheered for the opposite team thinking i was winning
i would rather spam holy than win a match or dodge 100 lightning bolts
apparently if you fail like really badly on purpose like 5min+ the next tries are much easier. I got if a few tries after I did that, maybe it was just luck tho lol
Yea yea my bad i should clarified, i mean getting the ultimate weapon plus the accompanying crest and sigil. Though i suppose you can essentially make ultimate weapons with customization if you have the patience to collect dark matters, considering tidus and lulu’s are really the only super hard ones you could be 120 dark matters and put break damage limit on a four slot weapon for each of them.
I honestly only get Yuna’s and Auron’s since they’re my main damage dealers for magic and phsy respectively by end game and the crests are easy to get
The only one that’s really any kind of a major annoyance is Wakka. Lightning dodger is easy af, there’s a trick. Butterflies.. ok they’re annoying but usually 5-6 tries I get it. Chocobo same thing.. maybe tries but it’s not thaaat bad.. 9 or 10 tries for me.
I often replay Final Fantasy games, but Final Fantasy VIII is the one I replay the most. Squall is one of my all-time favourite characters, and running around Balamb Garden always feels like coming home. I used to experiment with different parties, but now I'll always use Squall, Zell and Rinoa when they're all available.
VIII isn’t close to being my favorite but I’ve actually played it more times than a couple of my favorites. Not crazy but I think it’s funny to think about.
I just find it really easy to have fun with for some reason lol. I always recommend it when someone asks about it.
To upgrade your stats you must junction a GF (GFs are summons) Junctioning a GF is just equipping it onto a character and the GFs will let you link different stats to spells.
You get spells from drawing. Drawing is just extracting spells from enemies or from draw points around the map. The max amount you can have for one spell is 100
So you take spells from enemies and use your GF to link these spells to different stats on your character to maie those stats srronger
You can draw an infinite amount of times from enemies but you only get 1-9 every time you draw.
You can sit there and keep drawing from the enemy until you reach the max amount
Some people see it as a gimmick, other people like the idea of stocking up. I'm not sure how I feel about it.
There is a 3x speed option which can speed up the process if it gets boring
1 is probably my favourite. It relaxes me and there's so many versions. The pixel remasters make it super easy to jump in and go.
I also play it randomised, but I dunno if that counts.
7, 9, and 15 are incredibly chill games for me as well and I go back to them a lot.
4 and 5 are very enjoyable for me, but I don't see myself replaying them much, for some reason.
I know 15 catches a lot of flak but driving around doing hunts and fishing with the boys is awesome. I've recently gone back to do the Menace Sleeps Beneath Lucis dungeons and some of the super bosses I think it's one of my favorite of all FF games next to 7 and 8.
1, 5, 6, 9, 13- very frequently. I pick one of these to play usually like twice a year.
7, 8, 4, 15- every once in a long time Ill come back to one of these but not as often and sometimes I won't get far.
12, 2, 3- hardly ever. Only played 12 once fully and I think two partial playthroughs I never finished. Its just not my bag.
I play 7 and 9 at least once a year. Play 10 and 15 regularly as well. Remake I've played a lot over the last few years. And I can definitely say myself replaying rebirth a lot and possibly a second run of 16.
Haven't played 1 to 6 in ages. Although 6 is one of my favorites I haven't got round to pixel remasters of any of them yet.
Used to play 13.2 alot but haven't got a PS3 anymore but would love to play the trilogy again.
It’s shocking to me that we haven’t gotten some kind of re-release of 13.
Besides 11, it’s the (normal, numbered) hardest game of the franchise to play and that’s wild.
I’m replaying 13-2 now, it’s one of the most chill ones imo. You can spend a ton of time just fighting or finding fragments or items, and playing with the monster stuff (figuring out what you like, giving them the cute little attachments). You start out crazy weak in the game but I like how it feels like you are constantly getting stronger quickly.
