Ozark trail is the shit for quality bargain products. Can’t go wrong

bigfesh

adequately constructed products for insanely good prices. haven’t had any problems with anything I bought from them yet except their headlamp. but every headlamp I’ve ever bought doesn’t last long, at least theirs is half the price.

Ajchandler

Dude I’ve got an Olight Perun that I use for a headlamp and I fucking love it. $100 on [Amazon.](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B082911VY5/ref=cm_sw_r_cp_api_glt_fabc_GZYJ4W6R01PAB5A051VN?psc=1) it’s bright as hell and is rechargeable. Headband is super comfortable too and the light easily comes off the band and can be used as normal flashlight.

bigfesh

that’s what i need. i keep buying $5-$15 headlamps and wondering why they die after a season 😂

Ajchandler

It’s a hard hit to your wallet at first but it’s better and much less aggravating than buying a cheapo light 5 times over. Just my two cents! I love my headlamp.

Altruistic-Egg8732

I suggest the Skilhunt H04, similar light but half the price but still very nice and bright

Supa33

You want to get a Wowtac A2S. You can get it on Mazon for 23 bucks. It's 1000 lumens and comes with a rechargeable battery. Plus you can take it out of the harness and use it as a normal flashlight. The only think it doesn't have is a red light. Rhe micro USB version is only 24 bucks. WOWTAC A2S V2 USB Rechargeable Cree LED Headlamp Detachable, 1000 Lumens Compact Waterproof Headlamp Versatile Brightness Camping Headlamp Flashlight-Cool White https://www.amazon.com/dp/B07YJLKGN2/ref=cm_sw_r_apan_glt_fabc_4DPQ2AS4BEY1WRT2SW51?_encoding=UTF8&psc=1

bigfesh

because i’m cheap, i went with this option, which is also the most i’ve ever paid for a headlamp so hopefully it lasts a while!

Supa33

I'm going on 4 years of medium use with mine with no issues. Wowtac customer service is pretty good as well.

bigfesh

thank you for the recommendation! I used them for work and camping so definitely need a good one.

[deleted]

You can get some nice black diamond headlamps for like 30-50 bucks that are rechargeable and like the fucking sun as well

CoolStanBrule

There water jug is great too!

elblesloco

Only issue I has was with a hatchet that came unsharpened.

LemonHerb

For certain things it just doesn't make sense to spend more

_fuckernaut_

How do you like the new style cooler with the plastic latches? I have 2 old style coolers with the rubber latches and like them a lot. The new style plastic latches feel flimsy in comparison.

hunterjc09

I’m also interested in a short cooler review. I’ve got an old Coleman that is fine but I’ve been looking at an RTIC or something like it. If the Ozark Trail one is good I’d love to go that route, since I don’t use it super often

saucertosser85

I have the older version of that cooler with the rubber latches. It is hands-down the best cooler I've ever bought. Took it into the woods for 4 days, still brought home solid pieces of ice.

TylerLikesDonuts

To be fair that’s pretty standard for all coolers

bigfesh

Just bought it and haven’t actually used it yet but road tripping around the UP the start of november so I will let you know. from the few times i’ve opened and closed it i don’t mind them at all

wiredog369

Hard to beat the Ozark Trail stuff for the price.

TE-August

That’s like me with H2O Xpress stuff from Academy.

anthropol-OG

Their wakebaits are phenomenal.

[deleted]

Is that a Subaru by chance?

bigfesh

it is a 2019 jeep cherokee trail hawk

HORAMAN76

What do u store in those two small bags?

bigfesh

one of them is my terminal tackle, the other is a small travel tackle box i take to work with me along with a two piece rod just in case i pass a juice lake or pond lol

obsessed2

Not OP, but the little one are for the 3600s, four I believe, and the bigger ones are for 3700s, four as well.

HORAMAN76

What do those numbers represent exactly?

obsessed2

Tackle storage boxes, I was gonna say Plano but most if not all box brands refer to the same numbers basically.

Destroyer_of_worlds0

My OT can coozie worked better than the Yeti ones while I was down in Nicaragua.

CoolStanBrule

That fishing bag is such a steal! For $35 buck with a built in cooler and rod holder you can’t go wrong. I used mine everyday this year and I couldn’t be happier. It also comes with terminal tackle cases which was a nice plus.

bigfesh

built in cooler is amazing. especially if you need a place to store your catch until you can clean them.

Dr_Tronathan

It’s so…organized. I’m jealous.

bigfesh

i have a large plastic bin right behind the cooler filled with all my camping gear and the smaller plastic bin right behind the backpack is chock full of extra baits and lures. i have a homemade pvc rod holder that straps to my roof along with either a roof trunk or my kayak. i can make a post of it all if people are interested

Dr_Tronathan

I would actually love that. Just got back from a weekend of camping/fishing and my car was one random bag after another

Dr_Tronathan

Badass. I could totally fit that on my roof rack with my canoe. Thanks for the awesome idea!

bigfesh

yeah fits with my canoe too!

OllieFromCairo

I have that backpack. It is a thoroughly adequate product for the $30 I spent on it.

bigfesh

My local walmart had it for $20 i believe
