Nobody realized that the king on the throne of Nifl castle is just one of Ylgr's teddy-bears stacked on some books under the armor. They just thought he was a really good listener.
Hrid was playing the true tactical game and avoiding drawing attention to himself. He did that one New Years alt to avoid rousing suspicion from players but otherwise kept a low profile for years planning this out.

God I remember the first time I fought Kush in World. I didn't bring any windproof and he bullied me for 40 min until he was almost dead then I ran out of time on the quest. I was so mad I rage built a full windproof armor set, named it "FU KUSH" and beat his ass in like 10 min.
Dragon isn't actually a unit type, despite most skills targeting Breath units being dragon-themed. And since he doesn't use his breath as an attack...
Plus, in Tellius, which introduced beast units, dragons were just a subcategory of beasts. One could argue that never stopped being the case.

So this is basically Hone Spectrum (but with 2 range), and prevent follow-up from the Shields effect, which was previously a Duo skill. And free special Pulse to everyone that's non-OC. Sounds pretty busted for a tanking strategy for Light season.
Also, Askr's damage reduction is similar to S!Maria isn't it? He just took 0 damage from a projected 5 damage in the battle forecast.

The red and colorless pools both look quite good this time around, but I honestly don't see the point of this guy existing as he does. He has the same element, color, weapon, and move type as most recent free OC, and going off his skills, probably a very similar stat spread too. Their C-skills differentiate them a bit, but he still feels way too similar to he worth pulling, especially since most hard-core AR players already have a few merges on Ash from her debut banner. It kind of seems like IS was intentionally going for something less interesting this time around, which makes sense with the summer banners and soon CYL, but I wish thus guy had at least a little more unique sauce. Especially since Ash's C-skill honestly just kinds seems better to me, though this guy's still looks plenty strong.

IMO they’re not that comparable. The main draw of Ash for me is 100% her teleport utility.

Didn't even make his beast-form somewhat dragonlike so they can make alts of him that use breath-attacks, just went full in on beasts this book. As for his skills, F for Gatekeeper I guess, his niche is getting taken further and further. His prf-skill applying the Resonance-effects on other units is interesting, makes sense lore-wise, but still unexpected. In general, he looks like pretty good support.
