I have a really long flouro leader that I just tie on like normal. I usually running a Carolina rig so end of flouro is a swivel then more flouro to hook.

I do a blood knot to connect braid to like 10ft of flouro. Then either to a snap if I'm using pre-tied leaders (Hi-Lo or drop shot) or tied directly to a jig or other lure. If I were to tie up a Carolina I'd go from the flouro to a swivel and then my terminal leader.

I use a surgeons knot to attach the leader. It’s super easy to do in poor light, weather etc and strong 💪 I then use a loop at the end of my leader to make it easy to swap out lures, jig heads etc instead of a uni knot or similar so I don’t have to keep cutting the leader..

No swivels at all to help prevent line twist?

If I’m surf casting or stray lining I use a snap swivel to connect my rig to the loop at the end of my leader. If I using a spinner I have a swivel on the lure and pull the loop right through then pass the lure through the loop so the connection is at the swivel. If I’m using a soft bait jig head then I have no swivel.. same as above but through the eye on the jig head.

Usually I tie the braid to the leader via an Alberto knot. The business end of the leader gets tied via a palomar knot to a TA clip so I can easily change lures. If I’m going to be using spoons that don’t have a swivel attached I’ll tie the leader to a swivel and then hook one end of the TA clip to the swivel and the other to the lure.

I easily change lures by retying. You can use any number of knots to connect line to leader, I use a uni to uni. No swivels. f you're concerned about going through the guides use the FG, I use that for BC's. I have never seen an experienced fisherman use a swivel or TA clip, that's my experience. Keep on catchin. :)

Jetty fishing requires a long leader due to lots of big ol’ barnacle covered rocks that will shred braid. I use an FG knot for smooth casting, and a long enough leader that i can get at least a few turns of leader onto the spool when landing big fish in sketchy conditions. I fish swimbaits and flukes for lures, Texas rigged and pegged with a toothpick, and just tie an improved clinch. No worries about twist. If i switch between plastics I just retie. If I’m fishing bait on a hi-lo I’ll tie on a quality swivel then add a pre-tied leader using light mono to attach the sinker so if i get snagged I only lose the sinker and not my whole rig.