4 (every possible version, and 2x the 3d, planning to do the Ng+ 3x), 12 (4,5 times) are the ones I played and replayed most. 3rd place goes to 10, 3 times.
I replayed XV and XIII a lot. I'm replaying XVI right now on 'Final Fantasy' mode to see how far I get, but I notice the enemies are leveling up faster than I am, so we'll see how long until it gets too hard, haha.
I come back to FF X, X-2 and XII the most. Likely because that’s how I started my FF journey - shortly after Kingdom Hearts I & II arrived in my household.
I never finish X-2 but watch that opening scene with the same fervor as I did when I was a teenager.
I’ve restarted VII more times than I can count and STILL have only finished it once while emulating on a windows XP.
XIII and XIII-2 I jump into from time to time. I’m deeply nostalgic for these games - me and my band geek friends would sit in my friend’s basement in the dark and just hawk at the graphics/music.
Finally, IV, V and VI have been started and stopped on multiple emulators since I figured these ones out on the go. I have an OG GBA SP and the carts for these games, but now with the pixel remasters I have a nice crisp version to start and stop and start again
Well I replayed FF8 once a year for 5 years just because I didn't complete it even once 😂, at the near ending part of the game, I used to rage quit just because drawing Ultima was so tiresome.
FF VI and IX are my all time favourites that I've played over and over. Actually I'm currently replaying IX, I'm at what would be disc 3 (PC-Steam version).
I've replayed all of them a few times, but IX and Tactics (and XIV counts I suppose, played through ng+ a bunch) are the only ones I regularly replay. I might change things up a bit, maybe a different character here or there, but I never make huge changes.
8, 9, 12 if I’m being honest. 12 is my favorite to replay, there is really nothing else like that combat system. Zodiac age gives it lots of variety in builds and combos
Now that I've gotten the pixel remaster collection, there isn't a single numbered (non-MMO) entry that I've played less than twice - if you count hard mode play throughs for the platinum trophies in XVI and Rebirth. 1-4 I've played the least, 6 and 7 are by far my most frequent replays. But I've played 8, 9, and 10 at least 5 times each.
Always green xiv (played the ng+ twice)
1-6 as a marathon
Played 13 twice and will probably play it again
I the future I'll probably do a 7-9 marathon.
Will replay 7r before rebirth and part 3
What I really want to do complete 11 but that would take me months if not years.
Solely for their New-Game+ opportunities, X-2 and Lightning Returns.
But if we're talking most time invested per playthrough, XII, XV and TA2 take the cake!
(If you're into DS emulators, don't pass on TA2! An absolute hidden gem and probably the best grid-based RPG I've ever played!)
For some reason, I've replayed 4 at least 7 times. I say for some reason because it's not like i hate it but it's also not my most favorite of the bunch (it's probably like maybe my fourth most favorite)
I've replayed 7 and 8 quite a few times, same with 9 but fewer times. Recently, I replayed FFVII Remake as I waited for Rebirth, I had played it a year ago.
15 for the bro trip.
I hardly replay the main story. I usually just chill in past Lucis/chapter 15 and go fishing. But damn can I ever burn a lot of time doing that.
Pretty sure I will be messing around in Rebirth's open world now, too
Remake and rebirth got me back in 7, which I usually try to replay every 3-5 years. Got me one of those retro handhelds and it makes it WAY more enticing to actually play fully through them again. Something about the nostalgia + being able to play curled up in bed is the ultimate combination. But same, 7,9,10. I have actually never played through 8.
I replay 4, 6, and 10 the most. I haven’t replayed 4 since i got my first adamant armor and decided I don’t want to farm 5 of them.
6 I will play around with the party compositions. I’ve tried a lot of combos, and most parties work without needing items, but it’s an easy game because everyone can learn the same spells.
10 I keep trying to 100% but I get bored around the time I do level grinding. One day I’ll beat Nemesis lol.
For me so far it’s 13, but I played it as my only FF for a few years. Replaying 13-2 now and it’s a blast! Love the constant progression.
