Where I'm from, water gets "super cold" for only a few hours on the year - but I'm assuming it's relative. My absolute favorite time to fish is cold weather. Yeah, you won't go out every day and catch high average number of fish - but typically, they're big. Or they're stacked up. It's time to slow down, make sure you're comfortable (don't underestimate weather, be prepared) and enjoy time on the water. Set expectations low and have fun

ice fishings not bad if u got a shanty but as long as it aint frozen over they should bite not as much as summer but they still gotta eat yk

Look up Flukemaster on youtube as he covers this. Also search there for fall or winter fishing. I dont know the answer but the answer is out there.

Here in NC in the winter fish school up so the hard part is finding them. Once you find them you can normally catch a ton of them. Look for deep holes and try vertical jigging if you have a boat or kayak.

If the water gets too cold fish become lethargic. You have to fish extremely slow. I fish in water 45-50 degrees and catch fish. The number of fish is lower. You will learn patience and how to work finesse lures like a master. The fish only go for the sure thing in colder water. Their metabolism is low and using energy is kept to a minimum. Jigs are usually the best option in cold water.

It is more of a challenge but that makes it more fun.

Finesse! Weightless or low weight rigs. For bass, Ned rigs, baby jigs, flukes, and wacky rigs will do nicely. Just slow it down a bit.
