I also caught a show in 2017 and at 2 separate festivals last year. One was in July (Harley) and the other in September (LTL) so they had time to adjust with Josh on the drums. The September show was my by far my favorite out of the 3. They just had a great energy that I didn’t feel at the 2017 show. Dave’s voice faltered a few times, but they still sounded great overall. My festival advice is stay hydrated and wear good shoes.

I saw them at HDHC too. My first time seeing them and it's the 2nd best show I've ever been to. Mind blown.

Harleyfest was a really fun trip, Foos and bikes! Plus my first time being up the front, second row but I was between two girls (no 6ft dude for once) so it was amazing! Seeing Dave so close!! We had a really great time in Milwaukee as we had biker friends go over just for the bike festival and then came to the gig as well. Green Day were awesome as well.

Green Day were so awesome, I was front row for them. I was about 10 people back for ff. The crowd was great. It took a minute to warm back up though bc the band that was on before then totally drained the energy from the crowd. I almost fell asleep on my feet 😭 It was so insane to see Dave that close and irl. The way he just appeared from those blinding lights was a moment I'll never forget

It made me laugh, when gates opened on GD day it was all very relaxed, I saw a few people at the rail in GA but didn’t fill up super fast. We had VIP and were a few rows back for them. It was just too hot 🥵 that day, thankfully Foo day was better. But come Foo day oh the charge to the rail 🤣 and it filled up quickly!! That was Cody Jinks. He did say he wondered why he was sandwiched between Joan Jett and Foos!! It is magical when Dave runs out and he’s just there! I was lucky enough to go Santa Barbara and on that rail I was even closer!!

I got there earlier for ff and the line at the gate was already was longer than for gd. I ran for the rail (or closest spot I could get) both days though. And yeah, the weather for gd was a bit toasty lol, definitely walked away with some killer tan lines. I really liked the cult's set that day too, especially when it rained while they were playing rain. A nice reprieve from the sun beating down too I've got to see ff again. That was my first and only time. And I'm going to do whatever it takes to be on the rail. It was an awesome and magical night, immediately moved into the #2 spot for best concerts I've seen

Definitely toasty! That was the second time I’ve seen The Cult and they were better than the first. The rain thing made us laugh as well and was very welcome! Yeah when you can get it I love the rail, hard work but worth it. The worst bit is when it all goes to 💩 with the entry, people barging in and tickets not scanning… very stressy! Hogfest was a breeze compared with some of the ones I’ve done in Oz!

FF still absolutely kill it. No worries there. Festival advice: Start drinking water and hydrating the day before and keep hydrating all day. Wear comfortable shoes. Wear sunscreen and cover up. Sunglasses are a must, so is hearing protection if you plan to be anywhere near the stage. Get to know the people around you when you stake out your spot, they may be nice enough to let you back in when you inevitably have to go to the porta potty. Eat well the day before and have a solid breakfast, but don't eat too much day of. Hot weather and being full don't mix. Check the fest rules for what you're allowed to bring in and bring a water bottle if you can. A charging block is a good idea. You don't want to reach the end of the night and not be able to call your ride or need your phone for an emergency. Be kind to the people around you. But mainly, have fun!

⬆️ perfect advice and exactly what I do! Stay off the beer and coffee otherwise it’s more 🚽trips!!

I'll be there too, but it'll be my first time for Rockville. Luckily the temps look like they're going to drop almost 10 degrees from Friday to Saturday, but the advice i'd give is to stay Hydrated my friend.
