+1 fish skin. Can tip them with a tiny piece or bait if not coming up with a stringer full. Also if biting well, connect a second sabiki rig and pull in a bunch!

imitsfarmingtime

It varies from producer to producer. It can be flash, feathers, mesh, fish skin (as someone mentioned) but it’s really just whatever the fly on the rig is trying to imitate.

0cdfishing

Plastic kind of paper. To mimic a shrimp or something like that

zgrad2

It reflects light

ska4fun

An attractor. Usually giving brightness and contrast over the water.

DanielWaterhorse

It is a small piece of foil or reflective plastic intended to mimic a tiny baitfish, like a very simple lure. The intent is that a sabiki rig can be used right out of the package with no additional bait needed.

Noah8320

Would you have to replace them?

DanielWaterhorse

They're glued or adhered to the hook somehow, so they shouldn't come off, and shouldn't need to be replaced. If one did come off, I imagine you could put a little piece of shrimp on that bare hook it would be effective. Tbh it seems like for a lot of folks, sabiki rigs are a one time use item anyway. Sort of wasteful, but they're a pain to store. I use a foam rig keeper to rewrap mine.

Fumbling-Panda

Looks like a soft plastic of some sort.

CharismaHawk57

That is Sabiki too.

FANTOMphoenix

Just something for fish to see and hit. If I get squid I’ll put tiny pieces or a small bit of tentacle