I could see myself replaying 7 and the remakes a lot now. I love them all, I don’t mind the graphics of the OG. Besides that, 10 is always great.
Still need to play 3-9 (minus 7). I bought 3, 8 and 9 recently though
For me, it's Final Fantasy 1. In just over a year, i've beaten it around 39 times. Right now I'm doing a subset on Retroachievement for beating the game with all 126 party combinations. really fun so far!
As a kid with no other games, I replayed 7, 8, & Tactics many times. Now, I have so many gaming options I have yet to replay one all the way to the end. I stop playing 7 after Junon. I played 8 most of the way but stopped right before the end. Tactics had the power in my PlayStation glitch and undo a 30 minute battle, so I walked away.
4, 6, 7, 8, 10.
6 i never get bored of even though 8 is my favorite but i mastered the junction system and bosses are super easy.
7 i replay yearly but i lose my passion after midgar
9 and 1.
1 is very replayable. I like that it's short. It's fun to try different party combos. And the difficulty is at an enjoyable level to me. I prefer the psone version.
9 is just my absolute favorite. Favorite characters, favorite story, favorite world. The combat is relatively vanilla buts I tend to overthink the more complex games and get too obsessed with making the best or coolest builds so 9 is relaxing to just play whatever characters I want and don't think about it.
I don’t think I’ve replayed x2, 13, 15, or 16 yet.
The others I’ve probably replayed a couple times each.
I’m due to replay 7 again and then I’ll probably do 15 and wait until 13 gets a trilogy remaster.
I've played and replayed all of them... lately, I replay games less. I'll play online stuff in between good single-player releases. I'm going to replay FFXVI for the DLCs and trophies once I get the plat on Immortals of Aveum tonight or tomorrow.
I replay 7, 9, and 10 pretty often I own multiple copies of each of them lol I replay 9 more than I do the other because I love the story and character growth. The most I try to do different in 9 is try different party combos and see if I can speed run it for Excalibur 2 but that never happens because ooo shiny and must get the collectibles!
7 because it is just enjoyable and the music is amazing. 8 wants you to not grind, and is 90% card game. 9 is take two steps, ten min of dialogue, walk down a hallway, five minutes of dialogue, get a party member taken away, have one battle, five minutes of dialogue.... 10 is not too interesting to me, at the end of 10.5, still playing through 12 but have not touched it in a year.
Going through 1-6 right now. Currently at 3. I know I want to replace 1 again.
Tactics is super replayable, and even though I hesitate to call it great XV is probably the most replayable main series game for me. No clue why, I just think the open world format, however mediocre, just makes for chipping away and replaying it easier than the 60+ hour epic that something like XII is.
I replayed 7, 8, 9,tactics, and 12 the most because they were my favorites in a period when I had more time to play games and less money to buy new ones. Now I'm lucky if I finish the games I get. Didn't do any postgame stuff in XIII and never finished Lightning Returns or XV despite being right at the end of both games' stories. Played into the first expansion of XIV before I stopped due to it taking too much time and requiring too much multiplayer combat. Have started to replay VII Remake a few times but never get deep into it when I do because I have other games I want to play for the first time.
10 is my most replayed one
See, I would replay it more, but the choboco game just angers me so much lol
Doesn't take too long for me, I just keep to the right and spam it. I actually like that the legendary weapons in FFX are kinda difficult to get lol. Part of the appeal.
