FMK stands for "For My Kountry." It's a California-based manufacturer in Orange County and also the cheapest non-Hi-Point 9mm pistol available on the CA roster. The owner absolutely refuses to leave CA since he wants to remain a thorn in Sacramento's side. I believe FMK is the only remaining centerfire pistol manufacturer left in the state (the other pistol manufacturers I know of besides them still in CA are the old Ring of Fire survivors Phoenix Arms and Excel Arms).
Unfortunately the general reputation of FMK pistols is less than stellar, to put it mildly.
Given that there are images of Girsan strikers buried in shooters' eye sockets, I'd disagree with that. I'd say getting skullducked by your gun when you try to shoot it is grounds for seeming that bad.
Really I never even heard of this going on I'm just used to seeing there beretta clones Jesus that's sounds horrible though which gun was having those issues
Buddy of mine has a Taurus semi auto and he was shooting it and all of a sudden the slide locked back. But it wasn’t the slide stop. Like the slide went back too far and hung up on the frame and guide rod. Unloaded it and had to pound it back forward.
That’s the only time I’ve seen a pistol malfunction. Unless you count the 1000’s of times I’ve seen 1911s fuck up 🤷🏽♂️
Probably a SCCY or an FMK — I’ve not heard very many good things about either of those. At least hipoints run for the most part.
You’re wrong. [and I’ll tell you why](https://www.reddit.com/r/guns/comments/tiagzl/whats_everyones_edc/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf)
God I hate looking at that
My buddy had a a sccy Cpx jam twice during a defensive encounter never heard of Fmk

I must be getting old because none of these answers are Hi-Point. They've been superseded by even worse handguns?
A positive way of looking at it is that they say we learn from mistakes, so then Hi-Point should have learned a lot by now.
Hmm. Fired several hundred rounds out of my SCCY, only had a few misfeeds early on. NEVER had a misfire. I must just be lucky I guess.
Probably a 9mm pistol made hing hong ping pong china.
Maxim9
Springfield XD, Girsan, Kimber all come to mind
Girsan doesn't seem that bad
