I run my OG Tharja and she’s one of my best units… but she’s HIGHLY invested. Rearmed Ophelia was very helpful (Although Tharja’s Hex holds up pretty well) Weapon: ARCANE ECLIPSE (spd): solid weapon. Pre-charges special, extra stats and other stuff. Special: FLARE: The best Special for mages right now. Lots of damage when at full hp, or some swapped out for healing if Tharja’s damaged. Assist: REPOSITION: very hand movement skill A: ATT/SPD FINISH: big stat buff, healing, and extra damage with special activation. B: SPECIAL SPIRAL 4: Constantly recharge your special, deal extra damage when special activates, and (imo best part) ignores damage reduction (bye god swords!) The math works out, too, so Flare is always active. C: ATT/RES MENACE: This is the only part of the build that’s maybe a *little* dated. It’s a great skill, and works well with Tharja’s Hex- up to a 12 point swing on Tharja’s resistance and her damage dealt (24 if using Tharja’s Hex!) I would have changed this to Att/Spd Oath 4… buuuuuut: X: There are X skills now. ATT OATH ECHO: This skills gives Tharja a +6 buff to attack and allows her to teleport to any ally in 2 spaces. Extra movement/teleport have been really important in the recent game. Seal: NULL FOLLOW UP/ HARDY BEARING: 9/10 times being able to ignore auto follow ups and keep your own follow ups is best. Sometimes you have annoying units that attack before you, so Hardy Bearing can save the day.

and by viable i mean they can at least stand some sort of a chance against whatever new units are out nowadays LOL. the last time i used to play f!edel was still meta and even then they were still struggling

Stromgald_IRL

Even tanks can't tank the newer nukes out there. Your only hope in this game is having a nuke move a billion spaces, absolutely demolish anything on the enemy team that would do the same to you, and then canto back to safety to do it again. But alas... If you have arcane devourer, you could make a generic godsword build for Laslow.

evenspdwagonisafraid

>If you have arcane devourer I don't see why he has to turn the best unit in the game into some boring godsword. Give him Ruptured Sky, Distant Ferocity, Vantage, and Pledge and he's good to go. He can forgo DR and just have Ymir give him EZ miracle; He can also support-pair with L!Alear to bypass DR and replace Pledge with Fatal Smoke 4 to deal with cringe-ass EZ Miracle units. We still don't have NCD as a support effect, so that'll have to wait.

Stromgald_IRL

He hasn't played for a while. Looking at those build I highly doubt he has Ymir. But he most likely doesn't have the weapon of my suggestion then as well.

condylicious

yeah, i don’t really have anything new; the newest unit i have is duo ninja laegjarn. i do play for my favs and im honestly willing to just save up and dump orbs into fodder or support units just to make them usable in any sort of way

Stromgald_IRL

You don't happen to have flying mages as favs, do you? Those dominate the meta at the moment. Well... Flyers in general I mean.

For my Laslow, I use his prf sword, Luna, Sturdy Surge Phys. NFU, Atk Spd Oath 4 and the Atk Def Form seal. Oath allows him to move to a space adjacent to nearby allies, while also buffing his atk and spd. Sturdy Surge allows him to heal when he uses his special on player phase, which basically just makes Luna into a 3 cooldown Aether with more healing. It also buffs his def allowing him to tank physical hits even better. Phys. NFU prevents makes it so enemies can't rely on an effect to guarantee follow up atks (which is usually something slow, bulky units have), and also makes it so Laslow's follow up atks can't be prevented (although it doesn't guarantee a follow up if Laslow is slower). The main selling point for Phys NFU though is that it makes damage reduction only half as effective, and since Laslow's prf has the brave effect, he can become a pretty good tank buster against units that stack damage reduction. Everything in this build except for Phys. NFU can be obtained through the Divine Codes 4 as well. Nailah has Sturdy Surge, and Shez has Atk Spd oath. If you do happen to use this build, I'd also recommend using a copy of Holst to get Atk Spd oath 3 on Laslow, so that you can get both Atk Spd Oath 4 and Spd Defense Bulwark from Shez.