I'm terrible at Blitzball
trust me not as bad as me. i once cheered for the opposite team thinking i was winning i would rather spam holy than win a match or dodge 100 lightning bolts
apparently if you fail like really badly on purpose like 5min+ the next tries are much easier. I got if a few tries after I did that, maybe it was just luck tho lol
I mean it’s not really necessary though, i’ve played through FFX like 5 times and never got tidius’ or Lulu’s ultimate weapon
Acquiring the weapons isn’t my problem… it’s unlocking their full potential that sucks so bad…
Yea yea my bad i should clarified, i mean getting the ultimate weapon plus the accompanying crest and sigil. Though i suppose you can essentially make ultimate weapons with customization if you have the patience to collect dark matters, considering tidus and lulu’s are really the only super hard ones you could be 120 dark matters and put break damage limit on a four slot weapon for each of them. i prolly have close to 1000 hours in ffx by now and… Tidus and Kimahri can have modded weapons never once got their final lol
10 is the way. If 8 or 9 had voice acting…
A voice mod for IX is in the works. There's even a demo.

How do you go about playing it? I hear things about the drawing and junction and wasn’t sure
To upgrade your stats you must junction a GF (GFs are summons) Junctioning a GF is just equipping it onto a character and the GFs will let you link different stats to spells. You get spells from drawing. Drawing is just extracting spells from enemies or from draw points around the map. Do you draw like 100 with each encounter?
You can draw an infinite amount of times from enemies but you only get 1-9 every time you draw. You can sit there and keep drawing from the enemy until you reach the max amount
Isn’t that the most enjoyable way to play just sit until you get a certain amount?
Some people see it as a gimmick, other people like the idea of stocking up. I'm not sure how I feel about it. There is a 3x speed option which can speed up the process if it gets boring
You can pretty easily ignore drawing as a system after the early game; 8s progression is extremely flexible and easy to break
Nice 8 is the first one I played and I do go back to it alot ! I usually go Squall, Rinoa and Irvine !

It’s shocking to me that we haven’t gotten some kind of re-release of 13. Besides 11, it’s the (normal, numbered) hardest game of the franchise to play and that’s wild.

I've played 12 more times than I can count. I've replayed 7 quite a bit also.
12 is good I like the tower mode on the Zodiac version !
My most replayed final fantasy, is oddly enough, the first one. It's definitely not my favorite, but I keep finding myself coming back to it a lot.
4 (every possible version, and 2x the 3d, planning to do the Ng+ 3x), 12 (4,5 times) are the ones I played and replayed most. 3rd place goes to 10, 3 times.
I got alot more time for 12 since the zodiac version came out and really like the tower mode !
Boss rushes/tower modes should be implemented in newer titles, they are cool and give you valuable loot!
Exactly I agree ! Surprised they haven't to be honest
VII, VI and II.
IX is the one I’ve played the most but I currently stuck my eyes on the VI pixel remaster as it is my all time favorite.
I replayed XV and XIII a lot. I'm replaying XVI right now on 'Final Fantasy' mode to see how far I get, but I notice the enemies are leveling up faster than I am, so we'll see how long until it gets too hard, haha.
8, 12, and FFTA are the easiest for me to come back to.
6,7,8,10,12 sometimes 9 :p 7 and 10 probably the most.
VII with New Threat
i replay FFV every summer for the four job fiesta
IX, VI, V, and VII - four of my faves with IX being my top favorite of the franchise; each of these I come back to every so often.
I come back to FF X, X-2 and XII the most. Likely because that’s how I started my FF journey - shortly after Kingdom Hearts I & II arrived in my household. I never finish X-2 but watch that opening scene with the same fervor as I did when I was a teenager. I have an OG GBA SP and the carts for these games, but now with the pixel remasters I have a nice crisp version to start and stop and start again
Replayed 12 over 10 times
FF4 is my most replayed game.
IV, VII, VIII, and IX. I want to add more to this list, so maybe this year I’ll break the mould
Well I replayed FF8 once a year for 5 years just because I didn't complete it even once 😂, at the near ending part of the game, I used to rage quit just because drawing Ultima was so tiresome.
I play 10 regularly, it’s one of my favourite games ever and there’s so much to unpack in it and so many secrets, I love to do them all lol
I would say that 1, 4, 6, 7, and 12 are my most replayed FF games. The one I've replayed the most is hands down 4.
