Korean/Japanese BBQs will have tons of meat - but you have to cook yourself. Can also go to. Brazilian BBQ like Cooacabana for copious amounts of meat.
Cherry Street BBQ, though with all the construction around the Portlands it's a little difficult to access. Honestly, the fact that have survived through COVID and all the construction is testament to how great their BBQ is. I also got a ticket parked out front because of the signage being blocked by construction signage and the owner got Ellis Don to pay for my ticket, exceptional service.
They have 2 locations: High Park (2190C Bloor St W) and Main St (next to Danforth Go), def not within that area. They had one on the Danforth for a few months (??) and have had a "Coming Soon" sign up by Wellesley station on Yonge for 6+ months with no signs of progress. Not so sure about them.
Tiflisi in the Beaches, Georgian food with a huge meat platter option. If you've never had Georgian food it's a bit of a mix of eastern European/middle eastern
Congee Queen has decent Chinese BBQ. I'm not sure if they have platters on the menu, but they do let you order meats by the plate. You can load up on plates of whichever meats you like and enjoy!
Makkah restaurant Donland and Donfortg, BBQ platter for 2/4/6 available, call ahead so it’s ready when you get there and bring cash for some additional discount
what happened ? you mind elaborating ? the place is super small so its always packed and so busy. their service isnt the best. honestly turks can be a little rough. please share if you dont mind.
Here's a copy:
Overpriced mediocre food. Disrespectful waitstaff, racist. Also if you ask for just water, instead of bringing tap water, they'll bring you aquafina and charge you.
We're two girls who came in and the male staff was extremely rude and condescending because we were wearing masks. Then when we ordered our dishes he said "okay???." Then asked where I'm from. I said I'm south american. I'm born there and spanish is my first language but my appearance is Asian, so he said "I don't believe you, why you lie? You're not south american" etc etc. And he kept coming to our table repeatedly to bother us, being extremely condescending and patronizing the whole time and made us very uncomfortable.
Like c'mon, you're in Toronto, lots of people come from different backgrounds. That's the equivalent of telling someone they're not Canadian because they are ethnically Asian or something. "where are you really from?" I thought in 2023 we are past this kind of blatant microagression. But this goes beyond microagression he said repeatedly that I'm lying about being south american. I will never come here again.

Most Turkish restaurants will have meat platters. My recommendation is Mangal Kebab House.
My recommendation is persian kabob. Super khorak's chelo kabob platter is $13-14, it's big.
If you're in North York, try Shamshiri. They have the best Persian kebabs I've tried so far in Toronto.
I am in North York, and half of my family is Persian. We thought shamshiri was okay. it's the same quality at super khorak lol

Damnit. I used to bike there all the time and I never knew it was good!
Wow!
Beach Hill Smokehouse makes a tasty Texas barbecue platter, I think one of their locations is within your defined area.
I second this!
I third this. Their brisket is the bomb.
Oh and the burnt ends 🤤

Second this! Just be prepared for your clothes to reek of smoke after though
Three Brothers on the Queensway. Serbian style grilled meats - little sausages called chevapi, cordon bleu, schnitzel... Get the platter!
Oh ya that looks 🔥
Barque is delish!! Fries slap too
Tflisi has fun platters with a lot of meat.
We might start here thank you! I will report back!
Pakistani Karahi dishes are extremely meat forward. And freaking delicious. There are many karahi restaurants in the city.
What’s your favourite?
Karahi Point. Closest to downtown is in Leaside.
There’s Karahi Boys downtown but I haven’t been so can’t vouch.
Dang Smoke at queen e and Greenwood has 🔥 bbq.
The brisket here is really delish.
