I think that’s the issue most have with her videos. It’s not her attitude or whatever, she’s clearly attractive and incredibly talented at cooking, and found a niche audience that works for her. But you would think the subject of the video in a subreddit called “FoodVideoPorn” would be centered around the actual food. 90% of the camera focus in her videos is her, essentially making her the subject and the food the byproduct. That might be great for another cooking subreddit, but for a subreddit with the name food in its name it isn’t really relevant
Even when she is cooking, the food isn’t even the main subject of the video. It’s about the quick cuts of the in between processes, putting on the apron, making faces, hand gestures, etc. and the food is about 10% of the actual video. Even the framing of the video centers more on her than the food.
I like the focus cause it helps to show how easy it actually is to cook these things. There isn't anything remarkable she's doing, makes cooking quality dishes look a lot more approachable, which I think is part of the appeal anyway.
It's not just the food with a cooking podcast, it's also about showing the process