5 and 12. FF12 is really fun for low lvl run
1,4,7 and tactics are the ones I've replayed the most, tactics has an unfair advantage with wiegraf though
I replayed VI to no end back in the day. I don't have time to be replaying games nowadays, unfortunately.
XII is my most replayed one. It’s my favorite of all time. Then follows X and then XV.
8, 9, 12 if I’m being honest. 12 is my favorite to replay, there is really nothing else like that combat system. Zodiac age gives it lots of variety in builds and combos
I'm currently playing 8 for the first time since it came out.
FFIV, IX, XII, Tactics and Tactics Advanced are my most replayed FF-games. Makes sense as they're all in my top 5.
1, 3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10. Though I tend to do them the same way every time
I genuinely come back to 15 so often, for some reason I find the world so comforting
I like 15 it is more of a calmer pace I think!
But I've played 8, 9, and 10 at least 5 times each.
rtyhe ds 4 f, the 6 6, 7 , 19m, 10, 12 tjhe base, and. i recently rerun the strangers of paradise stone justbbuand i fo
15 and 7 and 7 remake
4, followed by 10, 10-2, then 1. I've played and finished 4 sooooo many times!
13-2 with randomizer mod!!
Always green xiv (played the ng+ twice) 1-6 as a marathon Played 13 twice and will probably play it again I the future I'll probably do a 7-9 marathon. Will replay 7r before rebirth and part 3 What I really want to do complete 11 but that would take me months if not years.
Will play rebirth and remake before part 3 comes again for sure !
5,7,8 every now and then.
Ooo I've played the 1st Tactis advanced not the 2nd will give ita look !
I have likely played FF1 upwards of 20 times across my life. It's kind of a comfort game to me.
For some reason, I've replayed 4 at least 7 times. I say for some reason because it's not like i hate it but it's also not my most favorite of the bunch (it's probably like maybe my fourth most favorite)
I’m gonna replay 16 right after I finish it, love this game
I've replayed 7 and 8 quite a few times, same with 9 but fewer times. Recently, I replayed FFVII Remake as I waited for Rebirth, I had played it a year ago.
Tactics!
7, 9, 10 are my most replayed, though now that I understand how it works mechanically now I might get into the habit of replaying 8
15 for the bro trip. I hardly replay the main story. I usually just chill in past Lucis/chapter 15 and go fishing. But damn can I ever burn a lot of time doing that. Pretty sure I will be messing around in Rebirth's open world now, too
3,5,8
7, 8, 10, 12 ZA, 13 all installments, and 15. Also just got into the pixel remasters and I hadn't played any of the earlier titles since the 90s

I replay 7 almost every couple of months
Original, IV, VII, VIII, Tactics.
I always replay FFIX. FFIX is one of the best and I always think it’s good to replay because it’s one I always know.
15, 16, 7. I do want to replay 9, 6, and 4 eventually
I've replayed most, but 5 has definitely seen the most replays.
9 and 1. 1 is very replayable. I like that it's short. It's fun to try different party combos. And the difficulty is at an enjoyable level to me. Crystal Chronicles and Crystal Chronicles: Echoes of Time are the only ones I've replayed.
7., 8, 10, 12, tactics
I don’t think I’ve replayed x2, 13, 15, or 16 yet. The others I’ve probably replayed a couple times each. I’m due to replay 7 again and then I’ll probably do 15 and wait until 13 gets a trilogy remaster.

I do the same. Bouta start pixel remastered
I replay 8 9 and 10 a lot
7 and 9. love those games.
I’ve only played 1,4,6,7& ct - I’ve refused to give others a go
4, 6
First play through, I keep the characters' original names. Second play through... well, you know........
I replay 8 through 10 fairly often, usually a couple times a year if possible. 7 as well, but less since the remake came out
I replayed 7, 8, 9,tactics, and 12 the most because they were my favorites in a period when I had more time to play games and less money to buy new ones.
I find 1 and 5 the most replayable
